Okay due to all the comments I should mention that the bath does not ever get used! It's actually the furthest I can place the system away from the water!
Humidity will still get to it
The Tech Guy true and speaker cone will deteriorate
I don't a think he minds that much
Cut out a large piece of plywood and turn the entire bathrub into a speaker enclosure. You'll get so much deep bass and you can use 4x Dayton woofers in there (2 sets parallel wired in series)
Your bathroom has a system? Well I guess you gotta pound bass even when your taking a shit👌👌
I do to, I use it when I’m taking a shower
@@basshead1027 Same. Bassic system, Logitech z333. Oddly sounds really really good for what it is
Who else is excited to see Doublsmm new system ?

Lucid Dreams + Doublsmm speakers = 🔥🔥🔥
The board that you pointed inside the subwoofer box is actually the power supply of it. Pretty good speaker swap actually didnt expect a woofer inside a subwoofer box keep up the good videos as always 👍👍👌👌
Power supply and amplifier unit 👍🤙☝️✊👉🖕👈👇🦶✌🖐👌
Ain't nothing like listening to some jams while taking a crap yeah. Liked.
Dafuq?! 🤣😂
Why is your taste in music so good oml
man, its garbage. those songs are the fortnite of music
The Dayton ND140-8 requires a pretty big box. You might be getting a one note sound out of it because of the high Q (peak in the response at around 70-80Hz), thereby increasing efficiency in that region . So, basically the woofer is now a subwoofer playing the above mentioned frequencies louder than anything else giving the impression of louder bass.
I preferred the sound stock vs you boosting 60Hz lol. There's probably a resistor or two in the sub amplifier circuit you could change to make the gain higher, thereby increasing the apparent bass. Could even add a potentiometer.
Those Dayton woofers are great. I have nd91's
That amplifier you showed on the camera is a switch mode power supply. It converts AC from your wall outlet to DC to supply the amplifier with power.
Hello and thank you for showing how to replace a sub in this type of audio set up. The Dayton Audio woofers on Amazon it's title: The Dayton ND140-8 5-1/4" Aluminum Cone Mid bass Neo Driver 8 Ohm.
I was listening to your video while not really watching too closely and that first song you played came on and I was like “wtf?” and looked up and sure enough that song is by a good friend of mine. Exodus.
Turning the Spotify eq all the way up distorts whatever frequency you boosted
Love your vids man keep up the awsome work
I have the same speakers and they're pretty good!
Pretty weak lol
JustRoger bfdjfs
Pretty Good for rubbish speakers yes lol
What kind are they?
, dude, do you have a death wish ???
move that sub away from the tub now !!!!!!!!!!!!!🚑🚑⚡⚡⚡⚡🚑🚑🚑⚡
Tim Schutte my thoughts exactly !
if the water splashing to the power cable it's totaly gone wrong
maybe he should buy the jbl go2 or jbl clip
Worst jbls ever. Charge 3 minimum
haha
4:05 electronics right on the edge of the tub, classic
OMG that speaker system placement at the end. LMAO!!!
Please wall mount a system away from the tub. Haha
I always love your videos 😍
Meee tooooo
I love your Videos, keep rolling, dude!
My Brother got a logitech sound system for his pc and the Subwoofer is Working pretty good :o
That’s awesome! Amazing job!!!
You replace the driver, I replace the enclosure. I made a new enclosure and used the old logitech x358 (or something like that) driver
Our family uses a jbl clip 2 bt speaker for bathroom speaker, plays really good for the size of it!! Plus it’s IPX7 waterproof.. but the downside is you have to charge it all the time! But you get what you payed for!
f no
@@Random_4400 it still works I gotta say that
Why do you have it in the bathroom?
Facts
in the bathroom?! why?
Need to feel the bass in my asshole while in takeing a shit
For music in the shower lol? You must take the most boring showers 😂
Lmfao I'm literally in my Jacuzzi tub listening on a soundcore reve mini looking to make a better set up just so I can have better sound 😅😅😅
Thank you for making this video
I’m really looking forward for the new system coming soon
crossover freq is doubles. changed with impedance doubling.also half the power
I have a Logitech z2300 setup I use in my garage and for what it is it sounds pretty good. The highs are, well, high and clean but the bass takes that a step further, I can play it LOUD and there's no distortion just a clean tight punchy sound.
Imo the z2300 was the last of the good Logitech speaker systems, they went to cheaper amps and drivers to increase their profits and it shows sadly.
I have to totally agree with you. I miss when they made better sound systems. I still use one of their systems, the Z333 in my basic computer setup. It's just that their systems don't kick like they did back then. They are for the more basic user.
Yea they use cheap class d amps now back than the z5500 z5450 z2300 all had class ab amps which sounded much nicer they all use those TDA729... chips which are i have to say for there size very powerfull
I have the Z623 and X530, the X530 have the best sound overall, very good for music listening, looks like the oldies logitech speakers are always better
DualPerformance nah had the x530 the bass isn’t deep or good and the highs sound boxy and on high volumes the speakers start to rattle strange cause of that Plastik enclosure but I still like the system somehow
Did you own the speakers?, x-530 cut the mid frecuency from the satellites in a high point so most of mid bass go straight to the subwoofer, if your satellites are making noises during high volumen they must be defective, my speakers works really good even at high volumen with no distortion, and the bass is more deep than any other 5.25 inch subwoofer in the pc market, for music listening I'm using a custom eq in foobar, the mid and high frecuency is better than the crappy z623 satellites, I own both speakers, but can't hear pleasant sound from the 623 for music listening, they are only suitable for movies (sorry for poor english)
I selected this video to see how u swap the wires, and that parts not even in here 😭 Very important part lol
I thought the sub on the Z533 was only 4", so it's actually 5 1/4"?
Yes
I have the same sub and the same sizee
The only advantage of a ferrite magnet is the weight
Ruben , just because a speaker has a heavier magnet makes it better HOW ??? Please explain it to me.
thats literally the point Ruben was making, the only difference is the weight (hes implying the performance is the same)
Chris King , the performance is not the same. Neodium magnet speakers are more sensitive and more efficient. therefore take less power to drive.
so with that said he will get more performance and spl out of that newer woofer because he is still using that low power amp.
No. Neo magnets don't guarantee ANY efficiency advantage. The size and strength of the magnet still determines sensitivity. Pound for Pound neo is stronger yes, but the design of the magnetic gap an utilization of the magnetic force determines efficiency.
You can make a crappy neo driver just as you can make a crappy ferrite driver. I mean Toyota factory car speakers in a Yaris use neo and they're far from special.
The fact that there is any(completely unmeasured in this video and only 'subjectively' has 'better' bass) change in bass is more likely due to the logitech driver being extremely cheap(low performance) than the magnet material being the reason. A decent ferrite driver properly matched to the enclosure would also give a great improvement.
Plus the video maker could have added damping material to the flimsy logitech box for a decent improvement also.
what if the dayton one had the same size neodymium magnet as the logitech one, would it be more sensetive?
Cheese 1337 I think yeah
You betcha! It would be very dangerous too. You wouldn't want to put any metallic object anywhere near it.
Many expensive drivers don't even use a neo magnet as big as the ferrite one on that Logitech driver. There's probably a saturation point and generally there's no real benefit to making it bigger.
Why do you upload a 9pm
(Maybe because of Australia's terrible internet)
I have the z cinema and they were the best pc speakers ever.
I love Doublsmm
Since you like to tinker, let me pick your brain. I have the z623 setup and I've noticed when my volume knob is below a quarter, the subwoofer is not playing at all. The minute I crank the volume on the speaker, the sub kicks on and starts bangin. Now I'm thinking this is signal related, but I could be wrong. They still sound decent when everything works, and I know everything works, but I don't want the only way to have bass is to have my volume cranked all the way. Now once the bass is on I can back the volume down and it will continue to play, but at any given moment the sub would just cut off and no more bass. Have you heard of this issue on any of these logitechs?
I recommend doing something like this if you don't want to fight with the crap. Remove wires from amplfier and all that crap, make speakers passive and then just get real amplifier (used or new) and wire it up. Maybe get some cross-overs and low-pass filter
i never had this to be honest, no matter what volume i used, but i always controlled it via the speakers themselves, not via the audio source.
i didn't really like my z623 tho, it's really not powerful at all and the satellites are garbage.
BH4x0r yeah they sound awful lool
I have the same problem! for some reason the bass does not go through and then when i crank the knob it plays! it does not play bass at low volumes or play a heavy bass song so it can actually play bass. But now it was somehow fixed? i just left it there for 2 weeks all of a sudden it works like normal.
Da_Racist_Asian mine has been doing it for years lol
Next you should do a 4th or 6th order bandpass sub box build
I learned stuff about magnets :D
Great idea not going to lie.
I'm about to receive this system and I like it a lot. But bass sometimes is a little weak. This mod should fix it.
You didnt have to replace the subwoofer if you hold the volume button for 2sec until it beeps you can adjust the bass and mid range
, I have that same problem kind of.... my Logitech subwoofer is a 6 inch and it does ok but it clips really bad below half way up on the volume.
so, I'm gonna either cut the box bigger and put in an 8 inch or just try what you did and get a new sub driver with the shielded magnet and see if that helps out.
it may very well be the amp but I don't think so
this plate amp is rated at 50 watts RMS to the sub and 35 watts RMS to the satalite speakers which suck as well and I'll be replacing those with a tangband full range 3 1/2 inch driver. the satalites now are these little 2 inch things and there is three of them.
I don't know what the ohm load is on those but I'll have to check that when I disassemble the satellite speakers. and try to match with something else.
I know that's most of these plate amps like 4 ohms better than eight so we will see when I rip them apart.
plate
Tim Schutte that's the shitty amplifier not the subs fault
I think
Probably very late, but reading this.. Your amp's gone mate, its had it
Nice Update
Bruh I’m finding every video other than what I have. I have a x540 what size speaker do I need for the subwoofer ?
I'm using peerless tymphany speakers working awsm
That Old Sub looks like my LG Sub
Ehi nice video! Can you recommend a replacement for the woofer in my logitech x-230 system? Thanks!
0:52 R.I.P Juice WRLD
What model is the Logitech
Strange place for a system like that. On the side of the bathtub. Buy a portable jbl for that.
Yeah like a charge 4😆😂😂😂😏
Buy a "Gharce 4" knock-off one. That way, if it ever falls in the tub, you won't feel bad for it. lol
does the subwoofer that is linked fit an loigtech z333 subwoofer swap, and pay better. My subwoofer for the z333 is blown
Hey dude long time no hear no see . what up? how you been doing.? please vid
your current system!.I enjoy your vids
can you only use the rest of your woofers and tweeters from the old system. In a video please
Why you use 8 ohm not 4 ohm? I want to replace the woofer, but I confuse choosing the woofer. My old speaker is 6 ohm. I need suggest please...
Nice
You use audio equipment in your bathroom?
I wish i had 1 in my bathroom
what the best sub speaker to replace the logitech z623 subwoofer speakers
Link to buy new sub?
Something is wrong with the original sub if it's not moving
Can you make a video on mixing ohms like you did bc I don’t understand it and can’t find anything on google anywhere
They could of put a way bigger sub in that box based on how much space there is and how big the grill is
Did you look at the back of the volume module. There is a wheel for bass
no there isn't a wheel
Try using the kicker amp in it maybe
Whats better, these logitech speakers or the genius sw g2000
Hy i have a boat soundbar model 2050.
The subwoofer has 6 inch 80w subwoofer can i upgrade the subwoofer to 6 inch 100w or above ?
How much max voltage subwoofer I can upgrade without burning the cicuit?
The reason why that subwoofer isn’t moving a lot it’s amplifiers fault
Yep, the bass may sound cleaner with a proper driver, but he went from 4 to 8 Ohms which means the speaker won't be used to its full potential. It's rarely the case of bad driver, more the case of a bad amplifier.
Well the dayton can also be 4 Ohm they are sold as 4/8 Ohm Version
a speaker which moves a lot is quite inefficient
0:50 thats strange because mine is moving nearly to xmax. But I also have the newer z533 with an other driver
Yeh Lol My sub moves soo much I can see it flexing
1:24 That's the *power supply.* Close, but no cigar. Try harder next time lol
1:57 and yes! *Magnet size plays a huge role in speaker performance.* You can confirm that for yourself just by comparing the thiele-small parameters between speakers with differently-sized magnets. A physically larger magnet *for a given magnetic material* generally results in a stronger field at the gap and a more efficient speaker, with a more controlled cone movement. This can be verified by lower quality factors (Qes, Qms and Qts).
2:06 neodyMium magnet, with an "m", not "neodynium".
The Logitech speakers I have are so good that I turned down the sub to 50 percent.
Xander Guldie you mean satelites are shitty?
Cekpi7 no they are also great, But the sub overpowers them a bit. I depends on what your listening too and keeping good relations with my neighbours lol. The set also got some awards. It's one of the few really good Logitech speakers.
Xander Guldie It's fine for casual listening, but as every full range driver it suffers on higher freq
Cekpi7 brah I think my home audio system is better than yours. It's a computer audio system you can't expect it to be for audiophiles but it's descend.
Xander Guldie Neither of us mentioned their system so how can you know? As i said, i don't like logitech and i will never buy them again, they are mostly ok but not for me.
Currenty i need 5.1 or 2.1ch system for my TV and i'm gonna make it myself, logitech just isn't much better than stock speakers.
I didn’t know you listened to Juice WRLD
Mate, would this subwoofer part work with a Logitech z506? i want to replace the subwoofer. Original subwoofer spec: 27 Watts RMS.
A more smlple solution?
Yeah I'll just put another woofer in the box. 😜
Why don't you just buy a JBL Xtreme/Xtreme 2 or something portable and you can always put that to your bathroom tbh and it sounds clear with such good bass.
Ikr
Can you upgrade the transformer on one of these?
That is a *HAZARD*
I did the same thing with my z333. Now it's an air conditioner.
The neodynium has a bad thing its overheating and losings its power
András Fekete you are right. But normally you shouldn't let it get that hot. Warm to the touch is harmless to a neo magnet
Every magnet looses their power when heats up
Yeah but how you when its hot? u wont touch or screwing out from a box or a cabinet just for test the temp.
András Fekete Sensors for that exist, i made one with customizable temp limit, you can see it on my channel
András Fekete in order for it to get that hot your coils will be liquid
Where I can buy z623 sup speaker
Nice video
Can you give link of where you bought the circle thing that you where twisting and adjusting the volume? I like it
it comes WITH the speaker so you need to buy the z533 or z537 that is bluetooth z533 is not bluetooth
It only works with the speaker
Is the bass on the knob all the way up
Can I do that to a Logitech X530 system my subwoofer cone is ripping
It's funny how good 8ohm speakers with a strong magnet can outperform average 4ohm speakers. Funny how the z5500 has an 8ohm sub being the 10" model.
UniCrafter the impedance doesn't say anything about the quality
Didn't directly infer that, I meant a more efficient speaker can make up for it being a higher impedance.
Danke
dude what is the title of the song
In your bathroom
I know right it should be used for gaming or listening to music in your bedroom.
those cover holes were leaking?
What song
f1eo yah what’s the song?
ayyyyyyyyyy lucid dream's!!
I have the Z623 the reason why it’s bad probably because of the Amplifier
i have a 10 inch sub under the desk of my pc setup and im getting soooooo much port noise, anything i can do to stop/quieten it a little?
woofer like flip 4 GG
Nice vid
Nice!!!
Are these holding up or did they blow? Curious to know if its worth the upgrade 2 days after buying my z533. Please respond!
i've had this same system for like 4 years
Cool
