That looks really good. I’m getting ready to have an old flat bed fixed up and painted myself, I hope it looks as good as yours when it’s done. Nice to see hard working family people in these troubled days. Great Job guys.
After 3 years how well is this holding up? We are currently doing a rattle can refresh on our flat bed. Hoping to get at least a couple of decent looking years out of it.
Got some questions. I’ve got a 2012 dodge ram 3500 with about the same rust and wear. So no way you got all the rust removed? How long has it held up? And is it rusting through the paint over time? I’m considering having mine sandblasted but that is just more expensive in the restoration process! Any help appreciated! It turned out nice looking, good job!
Do you know what brand this bed is? I have this exact same bed on my 2002 F350 7.3L 6spd 4x4.. and I had to beef up the tow hitch with some heavy angle iron, just like you guys did. I got it used.. So I'm not sure what brand it is.
It sure looks great ! U did 2 coats of primer right? I’m gathering supplies to start this tonight I know I’ll be sanding for days but …… “what kind of primer/ paint did u use”? Maybe u said that and I missed it

What paint did you end up using? I’m cleaning up my flatbed and am looking for a good paint to use

Good work but what’s with this absolutely unbearable music?

What primer / paint ?
Gray primer and black paint.

Next time rust inhibitor make your paint job last. Longer 😉
I need my flatbed restored, but its almost as expensive as buying a new one.
You can paint it for $50
