I know that area intimately. I was born and raised in that area, about 4 blocks to the North. What I would have done is go over to 179th Street and Ft Washington Avenue and then make that left and get on the NJ side and ride from there.
The newly opened north sidewalk is a huge improvement. Specifically that horrible on/off ramp on the NYC side is now replaced with a wide, smooth ramp that takes you right to street level on Cabrini at 180th. Rode it in April, 2023. They just opened it after something like 6 years of construction. The south sidewalk is now closed for remodeling, probably will open in another 15 years after remodeling.
Hi Action Kid.Thank you for showing me so much of New York City ..I'm so glad I found your channel and have been enjoying all your videos and live streams..Your ferry ride to the Bronx was especially enjoyable and the scooter ride across the GW bridge was so nice but scary!!! Stay safe...Great camera work!!!
Thank you for visiting grants tomb My two favorite places are grants tomb and the charging bull thank you for visiting today I enjoy your scooter rides through the city awesome work Mighty Bull
I’m surprised and disappointed to be frank that you didn’t pause at the top and pan to the view. C-mon AK, that’s the best part! Thanks for the experience anyway. Better than not getting to take the ride at all. Love your work
Action kid, I saw the gates to the Historic park Ft Lee were / down closed ? - after you made that left turn after crossing = as I mention yesterday that would been a great & beautiful shot from the cliffs & over the Br. / H.River that most new yorkers / people never know about = maybe next time.
Nice I like videos on scooters and bikes. Yersterday on you live stream you talked about pelham park, would be nice if you could make a video on scooter there! Greetings from Uruguay.
they are testing these electric scooters here in uk i keep seeing them parked everywhere blocking half the cycle lanes etc pretty annoying if i'm honest
The carpool scheme is about to close down for riders from NJ to NY I just picked up the F30 practically on a whim for $400 used If I can get across the bridge reliably and on to the subway in about 20-30 minutes with this then it’s going to be pretty nice. I’m going to have to see how annoying it is if at all to store or lock wherever I’m in the city. Thanks
I believe you're feeling more windy on the bridge because you're going against the direction of the vehicular traffic. Which creates another wind drag against you. Am Not a physics expert.
Im from miami so im not familliar with this area ive never been to new york or new jersey though im very familiar with puerto rico and other US places like savannah, atlanta, jacksonville etc
All I could think of when you were crossing that bridge is how vulnerable you were to a tire flying off a semi truck. Maybe the camera made it look more perilous than it is. Thanks for the ride. I have never seen NYC.
You always take us to absolutely wonderful places on your walks and rides. Fort Lee is just one of the many, many. Thank you so much!!!

Excellent! It's a great route.
Never knew there was a bike lane on the GW - you learn something new every day!

Yup, it's the busiest bridge!
@@ActionKid That’s really cool and such a neat experience from the scooter perspective!
AK, does it cost anything to ride your e-scooter, riding a bike, walking, ect across the bridge?
No, but late at night, the bridge is closed for any foot traffic.

It doesn't cost anything to cross from NY to NJ, only from NJ to NY>
Also reminding people how important grants presidency and his participation in the Civil War help to build our country
Hi AK♥️

Hello ActionKid. Have a good day and be careful riding around NYC.
