Very true, I have the bron 21s which are a tank of an upper, but if foot goes titanic 180, no shoe can prevent that. It’s one of the only downsides of the sport. Rolled mine badly 4 days ago ☠️
ABOVE THE RIM REVIEW #66: LI-NING GAMMA BOUNCE: 4.7/5 TRACTION: 4.8/5 CUSHION: 4/5 WEIGHT: 5/5 COURT FEEL: 4.2/5 OVERALL: 9.2/10 I was SO close to calling these the perfect shoe for dunking. Then a Grade 2 ankle sprain reminded me, yeah, they’re not perfect. These are built like a Marathon runner mixed with a Kobe-style minimalist build. While in most cases the upper is plenty supportive, if you find yourself in a freak injury situation landing on someone else’s foot, they won’t do anything to contain the footbed, which could cause a ton of damage. I personally might find myself only using these for dunking, and not for playing basketball, as I’m now in a situation where I need to maximize my support when I return to activity once my ankle is healed up enough for mild jogging, let alone full-contact basketball. Sizing: Short and narrow, but breaks in to your foot - go the same size as your WOW10 size. AKA, wide footers / long footers half size up. Where to buy: wowsole.com is where I sourced my pair. (This is the fourth time I’ve purchased from wowsole and have had no issues.) They’re cheapest once the colorway has dropped, but rapidly increases in price. I would not recommend getting these for more than $300. #LiNing #LiNingGamma #abovetherimreviews
No shoes can prevent an injury when you step on someone’s foot
