I love all of these old interviews. Robert is so smart and introspective. Probably the reason we love him so much. Withstanding his physical beauty.
Young, handsome, fabulously wealthy and amazingly talented. Not bad for his mid 20s! lol 👏 what a LIFE!
This gave me chills. A bit prophetic wouldn't you say? I think when I see Robert now singing with Allison Krauss and I get uncomfortable at the physical changes in him now versus then, it is a projection of my own dismay in seeing myself age. I'm just glad I lived in the same time/realm as Led Zep and Robert and all of his other projects. It's been magical and wonderful!
I just saw him a week ago with Krauss. He was amazing. He may be 74 in age, but sounds just as wonderful as he did when he was 24.It was a wonderful show. Love him!
I agree, it is disconcerting to see the changes in this gorgeous man. I find it hard to believe, as I do myself when I look in the mirror. But what a charming, articulate young man he was, the eye contact, crooked smile, sexy drag on the ciggie. Absolutely adorable, and still is ❤
The Best smile!❤
Robert Plant is and has always been a deep, intelligent, introspective man. As good as he looked back then, it’s his mind I like the most.
This never gets old:):)
My god he's 26 and timeless in this interview
This is why I have adored this man for more than 40 years! 🙃😉🙂❤❤❤
That smile 😊 ❤❤❤
Legend pure and simple
This is epic. Have seen it before but this seems more complete and better quality. Thanks.
Oh my God I LOVE his hair!
The first thing I noticed is how coherent and on the ball Roberts replies are to Bobs questions, he certainly has a positive outlook on things 27 years old. This interview was done on 1/12/75, 7 months later Robert had his car accident. Great Stuff thank you for sharing this.
He’s a very smart man, have no doubt about that .
Found the right place….Earls Court. Was there!!🔥
AN extremally bright and insightful man
Time Is Swallowed By Every Move
So adorable
8:36 - The singer of the best rock and roll band in the world!
Never took care of his voice. Shame. Sitting there smoking a cigarette before a gig. Not to mention vocal surgery less than two years before. Still with all that abuse he recorded Physical Graffiti in 75 and that album is a monster.
@@mstmay9996 Yes he was definitely young, dumb and full of…… at this time. I just wish he knew in 71-72 that vocal care would have preserved that stellar voice we all loved.
Yes, he has some excellent songs.
Yeah wish he'd been able to take better care of his voice. Something changed in 73. In another interview I saw he mentions a particular show maybe in Australia where he had laryngitis before a show and a dr gave him a shot of something so he could sing to damaging his voice. I'm sure that and singing when he was sick didn't help.
I thought in 77 he had regained much of his range.
@@The1WhoKnowsTheTruth they didnt gave a shit sadly.
In the 70's many singers, people in general smoked. Hospitals had ashtrays in patients rooms. Dr's and nurses were notorious smokers. There weren't any warnings from anyone. This was a good example of a huge industry influencing government to keep it off the record that their products were harmful to the public.
The human ear is an amazing thing. You are able to stand in front of Marshall 200W stacks for hours and then be able to also hear Bob Harris's questions. Just kidding. Bob is a great interviewer and I believe he remained a long-term friend of Robert's.
Interesting insight here, considering what was to come...
Is he saying he has since lost his charisma ? You did go on Robert and quite successfully.
Excellent channel, love this archival footage. The interviewer was really good, he was knowledgeable about the band and let Mr. Plant speak.
Robert plan😍😍😍😍
❤
He once said he'd wash his hair and dry it in front of a gas fire.
He was like a Renaissance David Beckham in his day,
I'll be having good wishes that will be great.
👀👀👀😻
Interesting he sees no problem in doing large venues, of course that is a lot of money. I dislike festivals and big arena s, you pay a lot but dont see much.
trampled underfoot😎
He said a lot of you know’s
yea it's his thing.
