If Germany would have won the Battle of Britain and occupied Britain they would have total control of all Europe, making a landing to take back all that was lost almost impossible. They flew their planes over and British planes outnumbered shot them down and they lost their pilots as well. But the ones that Germany shot down the pilots just parachuted down and got into another plane. They also hid their planes on farms and other hiding places with takeoff area.
