"Don't wanna be too vigorous, though." *proceeds to beat the shit out of them*
I have been watching these videos all damn day. Dude, your videos are insane. I can't even comprehend what is happening, but I love everything about it. Scientific Journals, Ph.D. level lectures, survival skills, and totally bro-ing out and being hilarious while doing it. Absolute Legend
It's 2am and I am learning more about mushrooms than I ever knew.
Love to hear it
I’m doing it at 1am
"I don't need a girlfriend, mother nature fucks me all the time" XD Damn you sling some funny shit, mate. 10/10 would agree. Greeting from Denmark.
I actually paused the video and made tea when you said to
I didn't but I thought of it
I paused it rolled a joint and grabbed coffee
Primordial Om same :)
I made a good brew with 1 sugar!
that lime tree knowledge though. gg.
also casualy refering to dmt...
Thanks for the heads up on Basswood Inner bark. After watching this when it came out, we finally tried it on a recent backpacking trip. Good times.
Miss ya man, this was my go to video to sleep to 7ish years ago. Cheers
damn, you loved him
Dude, your videos have helped me train a lot of boy scouts over the years. They're great, keep up the good work.
This is a very good source of education and entertainment. Thank you!
Very cool..
Really enjoying your videos.. Sucks you're taking the winter off.. but I hear ya. I was out yesterday and it was pissing down rain. #Badtimes
Thanks for the video
I love these videos, they seem so interactive because your not just showing up pictures, and you dont teach like this is a lecture or a class.
You really amp'ed up you content quality since the first videos man. I really like it. Professional videos and informative content served with a touch of humor and personality. You found your trademark. Good job, keep it up.
The most interesting bushcraft channel there is. Should be on TV. Very clever fella and funny. The Ali G of the great outdoors.
Its hard to find a channel that is informative and hilarious! :) keep up the good work.
You hang around wiff smart, ya get smart. I'm subscribed. Oh yeah.
You are, in a word, brilliant! Especially for someone so young.
A whole new and very entertaining way of looking at the different types of fungi, definitely got to watch those death caps...wouldn't want them spoiling my wild camp endeavors. Take care and mind what you put in your mouth...
Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge and your wideboy vocal mannerisms.
This, Monsieur Aesthetics, is a great idea. Enfin someone who goes through.the pain of educating the masses ignorantes to the differences between champignons. Merci and please continuez.
just brilliant , we watch your vids as a family thing , watching this before school ,,, keep up the good work
Love dem cheeky remarks yu make! Keep up the knowledge sharing and humor
Hey bro, cheers for putting all this together. The 101 stuff really helps appreciate your vids and the subject further. Informative for days lol
These videos are brilliant been watching these for DAYS 😂😂
I live in Texas and you have vastly enhanced my curiosity in my local mycology, I remember going through military survival training and their advice was "don't eat mushrooms unless you know what the fuck you're doing" 😂. But after seeing all of your videos today [been a 19 hour binge watch, don't judge], there's a morrel about the size of a shoe that pops up every march right outside of my apartment
Gonna cook that bitch for my birthday 😀
after watching you and your really good work you have inspired me to find out more about different fungi and plant life and keep track myself. just like everyone else im really looking forward to you bringing another grate video to the chanel. hope your well and thank you.
Crazy fun guy loving his mamma natura ;)
Cool! Loved the ending
11:24 the tree conk makes 4 feet of punk wood in the center of the live tree ! 4 feet of the log is cull ,for lumber production ! I was a timber tech, in the USFS in the 1980s love your vids !very very educational !
Alfie? Why can't I see this in uploads, but it is visible in Camp aesthetics. Curius, youtube is a little awkward sometimes... Great video again. I' proud of you and me. So much information, and my brain did not explode like the death star. You are like a teacher, you're a cody lundin kinda guy. Would like it if you would walk on bare feet, wearing shorts, drinking ur willow leaf tea, in decembre. Ultimate swag, right there.
Another great video, Alfie. Keep them coming!
hey man I love your videos! as an outdoorsy type I have a tip for you! bring along a tapered plastic ballpoint pen cap to blow through when you're blowing on your embers. You will be seriously amazed at how much easier and faster you can make flames, even in harsh conditions. good luck and stay classy!
Sweet I'll have to give that a try my self gg
can you reference a video describing this trick please? I'm intrigued
Or an old radio antenna, works much superior. Or those cheeky metal telescopic back scratchers.
Taxonomy lessons for days!
I went and got a Rum and Coke, sat down an then you blew my mind! I had no idea you were such a genius! Thanks from Minnesota.
This video is funny as hell and at the same time super educational
From the way you put the death cap it sounds completely safe and we should eat more of those
XD wat no
on second thought, maybe the idiots should be persuaded to do that and earth would be purged
Dude love the videos. Keep up the good work man. Wanted to see if your opinion on the so called "magic mushroom" (aka Amanita muscaria found in the queens palace recently. Does it really cause vivid hallucinations?
Psychedsubtance has 2 videos on Amanita mascaria
Please do a vid on british mushrooms containing psilocybin. PLEASE. I did try looking when i was younger, sure i was picking ink caps though. Lime tree bark eh?? Lol. Are you a mycologist?
just dry it to destroy the toxins, low quantity it's knda like a beer of a few, in higher quanitys, yes stuff gets strange
I love yer vids too mate! How come you're so well versed in pharmacognocy? Eh? Funny thing I'm just at the beginning of your Mycology vid..when I was young and sprightly like you and my sister and me used to go collecting mushrooms (ahem) if any of the locals asked us what we were up to in the playing field we'd say we were doing a biology assignment on mycoproteins and that used to shut em up cos they thought you were really clever like (not that I'm not but big words tends to take the wind out their sails LOL!
Once again, mind blown by your insight. Cheers from Ontario
In Spain they have linden blossom tea (they call it tila) that's been used as a mild pain (and hangover) reliever for centuries. You can still buy something called 'tila' in typical little tea bags in the supermarkets, but I'm not sure if it's the real thing, I haven't tried it. There's actually a Spanish classic book, of the type you're forced to read in school, called Insolación by Emilia Pardo Bazan, where the main character at one point has a hangover and has tila tea to get rid of the headache.
Another outstanding production. Fun an intuitive with a sprinkle of wtf art at the end for good measure. Blame the Limo tree
The evil death cap, evil and agonizing.... Sounds like my brother +AlfieAesthetics
Never thought I'd learn from a random guy from the uk on the internet then school ever would
looking forward with new vids 👍👍👍
ALFFFFFF, i stumbled across what i thought to be Laetiporus sulphureus- Chicken of the Woods. I stupid ass like me really ought to tread lightly on mushroom action, don't want to puke out my insides. But you do have a good knowledge of this stuff... any of your vids touch on CHICKEN OF THE WOOODS? Reading up, it should be one of the easiest to ID, but i am new and enjoy not chucking up my innards. Thanks bro.
quite the coincidence that I had a cup of tea crackin when I clicked on this video!!
I LOVE your videos! Yesterday after final exams I watched the ALL day! :) you should make some more ;)
I learn so much from these videos, 10/10 would bang.
I wish you would come over to Australia and do some vids here to so we Australians could learn some local tips and tricks as well! :) grate vid as alway keep it up bruv!
Top tips for happy campers. I love it!
Killing it as usual. Spot on.
Hey Alfie !! Have you ever considered writing a book with like all your knowledge of fungus uses and survival know hows like tea recipies and shelter and fire do dads ?? I for 1 would buy a copy :) - Your Irish Sub , A.Fairbrother
All I can say is Tillia, thanks bro, and miss your vids man.
Enjoy your educational style. Thank you.
Thanks for the Lime tree protip. Not that I'd ever, EVER try it out. Just you know, thanks.

Well if this isn't the best channel on youtube! Ha. Ha.
Awesome stuff.
this man is lucky to live next to places like this. im in England and am nowhere near the places he goes. looks fun and i want to join :D
Done well. I enjoy your educational satire. You are a bit over the top. But not so much as to be annoying. I look forward to watching more of your videos.
Great video as always.
You might think about putting a piece of foam on your microphone to cut the wind.
i love the enthusiasm you make these with haha
If this guy held a class in a university, I will not miss one.
Linden bark is great for making twine, very adaptable.
Autumn in Spain, tons of the seed winging down in the wind....tilia
You are my spirit animal man. Hungry for knowledge and you are so entertaining! I wish we could be friends.
I am an ecosystem management student in Canada. we have a lot of basswood Tilia americana but we also have the Small-leaved Linden Tilia cordata. I cant speak for our American neighbors but we have both.
Btw. Addicted to your f...g videos in just few days. You go "girl " 😉
Awesome info! loved the video.
Great channel, lots of fun. Cheers!
Could you make videos showing different shelters, and showing why you made them different?
+MCQBushcraft will get you started.
"Dont get too vigurous..." procedes to viguresly agitate the pufballs.
As a mycologist, you're such a fun guy.
An Amanita Phalloides also has a rose like smell. Sweet like a flower. I thought I would mention it, good bit of information.
This guy, this guy is like survival gangster.
the bluing of that bolete reminds me of the bruising characteristics of psylocybin containing mushrooms.
"don't want to get too vigorous"
*slams puffballs together vigorously*
16:04 oyster mushrooms. I grew these twice, they were amazing. (we bought them as mycelium at a store in a growth brick.)
also, a good idea for growing them: plenty of water, and taking the biggest caps off first to let the smaller ones grow.
A shout out from america, i watch your vids almost everyday, thank you for your insight on nature, truly educated and funny as shit,,, lol. loooking forwards to learning more.. be blesssed
Nobody likes America. Greetings from Germany, next to the UK, Europe, you stupid USA moron

Andy
M8 that wash a super video ! The thigs you saw! Motha natur loves you!
PROOF that good communication can make the most boring of shit interesting to teach and watch.
Widow makers abound. Good luck mate.......
24:44 Well, some say Ragnarok already happed. So if Hati and Skoll are gone, then whose the elephant eating the sun?
Nice one this about linden or lime as you call it. Is it safe to get the bark or inner-bark of the linden tree and not damage it or how do you secure it without cutting the tree? I can only find linden flowers enough. Will that do ? cheers
Thanks. This helps tremendously.
@AlfieAesthetics do you have pheasant backs, aka dryad sattle or halkwing, where you live? Im sure its a polypore ive seen you eat alot of shrooms but never a tender young pheasant back. What gives?
Keep up the good videos chap
I'm giving a mushroom news tour so this is great for cramming really fast on the way over, haha!
Hi Alfie, can you also smoke the leaves of the Linden Tree or is it just strictly the 'flower and inner bark'?
Thank you,
"the anus of mother nature." fucken love it.
Alfie, the blueish looking bolete is probably a Boletus Iodine :)
Ha ha nice one mate
Your videos are really awesome!! I hope you keep them coming.
I've always wanted to find some Oyster mushrooms. Lucky!
Had me on my knees Alfie. God damn too funny.
Lind makes me high? That's the Norwegian name btw. Fuck yeah. Imma get me some of that next year!
in which county of the UK do you do most of your foraging? I've only just got into bushcraft and I'm glad I stumbled across you, absolutely love your videos, so much knowledge presented with a decent sense of humour too haha.
just found this channel, holy fuck this dude is funny as hell, but at the same time very informative, good shit.
well if I didn't just have the best god dam mycology lesson going... thanks bro. Need to find me a Linden tree or two and set up a new camp, next years guna be a blast.
love your videos
