I grew up near Edgewater (I actually worked a summer in Mitsuwa) and now I live in Astoria so this was quite informative. Thank you! I just bought a scooter over the weekend and am waiting for it to arrive so I'm excited to try this route to visit my parents.
Just so your viewers are aware, legally you have to walk your bike/escooter across the RFK/Triboro. I've never seen a soul do that or NYPD enforce this but something to be aware of.
Back in the late 1950.s, I used to ride my bike across the Triboro Bridge as it was called then. There were 5 staircases to negoiate then, but it wasn't necessary to exit the bridge superstucture proper. Enjoyed your presentation. Thanks,

Wow. That was an epic ride. Probably the most miles traveled I've seen. And across states and to two boroughs! What was your battery reading after that, did you check? And BTW, on the stairs, why didn't you use the channels at the side? Those are for cyclists to walk their bikes instead of carrying them. Did you ever try them with the scooter?
Great presentation. When riding on the RFK bridge are there warning signs that inform you there are steps; especially going down a slope?

Some of the most aggressive drivers I ever met were in Edgewater, You are a brave man leaving from the Japanese supermarket. Sad they never built a bike lane to the bridge. It is one of the busiest cycling and car roads you will ever see in NJ

42:17-Those kiosks at the block in the right hand corner of the screen that dispense MetroCards and OMNY cards are what I'd love to see the TTC have here in Toronto for people to be able to get fares quickly and easily.

A.K. on your way going toward Morningside Heights toward Columbia University, cars were stopped at the red light and you went through the red light. I've seen you do this multiple times, and I'm not being a wise guy, but after seeing you do this more than a few times, so is there some strange law that it's legal for scooters to safely go around the cars that are stopped at the red lights? The only thing I'm beginning to wonder is if I am looking at the street lights incorrectly. I really enjoy your videos a lot, Thank you

I like the fact that they have the lanes in jersey wide enough where you can ride your bike on the right side of the road. In New York City I do like the fact that they do have dedicated bike lanes the problem is the cyclist there are reckless to be quite honest and they don’t have helmets either. But a nice ride overall I must say
44:10 I would have taken the 145h St or Madison Ave bridges into the Bronx and then the bike path under the Hell Gate. That way you don't have to deal with the craziness of 125th or the Triboro.

I wouldn't ride a scooter or a bike because there is no dedicated lane. You are at the mercy of cars.
That wouldn't get you far in most cities. In my city maybe 10% of roads have bike lanes.

Your way too slow riding in the road way too dangerous! If your scooter can do 35 mph is alot safer than 17mph not safe not only that your piss off alot of drivers!
If you're that slow it's much safer for you to stay in sidewalk besides sidewalk is empty. If you're scooter can go over 40mph then it's safer on road.
