I remember adventuring through blackreach, seeing all the beautiful colors and unique design and just thinking... I H A T E T H E F U C K I N G F A L M E R
@@il-dottore tbf the reward isnt as bad as he makes it out to be - with that ability it literally becomes 25% easier to beat the game on legendary because of the endless loop of 'forge gear that makes alchemy better' use alchemy to create potions which make enchanting and crafting better, enchant the armor to be better at alchemy and crafting - create best boi armor which boosts one stst higher than the games limit, become a god, do the smae for weapons and 2hko everything
I actually don't mind the quest. But every time I find a crimson nirnroot, I have to put it in a chest, otherwise I end up eating all of them and then realising.
Eventually I did use console commands to get those damn things back. Every playthrough I've done blackreach always finds a way to screw me over because I'm an idiot and forget to save. My bloody follower gets lost or some random falmer decides to skull fuck me with an arrow outta nowhere and now I'm just over blackreach.
we all regret touching it, but sadly my latest play through i COULDN'T ignore it because i was roleplaying someone who is distracted easily by shiny things
@@caseygray2328 At least you'll get a daedric artifact out of the deal... I didn't think that actual walkthrough was terrible, but I'm not big on dungeon crawls and there were so many vampires in that cave. I lost my original file when my hard drive died. Guess I'll be right there with the rest of you when I go for my second round of the oblivion walker achievement.
@@cumcannon8870 this way you can't do more of it because of your condition and you wouldn't want to do it or you will start to go insane I did the mission before
I remember going through Blackreach and retrieving the Elder Scroll, then forgetting to pick up the Lexicon for Septimus, so having to go back through it again just to pick up the Lexicon
Let’s set the scene: 2:00 AM, parents asleep, my 11 year old self playing Skyrim happily. Sleep-deprived, but happy. I clear out a dragon burial ground easily, destroying the Dov with my impeccable aim (awful) and my powerful sword (also awful). I learn a word of power, I can’t exactly remember what it was, but after that I remember one thing. There’s a chest semi-buried in the dirt. I open it and see 7 pieces of gold, an iron warhammer of sparks (taken) and one other object... It was weird, shaped like a golf ball and called “(Meridia?)’s beacon. I said to myself “huh that’s weird.” I pick it up and BOOM *A NEW HAND TOUCHES THE BEACON* I fell out of my chair, and woke my parents up, got my computer taken away for a week.
I think it's funny how your character is literally the "Dragonborn", the leader of every single faction- you've assassinated the Emperor, become the Harbinger of the companions, defeated ALDUIN, own a house in every hold (because you've solved the problems in each one) and yet you're seen as a delivery boy who takes things to people because it's not worth their time.... right. Or when a guard asks yo if you fetch the mead for the companions, like...."Do I LOOK LIKE I FETCH THE FUCKING MEAD!!?!?!??" Haha, I love this game! 😂😂😂
Ember Knight You kind of do look like you like to fetch the mead lol Like you did all that shit like save the world but you wouldn't just fetch the mead which is so simple lmao
It's like that one interviewer who said LeBron James is seen as an underdog or some shit. LeBron James be like, "Ha... Me?? Underdog??" "I don't think so." "Me neither."
there like the flood in Halo geez its safe to say they were hated enough not to show up in any other Halo after 3 not counting wars because there less up close.
I don't think I ever will complete that quest, you can't even start it without joining the thieves guild, and every interaction I have with them makes my skin crawl. What's even more annoying is that you can't drop them until you beat the quest, which you can't even fail because both appraisers are essential
Thomas Devlin Since the Force can’t tell me where things are in a video game, I had to resort to an online guide. The problem was, I had no idea what places I had already been to. So I ended up going through EVERY POSSIBLE LOCATION where a stone could be found. And since the Xbox 360 goes into hibernation at every loading screen, it took me roughly five hours to finish it. Talk about a pain in the neck.
I've done upwards of 5 play throughs, maybe more, and I have yet to complete the return to your roots side quest. Its the most annoying quest ever. The way that I complete Blackreach is through the quest Lost to the Ages, where you have to find the 4 pieces of Aethirium. In one of the Dwemer ruins you have to go through, there is a secret entrance into Blackreach at the end of the ruin that puts you pretty close to the Elder Scroll. I mean its literally a 5 minute dash... Beats the 3 hours I spent wandering Blackreach during my 1st play through. Plus the Aethrium Crown is crucial and always one of the 1st items i get to help boost xp.
Just dual cast destruction spells on him He'll keep getting staggered and also remember to summon atleast one daemon so you'll temporarily have 2 followers That's how I killed him in legendary
the fun part is when one of the pages clips inside a barel and you have to deactive collisions via the console be able to go throught the barel and see the page and take it.
Your right because it’s annoying and I hate waking around the soul cairn. For the stone of barenziah at least you don’t get lost and start throwing controller into the tv
Me to I have aranicnaphobia so the big add spider nearly gave a heart attack the very first time I played the game. I still hate that queatexcept it give your first shout and a quest item.
Same. It’s annoying lol. Overall I don’t really like the cave quests. I like the thieves guild, dark brotherhood, and slice of life styles quests. I’d be ok never facing another draugr ever again.
Holy shit, I've actually never completed the quest of the stones of Barenziah but I always assumed the reward must've been amazing. Gosh, this is so disappointing. I know that collecting quests always have terrible rewards but I mean, this was the collector quest of all collector quests!
Have you pleyed ZELDA breath of the wild? There's the 900 korok seeds to find...FUCKING 900. And in return, you got a golden poop...A FUKING GOLDEN POOP. That have absolutely no use at all
It’s actually amazing Imo. You’ll have so many gems you won’t know what to do with them. You’ll find flawless gems in every chest, usually a few of them.
It's not *completely* useless, but you do need to have good Speech perks in order to make it effective. Speech is sometimes overlooked: investing in shops, for instance, counts for the "Assist the people" task, in addition to giving you more places to unload your loot.
This reward will literally make you rich so its worth it. I made literally a million gold (i did have a mod that increased venders total money though lol) from selling all these gems throughout my play through. Its very useful
some townsperson i dont give two shits about: "hey can you get me 10 *insert rare and hard to get item here*" after 56742 hours, finally get it townsperson: "gee thanks, heres 2 gold and a piece of lint for your troubles"
What's the best part of specializing in alchemy I've always wanted to cause illusion seems shifty but is Super over powered but reading the stats of alchemy I didn't see the point in it end game but like illusion I feel like if you work on it its amazing and way over powered haha
*slowly takes bottles out from under and puts them gently into my bag* uhh yeah nothing happening here.. *slowly approaches door until close then dashes out going behind the house and using them as quickly as possible* :3
I used to hate them too lol but after my most recent play through (having been through them once or twice before and being lost the whole time) I found that I was able to go through them fine and it kind of changed my opinion on em.
Bthardamz has 6 areas, and two of those are single rooms. None of the others have more than 4, but I take the point. They do go on for a long time, particularly if you're also going through Blackreach. For me it depends on what how I'm feeling at the time. Sometimes I like a good dungeon crawl. Sometimes they do just feel overly long. They're a lot better than the dungeons in Oblivion though. In Skyrim they're often fairly linear but at least you can tell which way to go. In Oblivion the dungeon layouts are more complicated but every hallway looks pretty much the same.
I can agree with dragon. Auriels bow questline was by far my favorite in the entire game. Especially the whole scene of the two dragons coming out of the ice and fighting them. The castle itself was gorgeous too. The forgotten veil was still reminiscent of skyrim, unlike some of the other places like the soul cairn and the summit of apocrypha (which i still loved)
Aaron Berkofsky I think everything the first time around is great... The second time, eh, you've been here before, third playthrough you wonder why the fuck you're doing this quest again that requires you to walk about 10 fucking miles, past that you wanna commit syicide every time it pops up because its so. Fucking. Long
I searched for that sword once I wikied what in hell the beacon was, that was my first playthrough and i was playin in master, the wizards in the end of dungeon one hitted me all the night till i got angry and changed to easiest difficult u.u
Meridia's quest does net a nice amount of coin from those dead soldiers strewn about the place, as well as a decent sword; however, I actively avoid the quest due to how buggy it can be(falling to your death from the sky) and her attitude.
@@sirspongadoodle melee does have uses, my fight style is to shoot the enemy, if it doesn't die then see how much it got hurt, if its hurt enough then clonk its skull inside out with a poisoned warhammer, if it isn't hurt enough then continue ranged assault either until dead or until weak enough for reattempt of warhammer.
I've played skyrim hundreds of times...have started so many new games...and have completed so many quests.... ...and how many times have I completed the no stone unturned quest?.... .....once :P
Least favorite quest, the dark brotherhood contracts. I finish one and before I can clear out my quest log, Night Mother Prestons like "Listener, another Black Sacraments been performed, here I'll mark it on your map"
This makes no sense, why as the leader of the fucking brotherhood i can't assign the assassinations to any of the initiates, Nazir and so on?! Get your shit together, Night Mother, I'm the dragonborn and I'm fucking busy collecting crimson nirnroots
I honestly don’t mind the forgotten vale because the sights are some of the most aesthetically pleasing, there are Some uniques bosses like those 2 dragons and the ice giants, and I was amazed when I first saw the snow elves. However I’m not a fan of: Black reach Dwemer ruins, Falmer caves, Bleak falls barrow (cuz I have so many playthroughs and builds)
The Vale also has some unique, gorgeous music. I can second the Falmer caves, but I actually love Dwemer ruins because, more often than not, you have to actually pay attention so you don't step on that pressure plate that makes blades spin or makes things EXPLODE GODAMNIT WHAT THE HELL. I can also totally get behind the dislike of Bleak Falls, though--screw that tomb. It's one of the LEAST lucrative tombs in the entire game, and lies about what you can expect throughout. "Why's everything empty? Burial urns suck!" Then after going through multiple Nordic tombs--with the exception of the Forsaken Cave, which has a LOT of empty urns--your tune changes to, "Oh, okay, so it's Bleak Falls that's looted and cheap."
it would be good if all the sections of finding auriels bow was separated into different quests, once you started you couldn’t go back and it mentally exhausted me
I know this is a fan favorite but man I hate the levels where you go to the realm where miraak is hiding out, creepy ass creatures in an even creepier realm. Not to mention if you take a break from doing that quest good ol miraak decides he wants to take your Dragon souls when he feels like it. Seriously it annoys me so much
I beat the troll under lv 10..Wanna know how?... Become a werewolf.... The companions quest to become a werewolf are soo easy just look at a guide if you're having a bit of trouble
They tried to compensate the rage quit on blackreach by making it pretty, it worked for the first 10 minutes but OH MY GOD I HATE IT SO MUCH, i can't even watch Avatar now because it reminds me of Blackreach and i get instantly pissed
Am i the only one who likes blackreach? ever since i started a character in blackreach using - Live another life- i had a new appreciation for it, even grabbed all 30 crimson nirnroots at level 1-2, a few times.
I like this because I imagine Sheogorath wandering through Tamriel searching for unusual gems getting progressively angrier as time passes without him finding all 24
This is the reason I cheat and rapid fire the TAKE button each time I find a gem. I was able to pick up 24 in 6 or 7 locations. Now I find gems EVERYWHERE.
Composure Speed and Precision has to be one of my favorite quests. It being an unmarked quest made it more immersive for me first coming across it, since it wasn't a listed quest telling me what to do (even though it was obvious). And because Angi actually gives legitimately helpful advice for archery in the game. "Trust that your shot is true. Don't wait for your arrow to hit before moving on to the next target". I've held true to this advice across many games that have archery; and it's made me feel like an epic archer since.
@@ryanalving3785 - The problem being, that by the time you've collected them all, you're pretty much done with the game and you've got more money than you know what to do with so having metric f*ck-tons of gems is kinda pointless.
Worst part with that quest is not all the useless gems you get but the fact that the stones weigh 0.5 each and you can not remove them from inventory AND that they DO NOT STACK. FFS having a billion of them in the inventory is so annoying.
it's annoying cuz I had like 14 of the stones and then I would just drop them cuz I don't know what they're for and then the quest starts and I only have like two left.
Guard: "Heard they're reforming the Dawnguard, vampire hunters or something. Might consider joining up myself." Me: *Tries to run away from his voice* Find out more about the Dawnguard I JUST WANTED TO EXPLORE SKYRIM!
You run away from their voices and meet random little girl. Girl: I've lost my parents and now I want you to be my daddy. We need to show you new adoption mechanics, you know. Me: I JUST WANTED TO EXPLORE SKYRIM!
Shaunalea Archer What about this one? Hey you want to give me lots of money you'll never see again? I'll end up killing my workers and nick *receive* more money from you.
the worst quest i have ever come across is a small misc quest by the same dark elf that you give the nirnroot to and she then says to go find 20 jazberry grapes or whatever the fuck their called. Those grapes are so small and probably one of the rarest items in skyrim, and you have to find 20 of them.
Had the same problem my first time around, because I hadn't yet visited the volcanic tundra around the Eldergleam Sanctuary. They're everywhere around that place. :)
Slap Slap Slap Clap Clap Clap That one was so easy for me! Early on in the game I had made it my mission to purchase a home in Falkreath with the Hearthfire mod, and planted the one Jazbay Grape that I had. Since you get 3 back, plant those three and then you'll harvest 12* (I failed math). And all you really have to do is leave your house and return after another quest or two. Did the same thing for Ingun Black-Briar with the deathbell and nightshade.
Head south from Windhelm until you hit the area with hot springs. There are Jazbay Grapes everywhere. They're just hard to see. Look for small patches of leaves on the ground--they almost appear to be shimmering like water when you get close. There are a ton just by the side of the road.
Slap Slap Slap Clap Clap Clap What I do is I go to each of the major cities like Whiterun or Windhelm and I enter the alchemy or general stores and buy their ingredients. It's easy and it might take time but you'll have a lot of ingredients for any quests requiring them.
I hate: Filial Bonds Anything in Black Reach Anything in the forgotten vale Anything in any dwemer ruin Black Book quests That place where Serana's mom is
Lone Wolf I just finished up all the Solstheim quests last night except for Filial Bonds... seriously fuck that quest. There is no reason why you don't get a quest marker for that one. The guy can die in game and you wouldn't know it. My guess is I can't find him because he's at the bottom of the ocean somewhere. Fuck 'em, I'm over it... worst fucking quest!
That Serana's mom quest is make me consider going back to a old save file just to join the dawnguard and kill everyone that's responsible for that LOOOOOOOOOONNNGGGGG boring quest. I just want that ring of erudite ffs
Luke Scheer have you fought the reaper? I hated with this skull too and then you dont even use this spell im a sneaking twohanded warrior i dont need a damm horse

Hahahaha, this is never going to die, is it? And don't even dare me because... I just might. Ohhhh, no way! How's she feeling after the birth? I sent her some cordial, I hope she got it.
The vale was actually the best area in Skyrim for me. A serene ambiance with breathtaking views, new strange alchemy ingredients and animals, this frozen lake with a Wall and with 2 dragons bursting throught the ice, if you dive in the lake there's a chest, there are the ice giants, the 5 paragons to collect, then you can activate portals portals with the paragons, there is auriel's shield, there are the 4 falmer tomes... and I'm sure I haven't found everything yet.
I ate one and found another. Now every time i get thrown in prison i have -1/30. I have no intentions to go back there because i can't stand the screaming plants that make me want to punch a wall.
Same goes with frost. It's sad. This game has been out since my son's been born and I'm only now playing it. On a ps3. That sabre cat all glitched out on them companion missions is whack tho. That was literally the first companion mission I did after dude vouched for me. Already cleared the area and couldn't for some reason. Go do any other mission. My smart ass restarted the whole game. Had like forty hours into it.
The issue is that it's a bit of a time sink... ...and it's a huge interior cell, and it's pretty dark, at least aesthetically... ...and, if you want to leave to go do something else, you have to remember where an elevator is to leave, and that still takes some time, so it's a large hassle overall. I don't really like to get locked into things like that; I don't like that kind of needless commitment. I also dislike really long dungeons that overstay their welcome super hard. It's an issue that some mods I've seen fall into-- Undeath comes to mind, alongside a strong feeling of pure loathing. It's good to hear that some people enjoy Blackreach, though. EDIT: Atlas Map Markers helps.
I think it looks pretty ugly due to the VERY simplified ground meshes. Would love it if there were a mod that brought it up to more modern standards, it could look quite pretty with a bit more effort put into it.
I love the look of Blackreach, and it was fun to run around it. But the noise... the *fucking* Nirnroot screeching! I had to play on mute for most of it because I started getting an awful migraine!
I actually loved Touching The Sky, It's one of my favourite quests. But screw No Stone Unturned, I really didn't like that quest, but I liked It's reward, because I almost always found diamonds in chests and, I like collecting diamonds.
Kevin Sullivan In Whiterun, if Maro's scheduled isn't screwed up, Gaius Maro will sleep in the inn. Kill him while he is sleeping. Or have an outrageous amount of sneak...then it doesn't matter.
Worse than that, I killed some Thalmor and he reported me! Seriously, I got a bounty for killing that elf scum! Then he tried to push me off the cliff I was dropping the Thalmor and Whiterun Guard bodies off! He's just lucky that I wanted the achievement more than I wanted the axe. For real though, any quest where you have to have a follower is the worst quest.
Bleak falls barrow. Hate it. Restarting playthroughs because I want to change mods (I was the new to the modding community, I wanted them all) I ended up doing that dungeon about 10 times before settling into a playthrough.
I had 17 characters on X360, and I've done about three characters on XONE (with the alt. start mod) that went through Bleak Falls Barrow. Fuck that quest. But nothing beats the hatred I have for doing Blackreach over and over.
I've only gotten two Dawnbringers once. What I find annoying is getting to the temple and the stupid quest item is gone. Find it again and when I get back IT'S GONE AGAIN! Stumble across it yet again and 3 minutes after leaving the cave where I found it I see a message saying "You have lost Meridia's Beacon." WTF!!!
Eric Adams dear god that brings back horrifying flashbacks. I didn't mind the actual temple run but having to deal with Meridia was to much especially since they hover you high above ground and you know you won't be dropped but Skyrim physics won't let you relax.
Actually In the quest "Touching The Sky" there are 2 unique dragons. There on that big iced over Lake. They burst through the ice and shit. It's a pretty cool fight. You have to fight both of them at once. The quest itself is a pain in the ass but, the double dragon fight is a cool idea with the whole two at once and bursting through the ice.
I sat down and spent like 4 hours trying to find all of those screaming weeds because I thought "If its this fucking hard, the reward must be jaw-dropping." So your telling me that I spent like 4 hours going insane trying to find 30 samples of bullshit when the cave is huge, dark, covered in falmer and automatons, and only has 40 bullshit plants in it, to be able to get 2 potions instead of 1 25% of the time. That's every twenty-five in ONE HUNDRED. FML
Sometimes it procs more or less often(if you are doing smaller batches) but on the whole it's around 25%. On my last full play through I had like 3000+ chaurus eggs and 1200+ luna moth wings, both of which can be combined to make expensive Invisibility potions(worth over 2000 when made using my Alchemy gear combined with my Alchemy skill, perks and Seeker of Shadow). In a few minutes I combined those ingredients a little over 1200 times and ended up with a little over 1500 potions. That's over 3,000,000 gold worth of potions in a few minutes time. The Green Thumb perk works on most plants(save varieties of Nirnroot) and it also works on Eggs(the most important being Chicken's eggs from nests and Chaurus Eggs). Chicken's eggs have the Damage Magicka Regen property(as do bear claws, Blue Butterfly Wings, Blue Mountain Flowers, Hanging Moss, Nightshade and Spider Eggs to name a few ingredients that can be harvested in relative abundance). Since catching butterflies and moths gives you 2 wings each time, harvesting all this stuff(save bear claws and spider eggs) gives me enough ingredients each time to combine and make over 5000 gold worth of potions(with Sinderion's Serendipity).
jtenorj I don't know if there was any connection with Sinderion's Serendipity but earlier today I ran through my entire stockpile of alchemy ingredients training the skill (starting from about 98) and ended up making it Legendary three times in a row. Main level went from 71 to 76 in about ten minutes. Alchemy OP man.
My least favorite quest the killing parthenax quest. I could never bring myself to it. I'd sooner spit on the grave of my dead fish than kill parthunax. (Yes, I barried my fish lmao) Also my favorite quest is the undercover thalmor one in the main storyline
I hate the quest where we have the kill the dragon that frees you from dying at the beginning. like dude, lets kill everyone and rule the burnt up world together. But no, he attacks me as well so I have to use my werewolf powers to attack him and die
david owen I do actually wish you could team up with Alduin and the dragons and they would teach you the way of the dovah and then they would take over skyrim
See... thing is... I WOULD like a route where you could team up with the dragons and wipe the floor with everybody, but... Alduin kinda wants to eat everything. As in eat the world. Where everyone and everything would die. Sooooo... yeeeaaaah...
Actaullly Alduin wants to enslave humanity and bring apon a new age of the dragon. The story you are hearing from esbern and all of them is what Akataosh made Alduin for before Alduin decided to do his own thing. (From my understanding...but i'm also really tired as of writing this)
yes it is his job to bring the new time period but he was getting arrogant in his power and used it to rule everyone and everything.. that's why you as the last dragonborn got sent to kill him.. i never minded killing alduin but i hated how lame the fight was.. what i didn't like was that you have to kill paarthurnax in order to do the blades stuff.. thx to the maker of the mod the paarthurnax dilemma..
The only reason that the quest is annoying is because you accepted it but can't complete it... Honestly if you aren't going to complete it don't talk to the blades ever after that one quest that opens the discussion
Omg I thought I was the only one who hated the dwemmer ruins too! Idk what it is, but I just hate them. Maybe it's all the robot things clanking around. They've always been a pain to kill for me.
Discerning the transmundane. This quest was a special kind of rage for me. See, it was my first dwarven ruin. I didn't know of the horrors that awaited me inside of this mountain. The robots, the traps, the twisting, turning, confusing maze that was alftand. All i knew of was the falmer. I fought them once in a cave that wasn't connected to dwarven ruins. I already decided that i hate the falmer and everything they stand for. So i walk in. Robots. My reaction: "oh... Robots... R o b o t s." then, traps. My reaction: "ooh chest better search WHAT THE FUJFJSGNDIEGBSJHFN" then, I realized what a labyrinth the place was. I was half expecting David Bowie to be at the center with a baby and a bunch of goblins. Then, I said these exact words: "well, at least there aren't those, uh.. What are they called? Falmer? Yeah, at least there aren't falmer!" then I saw a red dot. Below it, was a health bar and the name "falmer" "YOU'VE GOTTA BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!!!" and after 6 literal hours of falmer, robots, traps, and traumatizing 80's movie, i reached the scroll. "Here we are!!! Wait. Is this a fucking puzzle? (Pushes button) this is a fucking puzzle, isn't it?" the last thing i could possibly want after 6 hours of the black sheep of the family that is skyrim, is a puzzle. Let alone a puzzle that makes no fucking sense. So after spending 10 minutes of "push button" i get the scroll. So then i find out about the blood thing. Every dungeon. Every ruin. Every town. Every cave. Every tower. Saying "please be a wood elf! Please be a dark elf," etc. A total of 9 hours went into this quest. 9 Fucking *Hours.*
Orcs in Dishnik, wood elves walking around Hilgrum's Tomb, dark elves at Thalmor embassy, falmor...you already know. I didn't actively look for it all, i back-burnered the quest and let the game come to me.
Haven’t even watched the video I’m calling it rn: No stone unturned Crimson nirnroot Elder knowledge/discerning the transmundane Bleak falls barrow just because you do it every. Single. Playthrough. Edit: 3/4 and how could I forget Break of Dawn, everybody’s favorite 😍
the unique enemies and the reward of Break of Dawn was pretty nice, but the quest was indeed pretty boring and annoying (I was level 14 and that mage kept killing me with one hit)
I actually love the archery lesson with Angi, as it gives you actual practice in how to aim your bow, not just skill levels that increase your damage output. And as a side note, if you really used the ebony bow, then no wonder you had difficulty; the draw time for the ebony bow is long, so you should use a lower tier bow when doing this. As an alchemist, I proudly raise my hand and declare I make my own potions, because anything I make is far better than anything I can buy in alchemist store. Doubly so when I'm also an enchanter and make my own "Fortify Alchemy" gear. But I definitely agree that the "No Stone Unturned" questline is the most annoying. I picked up one stone in my first playthrough of Skyrim, unwitting of the curse that lay upon it, and I never made that mistake again in other profiles (save for the one where I deliberately sought to actually complete it).
I actually didn't know bows had different draw time. This is the kind of things that should really be indicated on the item... (well swing speed isn't shown either for weapons I guess...)
I used a daedric bow on that questline. I love archery irl and in skyrim so it was actually pretty easy for me since I have had experience with the bow for a long time before i got to the shack. I'm already used to the fact that the arrow goes up from a certain distance. The fourth target at the back during the practice is the only one where you have to aim slightly higher than the target
DoctorWortspieler ”Angi’s camp” was the first location I discovered on my first playthrough, accidentally went straight there right after escaping Helgen. And I honestly love the fact that I did it, quickly learned how to use a bow!
Oh my God... I hate it too. That's why I never gonna end Thieves Guild. Maybe I am too serious about it, but I hate the thought that some b*tch (no offense, I like Karliah and love her voice) literally sales my soul to get on the Nocturnal's good side again and to get some revenge.
Crimson Nirnroot I hate the most, the No Stone Unturned, but I got the marker mod too. After hours of listening to nirnroots: Crazy? Dragonborn? Hahahaha! Now that... madness... haha!!!!
DON'T listen to him!!! I still have my crown of CHEESE!!!!!!! I really do! Ya gotta believe me martal!!!! Or do ya? Now that's thu important question now isn't it? Or is it?............................................ CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!! I'm of ta have a wheel of CHEESE with ma good friends, Cicero and Pelagius!!!!!!!
@@ryanalving3785 Yeah, but that dark elf lady near riften managed to grow nirnroot always at the same spot, so I guess it is possible. The conditions for one plant growing probably make it very difficult to do it. She said that she needs the Jazbay Grapes because their acid is exactly what the soil needs for the Nirnroot.
I laughed so hard at this, and that "no stone unturned" quest, yeah fuck that quest, I haven't finished it in 2 friggen years...and probably never will. And I can go the rest of my life without hearing the ringing of another nirnroot.
You can save before you collect a stone and then click multiple times on it as fast as you can and it usually collects 2-3 for me, but one time I got 8 from one stone. It's quite easy that way.
A few things: 1) In regards to Fire Salts, just find the Alchemist Shops and buy them, 2) To be fair, with the Auriel's Bow Quest, it IS part of the main Dawnguard Quest, and on top of that, you get to fight 2 Dragons and get a new Word of Power in that fill the jug with water Quest, 3) I know a lot of people in the comments complain about Meridia's Beacon, but I actually enjoyed that Quest. Get a new Daedric Artifact (whether you choose to serve Meridia or not) and there's a Word of Power for Elemental Fury near the Statue of Meridia

+Crazy Wolves I have litterly over 20 characters and I'm sick of it I don't know what is causing me to keep restarting the fucking game😂 alright I mean some had some annoying glitches in quests
you guys are missing the biggest point in that water jug quest. Theres trolls in different locations that drop spheres. Those spheres are used to open doors that contain amazing loot.
Buts it’s really irritating, the quest was so long and then you have to go fill up jugs, I remember the first time I was playing the quest and I was trying to find one and the two dragons shot out of the ice. Biggest jump scare.
@@Josh-xd7jc I remember I actually fell into the water in the middle of the fight and I expected the dragons to come into the water and kill me like sharks. BTW I was scared the water before hand so that didn't help.
Is it bad I kinda enjoyed the "return to your roots" quest? Blackreach is really pretty and I like that it allowed me to explore it pretty thoroughly and get some nice loot.
Return to your roots was actually enjoyable and relaxing for me. I recently finished it even like last week on my mage character. I finished it within an hour and Blackreach is pretty so I enjoyed the scenery. The passive ability is actually pretty good if you're using [power] potions to sell for gold.
Discerning The Transmundane is one of the best quests in the game. The journey down to Blackreach via Alftand is fucking incredible. It's an ACTUAL quest that takes alot of time and patience. I love it.
I know it wouldn't work I am just saying how random and funny it would be to hear this type of dialog in the background of a film. You walk past a hunter and all you hear is ''fuck you Mr wolf'' things like that.
Touching the sky is my favorite quest of all time in skyrim and the forgotten vale is my favorite place in all of skyrim the fight with the two dragons the snow elves auriel's shield auriel's bow the paragons from the frost Giants and the scenery and auriel's temple its soooooooo good
First time I went there, the first Frost Giant glitched and I couldn't loot him, didn't know at the time and kept on going, went through the whole Vale, found out about the Paragons and their use, and that I was missing one. I felt bad, real bad.
they are great the first time but all of them look the same and they are really big and there is a bunch of lockpicking and it takes forever to explore.
CahaLLo It would be boring for a lot of players, but I always stop and read the books, search their homes and shit, hoping to see some window into the life of the Dwemer. It's kind of like the Deep Roads in Dragon Age, a lot of people find them boring, I always like to explore and wonder what it was like before it all fell apart. The impressive architecture helps too.
I remember adventuring through blackreach, seeing all the beautiful colors and unique design and just thinking...

Rofl I can relate
I said to myself “huh that’s weird.” I pick it up and BOOM

I bought Skyrim for the Xbox 360 on December 21st, 2011. I didn’t complete “No Stone Unturned” until July 8th 2018. Unbelievable
I just got all of the stones finally, but now I'm angry because I have to get the crown and kill some Falmer.
Every playthrough I usually just devote a day to getting them.
Literally I never completed it on my own it takes so long
I saw the thumbnail and thought, "say no more. I feel your pain."
Someone You Don't Know. By far the worst side quest was that exact nirnroot collection part and black reach was annoying as hell.
Solution : player.additem 000b701a “30”
Ahaha

Dwemer ruins,
Falmer caves,

Every since 2011 I have never completed the unusual gem quest.
Sheogorath Daederic Prince Of Madness
Plot twist seeing as your a daedric prince you can just get your champion to do it for you
I like this because I imagine Sheogorath wandering through Tamriel searching for unusual gems getting progressively angrier as time passes without him finding all 24
This quest is what led to his Madness!
This is the reason I cheat and rapid fire the TAKE button each time I find a gem. I was able to pick up 24 in 6 or 7 locations. Now I find gems EVERYWHERE.
I have the Mod that shows where they are and I still have never comopleted it.
I downloaded a mod and focused ONLY on the no stones unturned quest without knowing the reward. When I found out I was ready to scream
I think it's meant to be a quest you complete passively, gradually picking things up over time with a sweet bonus if you happen to find all of them

the worst quest i have ever come across is a small misc quest by the same dark elf that you give the nirnroot to and she then says to go find 20 jazberry grapes or whatever the fuck their called.
Slap Slap Slap Clap Clap Clap What about the Black-Briar girl who wants 20 nirnroot, 20 nightshade, and 20 deathbell.
Seriously, fuck that.
I hate:
Filial Bonds
Anything in Black Reach
Anything in the forgotten vale
Anything in any dwemer ruin
Black Book quests
That place where Serana's mom is
Lone Wolf I just finished up all the Solstheim quests last night except for Filial Bonds... seriously fuck that quest. There is no reason why you don't get a quest marker for that one. The guy can die in game and you wouldn't know it. My guess is I can't find him because he's at the bottom of the ocean somewhere. Fuck 'em, I'm over it... worst fucking quest!
I agree with literally everything you just said
Lone Wolf I enjoyed the black books but ngl I ran through the entire areas. It was more the search for the books I liked
Lone Wolf same
That Serana's mom quest is make me consider going back to a old save file just to join the dawnguard and kill everyone that's responsible for that LOOOOOOOOOONNNGGGGG boring quest. I just want that ring of erudite ffs
The mission to find Arvaks skull drove me mad. After like 10 hours of searching the soul cairn I finally gave up and went to UA-cam
Luke Scheer have you fought the reaper? I hated with this skull too and then you dont even use this spell im a sneaking twohanded warrior i dont need a damm horse
Luke Scheer his skull is still in my inventory never to be returned
Lol, I found his skull randomly when I was walking through the soul Cairn:P
jeffreyb1228 same here
+ jeffreyb1228
you will get it as a reward if you return it
For anyone trying to do the elf blood thing, go to Liar's Retreat. You can get 4 of the 5 blood types from that 1 dungeon
Let me map out your next ten videos for ya, Graenolf-
1. Top 5 Most Annoying Barrels
2. Top 5 Saddest Barrels
3. Top 5 Best Barrel Rewards
4. Top 5 Hidden Barrels
5. Top 5 Barrel Ambush Encounters
...Rinse and repeat for Fallout & Skyrim. You're welcome.
P.S.- I visited the mother barrel in game yesterday and she says hi.
Hahahaha, this is never going to die, is it? And don't even dare me because... I just might.
Ohhhh, no way! How's she feeling after the birth? I sent her some cordial, I hope she got it.
Graenolf *DO IT!!!*
Graenolf i dare you
Graenolf She did, and she's impressed you knew elderflower was her favorite. ^_^ Thankee-sai.
Jesseca Alvarez-Kuykendall best barrel reward: the one that had 30000 gold in it at the end of some quest
Wait, five paragons?!
one per gem type, except garnet
you got spoilers on UESP, forgotten vale page
the long ass cave system soon became nice and then not annoying
I accidentaly ate my 5 Crimson Ninroots. And now my marker is -5/30
Eclipse Shark skooma my friend. Lots and lots of skooma.
Oh my god same😂
The unofficial patch will fix that weird glitch. I got it, too, and have no idea what happened or why the game would be programmed to do that.
I ate one and found another. Now every time i get thrown in prison i have -1/30. I have no intentions to go back there because i can't stand the screaming plants that make me want to punch a wall.
crimson nirnroots respawn
I'm with you on the fire salts WTF? But my least favorite quest is to get all of the ingredients for that girl in Riften
her name is vex and she is hot!!
@@hunterloyacano3375 Wrong person. It's Ingun Black Briar and you get the key to her chest for doing it.
@@lordinquisitorsec7532 Yup -- she leaves really nice potions which you can then SELL for MONEY!
You get fire salts by killing flame antronachs then looting their remains.
I really don't mind Blackreach that much. I actually find it one of the prettiest locations in Skyrim, and one of the most intriguing
Caleb Caleb me too!
EDIT:
Atlas Map Markers helps.
I think it looks pretty ugly due to the VERY simplified ground meshes. Would love it if there were a mod that brought it up to more modern standards, it could look quite pretty with a bit more effort put into it.
i also like blackreach when you are down there and use shout power on the big glowing orange orb you get to fight that big dragon
I love the look of Blackreach, and it was fun to run around it. But the noise... the *fucking* Nirnroot screeching! I had to play on mute for most of it because I started getting an awful migraine!
A Return To Your Roots was very annoying and had a crappy reward, but I have to admit Blackreach is amazing.
Nothing quite like the "Oh No Oh No Oh No" moments when you trigger the giant wasps or stumble into a centurion by accident.
@C01d R4m3n Technically called Chaurus Hunters, but yeah. They're basically Wasps.
Also, Blackreach is beautiful. The Dark Heart of Skyrim.
I actually loved Touching The Sky, It's one of my favourite quests. But screw No Stone Unturned, I really didn't like that quest, but I liked It's reward, because I almost always found diamonds in chests and, I like collecting diamonds.
Your forgetting return the skeleton key.
You mean you actually returned it?
Wait we can opt out of returning it?
Dazzle Dragon You can’t actually opt out of doing it, but you can just simply not complete the quest and you can use it to pick locks
eh it doesn't rlly matter, picking locks is easy on the pc.
SollertisKhan Whilst it is, it’s nice because it means you don’t have to unlock the skill that makes lockpicks unbreakable
The most annoying one is the darkbrotherhood one with killing someone then taking to the night mother and repeating for infinity.
At least it pays well
What I find annoying is that I'M THE LISTENER, not some schlub back stabber. I'm supposed to tell one of the Bland Hand to get it done.
Kevin ikr xD
I was like ' Oh cool, thanks night mother. Yo Astrid yo Bitch, go get that done! '
But nah. She had to screw everything up ofc
yes, and you have to come back to dark brotherhood every time, this is too boring
Kevin Sullivan In Whiterun, if Maro's scheduled isn't screwed up, Gaius Maro will sleep in the inn. Kill him while he is sleeping. Or have an outrageous amount of sneak...then it doesn't matter.
You forgot "A Daedra's Best Friend". "Hi, I'm Barbas! Let me aggro every Godforsaken enemy within a 2 mile radius!"
What? You didn't tell him to stop following you?
You can just fast travel or wait and the dog will automatically go where he needs to go, no need to follow him.
God and he had the worst fucking voice, he sounded like a jew from brooklyn
Worse than that, I killed some Thalmor and he reported me! Seriously, I got a bounty for killing that elf scum! Then he tried to push me off the cliff I was dropping the Thalmor and Whiterun Guard bodies off! He's just lucky that I wanted the achievement more than I wanted the axe.
For real though, any quest where you have to have a follower is the worst quest.
MoxiMigrate that last part got me literally laughing out loud
Bleak falls barrow. Hate it. Restarting playthroughs because I want to change mods (I was the new to the modding community, I wanted them all) I ended up doing that dungeon about 10 times before settling into a playthrough.
I had 17 characters on X360, and I've done about three characters on XONE (with the alt. start mod) that went through Bleak Falls Barrow.
Fuck that quest. But nothing beats the hatred I have for doing Blackreach over and over.
Dont even mention that place.
I got the elder scroll and forgot the lexicon. And had to go through the entire ruins again to get it
KA-BOOM-EN I’ve honestly done that so many times like every time I replay the game I forget the lexicon every time
I made the same mistake. Even worse is that the game decided to re lock the great lifts so I had to delve the whole ruin again.
KA-BOOM-EN I literally did just did the same thing a few days ago lol
Use a bucket. You can go through many objects
I did that too. I cried
Every time I see the beacon in a chest I run away as fast as my character can lol
And she won’t shut the fuck up until you do the quest. Made me never wanna do it in the first place
but the quest is short, all bodies loot gold, getting 2 dawnbringers and setting enemies ablaze is awsome.
"A new hand touches the OOORRRBBBB!!!!!"
Eric Adams dear god that brings back horrifying flashbacks. I didn't mind the actual temple run but having to deal with Meridia was to much especially since they hover you high above ground and you know you won't be dropped but Skyrim physics won't let you relax.
Lets be honest as a honourable mention i should add the 10 bear pelt quest to this list
FML
Thats one in four
So fun! And then you get your ass kicked and remember you haven't saved in an hour
I actually loved Angi’s quest, each time you hit a target, your archery skill gets a huge boost. that’s how training in this game should’ve been.
My least favorite quest the killing parthenax quest. I could never bring myself to it.
I'd sooner spit on the grave of my dead fish than kill parthunax. (Yes, I barried my fish lmao)
Also my favorite quest is the undercover thalmor one in the main storyline
Yo I buried my fish too
You didn't have to kill him. If you neglected it until after you killed Alduin, the quest disappears and you never see it again.
I actually hate it as you cant say no to Esbern. U can only tell the grsybesrds. Fuck esbern and delphine
I refuse to kill him. So I dont.
@@bushyracc There is a mod on nexusmods. It does allow you to go up t the blades and tell them no. U can threaten them. So satisfying
my least favorite quest is blood on the ice because it glitched out and wont let me continue it
Frankie Triebl Fucking hate that quest and it's glitching.
TestRun ikr
i really wanted to finish ti
So many times... glitch central.
i finished it
I hate the quest where we have the kill the dragon that frees you from dying at the beginning. like dude, lets kill everyone and rule the burnt up world together.
(From my understanding...but i'm also really tired as of writing this)
Connected Gamers no, its his job to bring a new time period. he even states it while fighting the 3 ancient dovahkiin
yes it is his job to bring the new time period but he was getting arrogant in his power and used it to rule everyone and everything.. that's why you as the last dragonborn got sent to kill him.. i never minded killing alduin but i hated how lame the fight was.. what i didn't like was that you have to kill paarthurnax in order to do the blades stuff.. thx to the maker of the mod the paarthurnax dilemma..
I agree, the most annoying quests are No Stone Unturned or Back to your Roots, but my least fav has to be the Blades quest Paathurnax
Kitsune Robyn Same!!!!! I fucking.......HHHHH- Also. Yeah. Paarthurnax...I never do the quest. Ever. I cantttt
The only reason that the quest is annoying is because you accepted it but can't complete it... Honestly if you aren't going to complete it don't talk to the blades ever after that one quest that opens the discussion
There's actually a mod that you can talk to the blades and tell delphine that you won't kill paarthunax
Paarthurnax*
I'M SO HAPPY I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HATES DWEMER RUINS!!!!!
Dani Addler that's why you do the platter glitch what you do i s find the exits
OMFG! I fucking hate them too! AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY! xD
who doesnt
Nordic catacombs I can handle, but this talk of Dwemer ruins and Falmer ruins? World's gone mad I'd say.
Below it, was a health bar and the name "falmer"
"YOU'VE GOTTA BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!!!" and after 6 literal hours of falmer, robots, traps, and traumatizing 80's movie, i reached the scroll.
9
Fucking
*Hours.*
badgerboi games I'm doing this quest right now. I wanna kill myself, the alftand part it fucking never ended
Orcs in Dishnik, wood elves walking around Hilgrum's Tomb, dark elves at Thalmor embassy, falmor...you already know. I didn't actively look for it all, i back-burnered the quest and let the game come to me.
I spent a whole day trying to finish this quest
I just googled where they are. I'm too lazy to find them on my own
The thumbnail pissed me off so here I am.
Ah, I like to call it the Crimson trigger
LTC cherno dug dimmadome
Same. Hhhhh- takes fucking forever....
Haven’t even watched the video I’m calling it rn:
No stone unturned
Crimson nirnroot
Elder knowledge/discerning the transmundane
Bleak falls barrow just because you do it every.
I used a dragonbone bow and it wasn't difficult at all, but I imagine the ideal choice would be Zephyr.
DoctorWortspieler ”Angi’s camp” was the first location I discovered on my first playthrough, accidentally went straight there right after escaping Helgen. And I honestly love the fact that I did it, quickly learned how to use a bow!
Can you remember what the rewards for the stone
What's touching my leg D:
Free real estate ;)
Legitimately surprised that Juib's Opus didn't make is on here.
I got all the fíre salts and married the smith. Just go to every alchemist you find and eventually you get ten
I hate quest in the Thieves Guild where you MUST give your soul to Nocturnal to continue.
But you do the very same thing when you complete any of the Daedric quests.
Well, Clavicus Vile doesn't actually say that.
No Julius Opus from soulcairn? No soulcairn? It's basically worse blackreach. With like 15 fetch quests. I cry.
But it has nostalgia value
He's from morrowind and dies in oblivion
Crimson Nirnroot I hate the most, the No Stone Unturned, but I got the marker mod too.
After hours of listening to nirnroots: Crazy? Dragonborn? Hahahaha! Now that... madness... haha!!!!
Lord Aniolist I literally became Cicero down there

How come the last two snow elves in tamriel look sexier than my wood elf? 👿
The last snow elf looks like Will Ferrell

Genetics.
Ages of worshipping the divines have granted them the power of mods
For the crimson nirnroot
Grow it in a garden if you have a house with one
You can't grow your own. Duh!
You can if you have Hearthfire and getting one of the properties you build, like Winstad Manor
oh. my. gosh. YOUR RIGHT
Isn't the point of nirnroot it never grows in the same place twice?
@@ryanalving3785 Yeah, but that dark elf lady near riften managed to grow nirnroot always at the same spot, so I guess it is possible. The conditions for one plant growing probably make it very difficult to do it. She said that she needs the Jazbay Grapes because their acid is exactly what the soil needs for the Nirnroot.
I laughed so hard at this, and that "no stone unturned" quest, yeah fuck that quest, I haven't finished it in 2 friggen years...and probably never will. And I can go the rest of my life without hearing the ringing of another nirnroot.
At your wedding I'm going to show up with a glowing satchel...
Those better be glowing mushrooms in that satchel
You can save before you collect a stone and then click multiple times on it as fast as you can and it usually collects 2-3 for me, but one time I got 8 from one stone. It's quite easy that way.
It's amazing what console commands can do. Wouldn't have done it without.
I had the same problem, then I downloaded a marker mod for that quest, then tada! :))
A few things:
1) In regards to Fire Salts, just find the Alchemist Shops and buy them,
2) To be fair, with the Auriel's Bow Quest, it IS part of the main Dawnguard Quest, and on top of that, you get to fight 2 Dragons and get a new Word of Power in that fill the jug with water Quest,
3) I know a lot of people in the comments complain about Meridia's Beacon, but I actually enjoyed that Quest. Get a new Daedric Artifact (whether you choose to serve Meridia or not) and there's a Word of Power for Elemental Fury near the Statue of Meridia
Just because I play so meny builds my god it has to be bleak falls barrow because it has to be done to get shouts
Yeah, this has caused me to hate shouting altogether. Although I sometimes miss Fus Ro Dah & Clear Skies!
Also, having to do the Brotherhood questline to get Cicero as a follower :P
I agree too much
+Crazy Wolves I have litterly over 20 characters and I'm sick of it I don't know what is causing me to keep restarting the fucking game😂 alright I mean some had some annoying glitches in quests
ReBirth Playz YES
But, you can literally just walk straight through it at level ONE if you somehow managed to not get a level in Helgen.
you guys are missing the biggest point in that water jug quest.
@@azathoththe3rd Im afraid of flipping mud crabs I DONT LIKE RIVERS OR OPEN OCEANS Do not get me starter on hoarkers

Also saving this as a reference to find the rest of those damn gems
Is it bad I kinda enjoyed the "return to your roots" quest? Blackreach is really pretty and I like that it allowed me to explore it pretty thoroughly and get some nice loot.
A new hand touches the beacon.....
nuff said
i absolutely hate meridia's beacon quest
pave 0 compared to the dawngaurd quest it's a cake walk plus you get tons of gold and the cool imperial helmet
Utada Misori LISTEN. Hear me and obey
A FOUL DARKNESS HAS SEEPED INTO MY TEMPLE...
Weed Lizard yep
Screaming plants, I'm done 😂😂😂
There should be a mod to replace the nirnroot ring with OYFUM.
AxilMatt there are no words for how much I love that
Return to your roots was actually enjoyable and relaxing for me.
I love it.
On the archery quest, if you drop the arrows on the ground she will give you more of them.
Quinn Meche good to know!
Quinn Meche, where is the quest?
soutwest of Falkreath in the mountains there I think
thanks, but I remembered that google exists and looked it up like 3 weeks ago.
haha np man, didnt see the date
If Skyrim ever becomes a film I would love for all the background people to have dialog from UA-cam videos done about the game.
elizabeth trudgill a Skyrim movie would never work though
I know it wouldn't work I am just saying how random and funny it would be to hear this type of dialog in the background of a film. You walk past a hunter and all you hear is ''fuck you Mr wolf'' things like that.
"Return to Blackreach"
...
Yeah, never doing THAT quest.
Touching the sky is my favorite quest of all time in skyrim and the forgotten vale is my favorite place in all of skyrim the fight with the two dragons the snow elves auriel's shield auriel's bow the paragons from the frost Giants and the scenery and auriel's temple its soooooooo good
not rly
I really like that quest too!
First time I went there, the first Frost Giant glitched and I couldn't loot him, didn't know at the time and kept on going, went through the whole Vale, found out about the Paragons and their use, and that I was missing one. I felt bad, real bad.
You gotta do that quest to completion to appreciate it. The only way you get the shield is w/the ruby paragon i believe. They all reap decent rewards.
i just finished that quest and fuck thatt quest
Blackreach was beautiful, I loved going there. Though I've always found the Dwemer ruins fascinating, so I never minded wandering around them.
Agreed!
artyismybae Bloody yes. The dwarven ruins, falmer caves and black reach were so exciting/beautiful for me. Can't believe it's so hated.
they are great the first time but all of them look the same and they are really big and there is a bunch of lockpicking and it takes forever to explore.
CahaLLo Those all sound like pros to me. Except the looking same part. I guess i just get into an exploration vibe
No stone unturned:
Me: Yes! I found one, just 22 more to go. Five days later, YES!!!! oh wait, that's the Rong one
Duengons with draugrs or falmmers are the most annoying
Yeah but if you can go through without using a weapon and just letting your "Ebony Mail"(given by Boethia during Boethia's Calling) it's not that bad
Death Lords in every god damn corner 😤
