Hey Deanos - if the gate motor battery has gone flat, do you need to re-program the gate/re-program the remote once you replace the gate motor battery?
Hi Deanos i have the same Centurion which i know its an old one i had power failure i turn it to manual just on the knob at the bottom but now the power is back and it doesnt want to work in Auto what to do
No idea. I would highly suggest checking there is power going to the unit, if not, check that it hasn't tripped inside somewhere. If it still doesn't work, then get you local gate company to maybe take a look. Sorry if I can't be of much more help. Many things can go wrong...
Thanks for the comment. I usually remove the red (positive) one first. This is to prevent any shorts made from the negative touching something before you get the red one off. So Red first, then Black. Just good practice when dealing with any power source...
Ok so you're saying that it's total opposite what we do on car battery? we always remove the negative first in car's battery, and when installing we install the positive first then the negative. But in Gate's motor it's all the other way around? Just wanna make sure. Tx
Thank you. Excellent video. I used your advice and changed battery.
Thank you. Think you just saved me R600

Hi, do I need to wait for a certain time before I can operate the gate after installing the new battery?
I don't think so.
Should just work.
Cool, thanks for the reply
Thanks, nice explanation.
When I take out/install the battery again, how do I remove the cables (Black & Red) in order? or it doesn't matter which one first/last?
Thanks for the comment.
I usually remove the red (positive) one first.

I'm not an electrician, so whichever way works best for you will do.
If you quick, you can almost pull both off at the same time...
Then i'll do it the same way we do it on a car see how it goes. And good video choice tx
Can you tell me my D5 evo motor gate some time very slow and making beep beep voice
Hi. Sorry, no I can't. But call your local service agent and ask them.
They can help.

Thanks
excellent video
So if i get one of those charger things, I dont have to replace the battery everytime the power goes out?
LOL! The battery is on constant charge because the whole unit actually runs off 12V...
So to answer your question, No, it won't help you....
Thanks, I will invest in solar now rather. The sun has bigger batteries
Martin Brown And if it's cloudy or the sun blows out? Then what you gonna do? Huh? Huh? Huh?
How about at night? Hmmmmm?
They keep stealing my battery how can I make it to open the gate with out the battery
Simple answer... You can't. It works on 12V so it needs the battery...
cheers man thanks
You're welcome.... Glad I could help.
Thanks boss
I dont have a gate motor
Then you won't need to change the battery! 😁👍
