To be fairrrr, this is how progress is made; by trying, failing, and trying again. It's what made the 80s so awesome, just how many new ideas were out there. Not all were successful but they paved the way for what we have now.
Netbook may have failed, but Chromebooks are basically the same thing now.
Still Was a Awesome Time To Be Alive I miss that decade
I imagine 3D television might make a comeback, the way VR made a comeback after the 90s.
And the absence of 3D television support is now the biggest reason movie studio don't release 3D Blu-Rays anymore. It still has an audience (I genuinely prefer watching a movie in 3D than 4K), and with the rise of VR headsets you could think they would at least release the 3D versions on VOD ? But no, you can only watch them in cinemas, where the 3D quality can vary A LOT.
Surprised you didn’t mention how the Segway tech directly gave us the “hoverboards” we have now
Smart glasses? You mean the scouters from Dragon Ball Z! 🤣
Also Segway: What a shame. To be fair it has led to great technology with skate/hoverboards and was a cool concept. It was just too difficult to navigate, too clunky and WICKED expensive. Didn’t help that the Co-CEO died while using one. That led to its demise.
Great video and I enjoyed it and have a blessed day
Funny thing is, I still have my 55" 3D TV from 2011 and I still enjoy popping in a 3D blu-ray or streaming a 3D movie from time to time. I hate that they don't make them anymore. I also used to enjoy playing 3D games on it as well, but those seem to have disappeared too.
2022 is the year to talk about all of the 2000's!
The volume differences in this video remind me of late night commercials in the early 2000's
Who remembers the "Blackberry" "Walkmans " were cool too!
Poor MySpace...
Some of these did make a comeback.
This video was a nostalgia trip
Totally fantastic video watch mojo of fail production that fall in a big way, never recovered too, amazing job.
What would have happened if these technologies were done better after their first test?
I still have my 3-D tv, and use it regularly.
