My story, I met a South African lady in Montreal in 1969, we fell in love, and she brought me home to South Africa as a souvenir. 54 years later, I'm still here.
I looooove that!
🤣🤣🤣 that sir is a mixture of adult-napping (kidnapping) and hijacking
@@RastaAfricanGentleman He was borrowed quickly for 54 years 🤣
@@shigoXIII 😆😆😆 spot on
Beautiful story ❤🎉, congratulations & welcome 🇿🇦🙏💯
You are literally South African now , the way you say "yoh" you are one of us 😂❤
one of us, one of us, one of us one of us!
at this point I can't remember how I used to speak without it 😭😂
That's right, we claim you, fam. Thoroughly enjoy your vid. Pls do more❤
@@emigrace😂ahh my sister let me tell you I'm trying to learn Japanese and i always tell my venda friend that Japanese is like venda interms of connotation😂😅their language is difficult, they speak from the chest like bit of Japanese, origato😂😅i dont know how to spell it in Japanese but i tried
I second this, I don’t care that the Canadian accent is still there this chick has a South African soul bruh
South Africa always attracts believers from all over the world, ❤❤
true.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. It is especially lovely to hear someone speak about their faith so openly and also for loving SA. A lot of South African people forget to see the beauty still visible in our country...and they keep on thinking they should leave because we have nothing good left here. Hearing you speak so mooi about our SA, made my heart swell.
Baie dankie😊
love this ❤️ thanks for such an encouraging comment :))
I'm currently in Hamburg on business. Visited 4 countries and a dozen cities. Was absolutely floored by the Caucasus mountains and their beauty. Plan to visit many more places, but South Africa is absolutely home. Flying back next week after a month abroad now.
Two weeks in Georgia for a Contiki (the country), and half the tour group wants to visit South Africa now. Africa is wild. It is interesting. Probably why I was voted 'most interesting person' on the tour with my stories 😂
😂yeah definitely most diverse place.
"Yoh"
Yep definitely one of us ❤🇿🇦
I've watched a few of your videos and when I found out you weren't from SA I was shocked. Your English and tossed in slang is naturally South African. PS legally blind so I can't see what I watch. God is good and his timing perfect.
Hahaha love that!
It's so refreshing to know that you are a believer. Thanks for sharing your story!
Emi, as a fellow Christian, language learner/lover- you have NO idea how amazing your channel is!! It literally makes my week when I see a video from you. Please never stop posting😅 the world needs more influence from you 🩷
that's so sweet--thank you ❤️
"Yoh!" U is one of us 😅🤣
I just found your channel and I am in LOVE with your it! I also lived in SA for some time and I miss it so much 😫 It is truly such a special place, it has got a vibe that I havn't found anywhere else in the world ❤
God bless sister and a belated welcome to our country!! 🇿🇦
Greetings from east of Joburg
Sister in Christ... fellow (honorary) South African... you've got a new subscriber. ❤
You have the coolest testimony ever. It's incredible how the LORD has used you on your journey. He always has a plan even when it doesn't feel like it. Love watching your journey and happy you feel at home in RSA❤🙌
I've also hit s roadblock in my life and your testimony about the goodness of the Lord has encouraged me so much. Thanx and much love from South Africa... God bless🙏🏻♥️
Listening from Braamfontein, Johannesburg. Really encouraged to hear how many times I've heard the word "pray" in this vid😄 Whenever you're in town (Braamfontein- Joburg CBD) you can visit us at Khanya City church.
thanks so much 🥹🤍
I will always choose South Africa (or even just Africa) over other continents. Yes, we might have incompetent and corrupt governments BUT this is Africa we are talking about. Other continents are there to go visit and nothing else. I might be a tiny bit bias seeing that I am from the the African continent, doesn't change my viewpoint.
its so good to hear about someone that prays about things. God bless you.
Interesting story. Seemingly SA tends to get a bad rep from the "first world economy" diaspora (unfairly so in my view). Many, from the States especially; upon landing on our shores, end up in tears/regret for having not come sooner in their lives.
We sure do have our problems, however SA is well-endowed with some beautiful landscapes and some of the most diverse fauna and flora environments. Another thing I've heard expats gushing more and more about... THE PEOPLE. I just know, you will fall more in love with this country as you get to visit more destinations within.
All the best wishes on your sojourn in Mzansi.
As a follower since your early Spanish learning days it’s great to see how you’ve grown and how you ended up in South Africa! It’s weird how life works!
Praise the LORD. Jesus is so faithful. 😊
Wonderful story, being faithful in prayer and trusting in God. I love your bubbly personality, and that you love our beautiful country. You are a living testimony to God's love and faithfulness. Your heart is sold out for Jesus! May He take you on a journey that you will never be able to imagine. The joy of the Lord is your strength. God bless you.
PE is the friendly windy city always ❤. Im a jozi member but in SA it is our blood in "ubuntu" always. Welcome ek se lol. Aweh aweh. Make the circle bigger!!! 🎉
As a South-African learning japanese, that second channel was very intimidating - but gives me more drive to continue!
No Emi, you are a flippen legend, I pray to have as much faith as you do
Thank you for sharing your story, that's a really amazing testimony. I'm so glad that you have found a second home here in South Africa! Also your videos are always so well edited and the comedic timing is always on point, so it makes sense that you are studying video editing.
🙏🏼❤️
I love your aura 😊. As a South African whose dream to move to Canada 🇨🇦 I don’t know how to feel that you chose SA over it😅. Thank you for this ❤. May our Lord Jesus bless you more
lol, tell me about it hey. ultimately God a better plan for her.
Ask a Canadian if they'd recommend moving to Cananda ... they'll tell you hell no
Please be very careful about going to Canada, it's becoming a hell hole. People are leaving in droves.
Eish, so amazing to hear that you are a sister in Christ! May the path that the Lord has led you on be constantly lit up by His presence. Bless you for your obedience too! イエスの名によって、アーメン!
So flipping lekker that you came to ZA my bru, you know there ain't nothing like it, right!
We praise God that he sent you to South Africa and placed you in the positions that he has. It's awesome that He has placed you with us. You are a blessing, and you are going to be blessed following what God has planned for you. God has given you experiences that have molded you into the woman that you are, and just know the harder the experiences have been the stronger you are. As the kids learnt this last week, Gods word is Concrete and as we if we follow it we have the blueprint for our live. We love you and wishing the best for you.
praise God for the powerful testimony that's come out of this journey and thank you for your courage in sharing it with all of us! looking forward to seeing more videos from you!
It is one of my dreams to go Japan and to hear you speaking about church in Japan it's a surprise to me coz I always thought there are no churches in Japan...
Teary-eyed when you speak of the Lord. ❤❤❤
Welcome to our beautiful country
Okay but why did I make an audible squeak of excitement when I saw you uploaded another video 😂 love your content Emi and you are an AMAZING story teller! ❤️ so grateful the Lord lead you here friend! 🙌🏻
hehehe thanks so much friend 🥹❤️
Wow, how I needed to see this video today! Thank you for being obedient and faithful and also sharing this with us so we can be encouraged.❤
Hahahaha the yoh! caught me off-guard and the flippen at the end too! I have family that lived in Isle of man and the same accent they had/have came through a bit. SA truly has a lot of flavour. Thanks for the testimony it was wholesome. Glory to God. 🙏
You literally been here why are people saying welcome now? 😭 they are not subscribed!!!!! 😂 luv you bae ❤
Me 😳 at 07:29, watching from Port Elizabeth, South Africa
Great to have you...
While the main purpose of prayer may be to help others, it never demonstrably does that. Prayers benefit only those believers who say or hear them. Prayer gives them comfort. It lets them think they have some control over a situation that may be out of their hands. It’s the last resort of people who have run out of ideas.
This is not harmless. There’s a very real downside to praying. It lulls believers into a false sense of accomplishment. We cannot solve our problems - much less the world’s - through prayer. We often see people with good intentions praying for victims in the wake of a tragedy, but prayer is useless without action, and those actions make the prayers IRRELEVANT.
I have no problem with “prayer” as an act of meditation. In fact, many atheists can tell you the benefit of silent self-reflection. The delusion occurs when you think someone else is hearing your thoughts and acting on them.
To paraphrase the great Robert Green Ingersoll - hands that help are faaaaaaaaaar better than lips that pray...
Well stated!
Thank You Emi for a wonderful posting here :-)
Wow Emi what a wonderful testimony, truly God's thoughts are higher than ours 🙏

Lol, You second-hand South African. "Flippin". I see you've caught on to some local lingo. I'm glad you like it here. I'm taking an into to Japanese Course at the moment. Thanks! I really enjoyed the video. Question: Which church are you talking about? Because I happen to know a church in PE that has ties with a church in Isle of Man...
As a South African living in Latin America, I love your videos! I actually found new Spanish music thanks to your previous post about starting with Spanish again. I especially enjoy Madiel Lara's music. God willing, I hope that I can meet you one day.

Crazy how random it is that I found this video. It randomly popped up and alot of what you said resoonates with a lot of what I've been going through for the past couple of years and what's been conflicting me recently and me needing to rework on my faith. Hopefully things all pan out in a good way. Don't really know what else to say
