Luckily Germany demanding the Sudetenland pulled some troops off the front line allowing me to push them back into Yugoslavia. Italy gets too much criticism tbh. As a scholar of that period (PhD) I think hoi4 tubers who make fun of them tends to lack a geopolitical understanding of that area at that time
yeah it's anoying like Italy did things in the wrong way and tried to face up against organized people, every thing they wanted to conquer, had mountains or was a desert so it's extreamly costly to conquer that, having a weak economy, managing to defend the enormous coastline of their country, it's clear that they weren't ready to fight against the world.
It's a really overdone joke, just like the French surrender. But it's a tall order to expect people who spend their time learning of the past to come up with new jokes.
23:52 don't take anything from Czechs, just take everything else and leave them alone, hit done. Now they will automatically become the leader of the Allies, and not Canada, because the game considers them to be stronger than Canada. Then you can keep doing major/minor shenanigans in the peace deals without having to cap Canada somehow
In Italy's defense, they knew they couldn't go to war until '43, but Germany was insistent on starting the war several years before its ally was ready and still demanding well over a million Italian guns. If the Axis wasn't getting 25% of all its guns from Italy and instead gave Italy the needed resources to build up, they could have been less laughable
@@sablin819 It likely wouldn't have majorly changed the course of the war. Poland might have put up a stiffer response and France would be bulldozed even faster, the USSR wouldhave completed the 5 year plan, likely at tremendous cost, and would likely lose just as many during the beginning stages of Barb. Italy would have a better trained and equipped army, but its generals would likely be just as ineffectual.
You could have left Czechoslovakia entirely alone so it would be the leader of the allies instead of Canada. That way you don't need to walk all the way to Vancouver.
