Those two lower little hoses...are those only there on a Miata equipped with an Automatic transmission?

Yeah...I panicked when I saw that and realized the aluminum radiator I'd just bought didn't have them (I've got a 5spd, so it's OK).

No need to take the whole intake out.
only reason to actually take it out is to replace the hoses, for the radiator it didnt seem necessary unless you just want more space to work in
