Zak Tucker the steering lock was already broken by moron thieves in my car, so this procedure in this video was done so i could replace the ignition barrel with a new one. The replacement ignition barrel i bought came with a steering lock so the car has a new steering lock now.

thanks mate, sucks your mx5 got stolen aswell, i ended up buying a 2nd set of locks from a wrecker, so now i have to figure out keys and wafers
it's an M8 size bolt if I remember correctly. approx M8 16.
I actually ended up reusing those original bolts.
By any chance do you know what size bolt for the ignition switch are? The one that you used a dremel tool on?
