If you're looking to make a lot of money by starting a business during what could be a recession that's coming, then you've come to the right place, let's do it!
    Netflix - www.netflix.com/
In 97 was inspired by Reed Hastings who guy hit with a $40 late fee after not turning a DVD on time to blockbuster. Netflix an online on demand company that started during the dot com crash. A story that should motivate a lot of you who have felt that you e been wronged by being penalized with a fee.
What helped this company during the recession was
    1. It solved the issue of having to return to a store
    2. It removed the sense of urgency by removing penalty
    3. It was a service that can target a wide audience because it served all types of entertainment
    4. Easy to see pricing
Based on looking at how netflix started and blossomed in a recession was due to it being completely digital, with that it doesn't have to pay expensive rent or have to have as many employees managing the store. This helped them save money while many other businesses like blockbusters failed to adapt to the times. Another reason Netflix prospered was the extreme convenience of the platform. You did not have to go to a physical location, you couldn't lose your Netflix forever, you can recover it via email, which you can't with a physical product and it's was easy to scale because everyone loves access to some quality entertainment. Especially when they can choose to see it immediately with no ads. There seems to be an endless amount of content on Netflix which keeps people coming back to it, not to mention that there are Netflix originals and exclusives! So Netflix essentially transformed the entertainment niche through pure convenience in all shapes and forms.
Uber - ubr.to/2Lnwcz6 (Become an Uber Driver)
Founded in 2009 right after the financial crisis of 2008 by garret camp and Travis kalanick. A tech company that connects people with drivers who could take them to where they need to go, and recently with Uber eats, connect people with restaurants and a driver who's willing to bring their food straight to their door.
What helped the company prosper after the financial crisis was
    1. Transparent pricing, you know what you're paying before the cab arrives
    2. Extreme convenience in that you can track and hail a cab from your phone
    3. It is a service that people use all the time, people have to get places and need something like uber to feed into their impatience
Uber took a similar approach as Netflix being that it delivers an online service with on demand like features, but it's not focus on the entertainment niche, it's focused on the transportation niche. Another great thing about uber is that it offers independent contractor an opportunity to make endless amounts of money. You work to your hearts content and you can get the same tax benefits as a company.
    AirBnB - bit.ly/2XtYw5i
Which you can argue is the Uber for looking for a place to say. The great thing about AirBnB is the variety and organization of the platform. You can find all types of accommodations like luxurious apartments, townhouses and cabins. AirBnB is great because it even offer competitive pricing compared to average hotels. Another great thing about Airbnb is that not only does AirBnB make money but if allows anyone who lives or has real estate to be able to list it on AirBnB and make money off of it, if it's allow by your landlord and or local laws. Despite the possible regulations, AirBnB is a great opportunity for many people and AirBnB itself to make money.
Based on these three companies in order for you to make a successful company during recession you must fulfill the needs of a service that people use everyday, people must be able to gain access to the service through their phone in a on demand fashion. And it would be even better if that service offers possible money making opportunities for others. And lastly, the cost of the service should be upfront and have no surprises like hidden fees or charges.
If you're interested in signing up to be an Uber driver or interested in listing some space on AirBnB links will be in the description there is also a link to sign up to Netflix if you haven't already.
