while it would be expensive I kinda wanna see each with their own speaker with the respective sound coming out from it. but that would take some serius amounts of work.
I can't get enough of your vids my man so insight full and very informative technique wise and everything always look so beautiful and I like knowing the colors your using but seeing the wet pallet helps to understand the consistency of the paint your using to do the highlights and layering
Awesome paint job on the noise marine! I really liked seeing the wet palette setup. It's nice to see the mixing of colors and how thin the paint is for different techniques.
This project was incredible! Love the fact that it’s something that combines two things that you love, models and metal!! I’d love to see you do a similar thing with one of the original noise marines on another speaker with your own style of paint job. Going stereo then!!
If space marines were as campy as this guy I would make a whole army of them! Sadly they are too serious for me so I will stick to warhammer underworlds and AOS
It’s hard to paint super serious models that all look very similar. That’s definitely why I prefer AOS. The noise marines are a nice change of pace for sure, I just wish there were more of them!
This project turned out absolutely amazing. I think the style of showing the finished product and then going to the wet pallet could work for videos that are more focussed on what the end result is. Personally I enjoy watching the process and seeing how you went about something so I prefer the current style.
Thank you, and thanks for the feedback! It does seem to make sense to show the palette if it’s something very specific. I’m gonna keep experimenting with it and see where it fits best :)
Love the video, watching you makes me want to start using my davinci brushes I bought because of the tips , love if you could do a video on some of the brushes and other bits you use.
Thank you! I appreciate that very much :) I do tend to jump around artistically lol. Music and painting have always been part of my life, they finally collided in this video!
That would be an awesome project, the wagon has a large enough footprint that you could probably fit a couple of speakers on there...might have to give that a go someday :)
I love this kind of stuff and wish GW, at this time in technology would make the sisters of battle fire effects LED flicker with clear plastic that you could glaze to your liking.
It would be nice to see more clear plastic in newer kits. Putting LEDs into the model would make more sense with little bits that were clear. The new sisters of battle exorcist model looks to have clear plastic for the stained glass, it looks like they glazed over the panels and got that awesome glass look!
Definitely not a dumb question. I drilled a small hole in each part and for the most part they stick in no problem, if they move around too much then just a small small touch of super glue will hold them in one place and still be easily removed.
Every time I watch one of your videos, I cringe when you use the Vallejo primer, lol. You REALLY need to experience the magic that is Badger Stynylrez. It's truly a world of difference. And now, maybe this is your opportunity(and Ben's, too, perhaps). I won't use any other airbrush/brush-on primer now, there's just no comparison.
I will be buying some of the Badger primer for sure. I can’t say I’ve ever had a negative experience with vallejo, but after this it seems like there’s no reason to take the risk! I know Ben is questioning it for sure, and literally everyone talking about primer in the comments has recommended Stynlrez...definitely a sign.
I really like the way you've been doing it but the addition of showing how you blend on the wet pallet as its someth8ng im just now getting into using helps so much.
Great model! Great work! Fun video! I prefer EBM classic mode but maybe that's just because I'm used to that flow. The detailed tutorial was useful for sure though so I will still enjoy videos like that as well. As to the thing about Vallejo primer white: Whaaat? I've used Army Painter paints over Vallejo white primer sprayed through my airbrush plenty of times. It's fine. Army Painter is just super finicky and you can't thin most of the colors with water or they turn into something beyond washes that will just fall off of anything. Maybe that's what was experienced here? Because... I was just painting a model with army painter over vallejo white primer... and it certainly didn't repel it. Maybe the humidity matters?
Haha we try and be as noisy as we can be, I put links in the description if you’re interested in the band. That particular clip isn’t on UA-cam, but we do have some random other things :) ua-cam.com/video/zEIYIsE6YW0/v-deo.html
I have a small Bluetooth speaker that's doing nothing.. and now I want to get a Noise Marine for my own take on this. I'd love to see official Noise Marines in a warBAND.
In all my years of using vallejo products I have never heard of that happening with the paints. Wierd something tells me that because it wasn't GW paint and a warhammer store employee was involved I'd question it lol. In all honesty, and this is just a guessn the problem was probably with the Army Painter paint and not the Vallejo. Just a theory really, but I've NEVER had that happen with any other paint over the primer. Really wierd. Oh, and the flames are convincing enough for just getting stuck in with NMM. I think you will be amazing with the NMM as you keep doing it!
I’ve never had a problem with the primer either, it’s gotta be the paints, maybe it’s just more noticeable over the white anyway. I’m glad the flames look at least convincing enough :) thanks for the feedback and kind words! I’m gonna keep going with NMM for sure, it’s a fun enough process and can look pretty nice :)
As a general rule you’re probably going to be in the 25psi area. If the paint is a little thicker then you’ll want to go up to something like 30, and if it’s thinner then you want something between 15-20. It depends on the color and thinner medium you have in your airbrush, but using that as a basic guideline will probably work for you in general. Each color and company works a little differently, so just try things out and test on a scrap piece of paper before going for the model. Hope that helps, good luck!
Is it though? I’ve heard it both ways. I brought this up in a video about a month ago. There was no real consensus on how to properly say it. There are character names and places pronounced like how you are saying, but GW employees say it the other way. Idono...
@@eBayMiniatureRescues So, it is a Proper name based on very old lore/demonology with roots to Jewish Mysticism. Somewhere along the way the original pronunciation of A(short a)-ba-don was bastardized to a-BAAD-don. Either are technically correct due to the age of split in convention, though many other Hebrew based words with double consonants have not been treated this way. Typically double consonants in Hebrew were used only because of translating the symbols too literally. If you look at names of similar origin and time frame, a-BA-don is more correct (they called him Sala-din, not Salad-din, though the characters used in that word should have doubled the d as well). Either way even if you use the modernized bastardization of ancient Hebrew, that would be a-BAD-don, not a-bad-DIN.
Also, trusting the English to pronounce words with foreign origins isn't exactly a good idea. Funny that they now say a-BAD-don...long ago they used to say it the way Hebrews would say it: a-BA-don. Kind of like you say SAL-ee not SAL-LEE for Sally.
or, as I am not a linguist...I could be completely wrong...and if so I apologize...but I will always say a-BA-don because it sounds a lot more ominous and less like I am stuttering the phrase a bad one.
mike h that’s awesome man, welcome back! I had a similar break in the hobby, started about 20 years ago, painted for about a year and then quit, I just picked it back up a couple of years ago, haven’t looked back :)
I’m going to get my self the paints for Xmas, when I’m done I will upload a picture for you to see. Or maybe record the whole start of my painting journey warts and all.
mike h definitely! I’m always a big proponent of recording it if you have the time and equipment. In the least, Instagram is a great way to share and interact with other painters :)
I’ve used Vallejo primer for the last year, never had a problem either. I suppose it makes sense that army painter paints would be more the issue, they aren’t always the greatest.
Army painter paints are repelled by everything. They use an awful medium, which is the reason so many people have problems with the paints being too 'watery' or 'thin'. The pigment and the medium has an awful habit of separating from each other, which is why they've now taken to selling agitators to help alleviate the trouble. A little ironic that the products of theirs people actually like are their washes, which are supposed to be thin and 'watery'. tl;dr: Army Painter is cheap for a reason.
I own a few bottles of army painter paints and haven’t had any issues with them, maybe I just got lucky though, they are darker colors, which usually have less of an issue anyways. It’s funny, Brent over at Goobertown hobbies just finished a video where he had some major issues with his army painter paints. Guess it’s just that time of year lol. I prefer Vallejo and citadel colors. I’ve never had any issues with those :)
I really want a army of rockstars than plane pink marines with sound guns i want a army of rock bands or a kill team just with 2 bands Edit:after a bit of thinking i really now want a rino converted into a stage with a bunch of speakers and a huge drum set And a thunder halk with a noise marine playing a electric guitar as the fuel source and bane blade that turn into a stage can still fire rounds by the command of the vocalist then the engine/driver is the drummer and the gituar guy control secondary weapons
Epic! This was a great project :) I hope the speaker lasts a long time!
This was super fun man, the base is amazing, and it’s been great to listen to music and podcasts while painting!
Anyone else think we need a whole noise marine band with a second guitar, a bass, drums and vocalist?
I’d gladly paint them all and put them on this base :)
while it would be expensive I kinda wanna see each with their own speaker with the respective sound coming out from it. but that would take some serius amounts of work.
Hah it would get expensive, but I’d be down to display a whole bunch of space marine chapters this way, it would be an awesome display!
Gg allin and the chaos cultists 🤟
Nice work! I liked seeing the pallet as you worked, as a new painter, I found it insightful.
Thank you, and thanks for the feedback!
Excellent video as usual! Love how you described what and why you're doing certain techniques. Helps for sure
Awesome, thank you!
Best base I have ever seen
Totally awesome!!!
Thanks Marco, that means a lot :)
Great stuff as always. Seeing the wet palette was cool.
Right the hecksh on. This takes me back. Love the metal rocker badassness that made me love these guys back in 1997!!!!
That's so dope I just finished mine this morning. Took awhile but such a unique model.
I love this model, it was pretty difficult with all the different pieces, but definitely worth the time!
This project was incredible! Love the fact that it’s something that combines two things that you love, models and metal!! I’d love to see you do a similar thing with one of the original noise marines on another speaker with your own style of paint job. Going stereo then!!
I would love to add a new member to this Noise Marine band, some of the old ones would be perfect additions!
eBay Miniature Rescues add it to the list big man! 👍
Bikernick46 pretty much lol. The list is getting long these days!
The wet pallet set up is really cool, seeing the amount of water and the mixing process really helps 😊
rad mini my dude!!! 😍
Thanks man! I’m glad to hear that showing the wet pallet is helping :)
I agree seeing the wet pallet really helps to understand the consistency of the paint
If space marines were as campy as this guy I would make a whole army of them! Sadly they are too serious for me so I will stick to warhammer underworlds and AOS

I recommend badger stynelrez primer. It's good stuff! I use it straight through my airbrush all the time.
I’ll have to try it out, thanks!
Yeah that's good stuff!

Loving the sound of Authmentis, mate. You're quite the renaissance man.
Thank you! I appreciate that very much :) I do tend to jump around artistically lol. Music and painting have always been part of my life, they finally collided in this video!
I just love this whole thing this is a very beautiful project and I loved every moment of it.
You're such a master of airbrush, show satisfying to watch
Thanks, I appreciate that very much :)
That's pure heavy metal mate. Love It!!
I've made a daemon prince of slaanesh with a guitar axe and working speaker last year, it's so great with a bunch of noise marine all around
That’s awesome! With a bigger base I imagine you could get a bigger speaker as well :) the noisier the better!
Thanks for the tip re Vallejo primer, good to know :)
Hey man love your videos this miniature looks fricken sweet keep it up!!!
Your band rocks,. Im surprised you don't promote them just a bit more. Seriously, so happy to be listening to this.
Any suggestions for khorn red alternatives
Pro Acryl has a nice dark red called Burnt Red, I use that a lot for Khorne red these days, really nice coverage and color.
I really dig the idea of a working speaker base! I'd love to see someone recreate the Doof Wagon with working speakers for the noise marines
That would be an awesome project, the wagon has a large enough footprint that you could probably fit a couple of speakers on there...might have to give that a go someday :)
@@eBayMiniatureRescues Please Do!
Totally thought Noise Marines would've gone for those new 8 string guitars 🤘😈🤘
That would have been a nice touch on GWs part! That would also make a nice subtle conversion.
@@eBayMiniatureRescues all bow down to our djenty slaneesh bois!
I have been playing a lot of Periphery through this lately lol.

The paint guide for tricky colours was extremely informative, I think if you're making a colour mix you should consider doing that again.

This is too cool.
Incredible work my dude.
This might be a dumb for asking, but how do you have the model part attached to the wire? Glue? Hot Glue? Tack?
Definitely not a dumb question. I drilled a small hole in each part and for the most part they stick in no problem, if they move around too much then just a small small touch of super glue will hold them in one place and still be easily removed.

Looks like giraffe print and white tiger stripes, instead of leopard and zebra. Looks good all the same.
In the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium people still listen to Steel Panther
I switched from Vallejo to stynelrez primer and don’t regret it. I’ve found it to be less fragile then vallejo
