I find it funny how the HRE/Victoria is meant to be an easter egg but you'll still find people who want Germany to buffed more to make it easier, like bruh they already suffer from main character syndrome in this game. They don't need more.

Tip for the civil war. If you disband the axis before hand than you can create a faction with Austria the moment you click on the decision that starts the civil war. Doing so will give you Austria for free as the referendum will trigger shortly after you won the civil war. It will also make the civil war easier as it will cause the AI to send troops to the border with Austria.

I find it annoying that it's not possible to get rid of "Redirecting Naval Production" national spirit debuff that you get from doing "Accept British Naval Dominance" focus. Not even after capitulating the UK. And it never expires.

I like how despite being in a massive alliance, Romania was bullied into ceding Bessarabia to the Soviets AND then Transylvania to Hungary. ol' Carol clearly didn't have a lot of confidence in the Germans.
If you put historical on, no matter how strong is the faction, Romania will alwasy cede land

Gotta tell you man, found this game on Xbox Gamepass for PC[I've played CK on console but had no clue this existed until this year] struggled endlessly to succeed at this game in any capacity & randomly came across you posted some strats on Reddit, decided to look you up on YT afterwards. Man, without a doubt one of the best subs I've made on YT in a long time. Super helpful, clearly knowledgeable about even the smallest details of the game/history, and probably the most subtly implemented sponsors lol. The way you just quickly incorporate whatever sponsor for the video into what you're casually talking about it is great. Anyways, thanks for literally single handedly teaching me how to play this game & keep up the great work. Idk if tons of subs is the goal, but if you so, imagine you'll have that in no time all. Is one of them world Domination? Playing HoI4 so often surely has given you lots of preparation for the real thing.
Taureor is funny because he has this graceful professorly kind of voice, and will occasionally casually and abruptly curse or make some sort of aggressive or perverted remark. I also like the way he says, "Sure!" more than anyone else.
Alex has the best teeth of any UA-camr I've ever seen. His incompetence is entertaining.

I've had Romania do the exact same thing. They were in a faction with me, Poland gave up its eastern half to the USSR so I now had a direct border with the USSR. The Baltics didn't join my faction so I only had Romania and Finland in my faction. (Romania joined after the war kicked off and wouldn't join the war because of dangerous borders) I blow through the USSR from my border and am almost at Crimea. I call Romania in the war after I secure its border and just days later they cede Besserabia while we were at war with the USSR and winning so hard it wasn't even funny... I was maybe a month away from capitulating the USSR because I also had max collaboration set up. And Finland white peaced even though I was almost at Moscow. Oh and of course Romania gave up N. Transylvania (even though the popup said they refused) while they were in a faction with me and Hungary wasn't. All three events where Romania loses a chunk of territory is based on German support of those demands. Why the hell do they still accept them when Germany is in a faction with them? The only one I could influence was the Bulgarian one but all three should be based on German decisions. Besserabia on Molotov-Ribentrop, N.Transylvania on German support and Bulgaria is fine as is.

Hey bittersteel, I have a suggestion, do a us world conquest by 1939(1936 start), to help you, 71cloak made a video on how to get rid of the great depression and get war eco by mid-late 1936,with a war declaration on Japan, and what's basically but not actually a war goal on Italy
Wow, I was just returning to a HRE game just hours before this popped um in my recommendation.
In my game I justified for the British Raj first and then went straight to civil war. After mopping up the Nazis there was enough time to rebuild and then take on Britain, puppeting them, so I did not have to think about Alliies guaranties and the Opinion limit for the Title Restoration Decision anymore. (Not justifying on UK directly seems to be the best change that their Navy is in the port on hour 0 of the war, allowing you a brief window to send your naval invasions forth)

If you establish vichy france (or in this case, bourbon france) and then create a collaboration government in france, you will get around 75% of the french factories instead of 20%

i would recommend total mob and service by requirement, much better and all you have to do is forsake the industry designer to afford the extra 150 pp.

When I do the German civil-war I like to cheese the AI by deleting all unit templates except for a single AA unit template. The ai will only use this template in the civil war so after deleting the army all new units instantly break making the ai break on the front lines.
They should make it like the Byzantine Empire where you can core different parts of the empire (maybe further expansion, HRE had a claim to southern Italy)
Hey Bittersteel! Ive watched a lot of your videos and I notice that you like to use tanks quite often, ive always mainly used infantry with artillery support instead but your motorized and tank divisions look like they absolutely obliterate everything, what kind of template/tank designs do you use?

bittersteel you should totally do the slavic empire as poland. its not an achievement, but if you decline all of the crown candidates 2 - 3 times then you get a 5th candidate called The Last Romanov, and i wont spoil anything else ;)

@ 14:13 start way earlier with improving relations with the UK! My run was killed due to that and the alliance was denied, so start improving relations before 1938!!!
Tips with the new actualization: You need, for sure, a 50 of pp for the envoy, if u have little bit less, it won't trigger. Also, if u have Negative PP, United Kingdom will say no to the restoration of the titles. I have done this run like 25-26 times in a row. So, I know... hahaha.
15:03 what does actually happen if they all die, I've never seen it selected? I mean beyond being locked out of the path for HRE, I presume you get a new leader? Probably one of the least common leaders if so.

i think the historical AI is guaranteed to let germany into the faction. Plus germany is also unaligned so it has no reason to reject
@@bobdickens3674 They rejected me... twice. I think it might have something to do with Manpower in the field, both runs I had low manpower, recruiting regular infantry.
On a third run, I just pumped cavalry and then converted to infantry- worked like a charm
@@Spart344 i think it might have to do with relationship beforehand. Also factions. I made a faction to annex austria during the focus and i'm not sure if that make them les likely. Also low relationship, especially with poland annexed can also lead to them rejecting. Just remember to improve relationship before and after the focus

It almost certainly doesn't matter in the long run, but you could start the initial war with Poland 5 days sooner if you justify at 50PP and just wait to get 10 more PP before taking the next focus. You're burning the same amount of focus time either way but the time between 50PP and 60PP is basically wasted.

In By Blood Alone, the swiss are a the biggest thorn in your side ever now. They now have a national spirit that increases justification time by four years. Even when you are at war with another major power. Its the most annoying thing of this challenge.

I once lost a run, I had all of europe even the British, but italy bugged and regno del sud, even if the real regno del sud was “German Italy’. Their territory (northern Italy) showed as colony state, and I couldn’t justify war goal because the country “didn’t exist”. I was so mad that the most stupid bug ruined my run.
