It's an unusual song in that it's properly spelled bonnie not bonny, yet conversely pronounced bonny not bonnie. The original Scots styles it 'Boney ship' for some reason, yet historically it was actually a bunny ship, having been used by 'Auld Crackpot Thompson' in a failed attempt to introduce rabbits to Greenland.
