Whilst cruising thru Banjo videos I came across your videos. Completely lovely and absolutely mesmorizing. Eventhough your playing Guitar, it make we want to go home and practice my banjo!
Mr.kroos I only wish to meet you some day so that we can just hang out and play in dadgad all day long you actually inspire me to go out and get a double neck of my own and better my performance. Thank you.
You are one of a kind mark. Your music always makes me feel happy when i hear it. Keep up the hard work, oh and maybe get some insurance on those talented hands of yours. Hehe.
I've had this song stuck in my head since hearing you play it on Tuesday in Troy. I guess coming here to listen to it a few times a day isn't helping either. :D
This has to be one of the most incredible things I have ever watched. I have replayed this 4 times so far and going to do my fifth now. Thank you so much for sharing, you are amazing!
Wow totally left me speechless. You are Amazing. Been paying for 45 years and never before saw or heard anything like it. Thanks for sharing your gift with us all.★♫☮Doc★♫☮
Haha nonsense! I love this Ovation! It's so easy to play and I think the plugged in sound is fantastic, but to each his own. Thanks so much for checking out the videos!
Mark, you are inspirational. I know I'll never have the technical skill that you do, but you make we want it enough to work for it! You are a blessing.
Yep, that was me! :D I was actually just telling some friends of mine about how your playing is somehow perfect for both calming the mind AND wanting to rock out. This really is amazing, and I thank you for coming to our school! :D
As a amateur guitar player I must say I am astounded by how you play rather than what. You have a gift brother, hands that other wise would have been used in much more damaging ways. I must say Mark, you are those once in a while artists to come around, so rare in the mass of people these days. Amazing brother, keep it up!
Hey Mark, I just want to say your an amazing guitar player and so inspiring to me as a guitar player myself! The music you make, the thought process that goes into what you do, is literally incredible! I've checked out alot of stuff you do and I just wanna say it's all around amazing! I would be awesome to sit and play guitar and chill with you man! But overall your a great guitar player and are personally a inspiring musician! Keep doin what your doin man!!
Very inspirational. My uncle introduced me to your music on Christmas Eve and I was floored. In my circles I am more known as a "rock and metal" guy, but I have always had a soft sport for acoustic music. And I have a number of musician friends who I have already spread the word to. Simply phenomenal technique. I would grade your musicianship alongside the likes of Michael Angelo Batio and Joe Stump, among others. Welcome to Virginia.
Mark, I just accidentally discovered you and I am saddened I did not a long time ago. You are amazingly talented!!! You do not see alot of full time double neck players. You do not just have it for looks you actually take it to a whole new level!!! Love It!!!
While surfing some Michael Hedges vidoes I accidently stumbled upon your stuff. awesome guitar skills, congratulations :o) ordered a CD on your website immediately. not kidding - my last names is the same as yours, have a look at the shipping address :o)) greetings from germany!!
Really nice! I like you'r taping composition you really have you'r own things in this style of playing... the only bad point for me is the ovation guitar sound :D you deserve a much better guitar :)
Hey mark! Beautiful music, very inspiring. I discovered you on Jamplay, watched the first few videos of extreme folk series. I wanted to ask you, have you ever used the Spider Capo? i was watching the video and love the idea of muting the strings via bandana, and got to thinking with a spider capo you could mute more than just E and A (Or since you use dadgad, D/A lol) you could also set up alot of preconstructed chords for picking through since your options for setting up chords with one hand are limted. just some food for thought, thanks for being a wonderful inspiration!
Thanks, Tom! Yes, I have used a spider capo, and I do use them sometimes when I'm trying to write a new song. I've found that they are sort of a hassle on stage to setup, so what I will usually do is figure out the combination of keys that I would use on the spider and cut a Kyser accordingly. Thanks so much for checking out the videos, Tom!
Cutting you're kyser to match what you made on a spider? Color me all kinds of impressed. Thats why you have so many on your head i assume then? Some have different cuts in them? So innovative. Amazing! I
The Master of the hammer-ons and pull-offs. Holy smokes is this guy ridiculously talented.
Hahaha thank you very much and my apologies for the delayed response 🤣
I saw this in high school like 8 years ago and was stunned. This is so cool and I love coming back to it.

It's nice to see technicality used in a way which isn't wankery. Especially when the big name in folk is McKee.
