- May 18, 2018 - The first race of five that were featured at the 2018 Miles City Bucking Horse Sale held annually in Miles City, Montana. Seven teams competed against each other and the clock in this race. Three man teams consist of an anchor, mugger, and rider. The anchor holds the rope, mugger holds the horse, and the rider saddles the horse, mounts, and rides all the way around the race track and back into the arena. This event is a fan favorite and one heck of a wild ride!
This looks like fun, LOL ole boy sliding through the mud on his stomach behind that mustang 🐎 I'm out in Ellis county Texas gotta be an event around here somewheres?
This wild horse race event is held annually in Miles City, Montana. It’s held in a few other places, but few others have the full lap around the track option.
I was bummed I didn't get to go to this last year because it was called I hope to make it this year
I was pretty disappointed about the cancellation myself! So far it looks like it’s happening for 2021!
😭😭😭😭😭😭🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎
I love horses so much and as an equestrian I find this somewhat strange but also entertaining
This is not entertaintment. This is cruelty.
@@trilothepod Why?
@@steeldriver5338 And to get the horses going (or bucking) they hit them with theire hands, i dont care if its not hard they just shouldnt be doing it.
It's got to come out!! !
I may not know much about rodeos but I do know that a horse does not love to buck that’s just ridiculous and if it hadn’t been abused they wouldn’t buck because they wouldn’t be scared of people that are on them
And the way that these people are yanking on their mouths and pulling like crazy just stresses them out
Why comment your knowledge on a rodeo video if you openly admit that you don’t know what’s going on here? These horses aren’t professional bucking horses. They are still roughstock, and were bred or purchased for this very purpose. This is an event at a rodeo, not a horsemanship clinic. These horses are either spoiled or haven’t been handled much, so that is why they express the behavior seen in the video. Professional bucking horses, which these are not, are literally bred to buck. They don’t buck from “abuse.” These days some people think riding a horse at all is abuse. It’s ludicrous.
Lazy K M Over Bar Horsemanship that’s not what she was trying to say
@@ss-tr1ey The original commenter thinks the behavior from these horses is from abuse. They also mentioned that these horses buck because of their abuse, which is untrue. They need to understand what’s going on in the sport and understand every angle before they make judgements about it.
I wish people would explain more about how "wild horse racing" actually works, because a lot of people believe that they are taking young, unbroke horses and traumatizing them. While it's true that they used to do that, in modern wild horse racing the horses are provided by the same people who provide the bronc horses. They're either second string bucking horses (that don't buck hard enough to be used as broncs), or horses that are selected for being, well. Difficult. I've met a couple I'd *cheerfully* consign to this event, because at least then they'd be useful.
Thanks for that info.
Does anyone have video of the Saturday evening race 2018?
Possibly. I have a playlist on my channel with all of my Bucking Horse Sale videos.
They need to just keep calm and the horse will be good
Equestrian Rylee thats not how these horses work
they just need to cover there eyes and get there mane
32 hrs well true because they will buck but yeah a bond can’t be fit into 3 min
Equestrian Rylee They’re not looking to establish a “bond” here. It’s a rodeo event where the winner takes the bank and the horses live on good feed for working for five minutes at a rodeo a couple times a season. This isn’t how you train a horse. If you’re looking for Horsemanship techniques my channel currently has almost 700 videos.
Lazy K M Over Bar Horsemanship I’m very aware of rodeo , they need to not run after them because the horse gets scared , I throw the saddle on horses that have just come to my place not even broke nor gelded and you just push down on the lead and walk closer
Naughty horse my friend had one she said woah easy relax relax it did we all laughed like fun wher do we go those horses crazy and funny 😄🤣😂
The horses is not scary the Bulls is scary
What?
J
You guys do not understand how amazingly TOUGH horses really are.
Go go go! Jou van do it horse’s!!!!!!!
Thats some great entertainment.
Thank you! It certainly is a fun watch.
Y'all this looks hella fun I wanna try it 😂😂😂
Bucking Horse Sale is the third weekend in May every year! See you there!
Crazy as all get-out and good entertainment. For those who think this is cruel to the horses it's not. They're trained bucking stock. For those who want to discuss animal cruelty look at what the US Calvary did to break horses back in the day.
Amazing 😉 s the only word
They are trained to do it...
These horses have little to NO HANDLING. Maybe some of them have been used in this event or as buckers before, but that is likely the extent of their know-how.
(I'm probably wrong but) I bet those are stallions and they have there man stuff tied up or something.
mah channel - I highly doubt there are any studs in these events just because studs are a pain in the butt to manage with a big group. Also, do you know how hard it is to be around a wild horse’s rear end at all without getting killed, let alone tying up their “man stuff” as you put it? Really?
@@LazyKMOverBarHorsemanship I'm confused whats the obligation? And can the horse break its neck if it rears hard enough?
ash rein I’m unsure as to the obligation that you’re referring to, could you clarify?
Personally I’ve never seen a horse break it’s neck from rearing out in open air. They can have issues if they flip all the way over backwards or if they rear and hit their head on something, sure.
