Cyberpunk 2077 is even more impressive in terms of lighting and reflections. It lacks in draw distance but if you look close at 4K DLAA Path Tracing presentation there's crazy visual excellence without FG and DLSS+Ray Reconstruction artifacts. 4K30 in this glorious mode requires 50% faster GPU than 4090. And 4K60 DLAA will be possible only with RTX 7090. This looks MUCH better at native 4K+DLAA
@@ilovepizza8263yeah because path tracing. If this game had path tracing it would look straight up like the movie. They didn't put in path tracing though because they had AMD sponsorship and on AMD graphics cards path tracing runs absolutely horribly.
@@ilovepizza8263 it's not. They look different because of photorealistic and stylized look but AW2 is hundred times smaller, less complex and have no dynamic systems like weather or change of day. You may prefer AW2 cinematic graphics but technically it's not better in any case.

except that its not worth it, its more of a benchmark tool that for visual fidelity. Therefore why not play ultra and have almost double the performance.
This is more or less a benchmark tool. For playing the visual difference is negligible. It is twice as power hungry and it give twice as good visuals needless to say the game on ultra already looks absolutely phenomenal then I would say its worth it or even ,if it gave me 25% increase in visual fidelity not something I need to look for with a magnifying glass. Without this I am playing all on ultra including ray tracing on 5120x1440 at pretty much 120 FPS. No need to mess with it, its simply there to raise a bar once again so they can start spitting new GPUs out at negligible performance increase , the standard 15% so it takes 4 new series until someone can run "unobtanium" setting at satisfactory frame rate. Not falling into the trap.
i don't know why people find this game good looking it looks like starfield it's so washed out even farcry 5 has comparable graphics and i tried unobtanium in 4k it just lags untill you turn down reflections which makes little to no difference with the visuals
The settings look no different really from ultra. I thought it was pointless, my gpu was sucking back over 430 watts and I couldn't really notice any difference from ultra.
@@Rocko130185Copium, it's that you don't want to see the difference. There are improvements I just watched the digital foundry video, and the shadows and reflections look noticeable better on unobtainium compared to normal ultra settongs, you may want to check it out.
@dhaumya23gango75 copium? I've a 4090 and can play it fairly easily, the only noticeably better thing is reflection quality and you've to use fsr frame gen to get it to about 100fps but the image doesn't look as good during movement as DLSS quality on ultra settings. I'm going to just up the reflections to max and see how it works with DLSS.
@@Rocko130185 You contradicted your previous statement that "The settings look no different really from ultra". Yes differences are minor but they exist.
@dhaumya23gango75 not remotely worth the performance hit. The only one you'll notice is the reflections. There's also a bug with the clouds when you use anything but quality in either fsr or dlss, they look extremely pixilated. Edit : for best settings up the specular reflections to max and environment reflection quality to max, set to FSR balanced, frame gen and for some strange reason use boaderless windows rather than full screen. Full screen will somehow distort the image with frame gen on this game. You will probably need the vrr capable tv/monitor, but I'm not sure because I don't have one without vrr to test. I use and LG C2. Getting about 120fps.
The image quality strangely doen't look impressive on my screen. But then again, I just ran Guardians of the Galaxy 1440p high RT ultra. That was absolutely stunning! Might even beats CP2077.

Biggest visual improvements are in volumetric effects from my point of view, biggest performance impact when shadow and reflections quality are maxed out though. So there's no need to max every aspect to have a visual improvement over the ultra settings and the impact in the performance could not be so high.
Does the max setting from this preset eliminate the flickering in clouds? Because just regular highest settings it looks like trash so I just turned clouds off completely.
Too bad the PS5 and Series version look nothing like this. Cant wait for the Series X2 and PS5 Pro or 6. This generation of consoles turned out to be weak.
It doesn't even look THAT impressive compared to other games that run much better. I think they're really not optimizing the games these days because not doing so sells graphics cards.
There is nothing called DLSS 2.x anymore. Now it's just a checklist in DLSS 3.5 which includes DLSS upscaling, DLSS Ray reconstruction and Frame Gen. Out of the 3 only the upscalling is part of Avatars as of now.@@gregorB92
