This really cracks me up - Capald's brilliant!!- and the accent - people were complaining about his own.... listen to this and imagine this accent as the Doctor's - then, see if you need subtitles.
I didn't think anything was wrong with the Peter Capaldi's accent as the Doctor. Then again, I am accustomed to hearing accents as my mom, especially when her sisters were visiting, had a thick West Coast Irish accent. Peter's accent was very mild as the Doctor. I've never understood why so many people disliked Mr Capaldi as the Doctor. I thought he had the perfect gravitas for role.
CLASSIC !! My first time seeing him in one of his first roles on tv so funny and great acting i nearly fell out of my chair over laughing when i saw the hair style PURE 80s !
"Binky" Capaldi eh , what a lad he is , always ready for a laugh , a pint and a sing song round the piano , and his carrot and cabbage curry is to die for !
+PilencePile His accent is a lot weaker now, but is still adorable. In this, his accent is pure Glaswegian. Very hard to decipher to many. Even some Scottish people can't understand the Glaswegian accent. Love his accent too
Great clip! Can anyone tells me what Peter Capaldi's character says when he hands the chewing gum over please? I've tried subtitles lol. TIA. Edit: also looked at the transcript, it says he said "why not by after this your car I mr." ????
+Sage Emerson As a half Scotsman, I can roughly translate that for you. I think he was saying. To put it in sensible English. "Why are you asking that, you know full well who I am" Hope that helped?
I'm Cornish, so I sorta get stuck on any accent but my own :P my mum is Scottish, so that's why I can understand some Scottish haha There are many accents in the UK, too many for me to count haha And yeah, there are much worse things :P haha
+Alanna M Hi, would you please tell me what he was saying at 01:31 and what the manager and him was talking about at from 02:52 to 02:56? Thanks a lot : )
Don't worry it's just an accent not the language. It's just because you're not used yo hear the accent. The more you exposed to it,it will come naturally easier to understand.
Finally ginger
Lmao
Trial of a Timelord...Capaldi edition
Lol :)

Peter Capaldi is brilliant hahaaa
I love his strong Glaswegian accent here.
Best Doctor Who and certainly best actor out there 🙌🏼
Definitely, he was heavily overlooked as the doctor at first but I’m happy he is finally starting to be regarded among the best doctors.
God, Capaldi is such a honey Xx
Each time I hear Glasgowian it feels like drunk Swedes trying to talk Old English with slight Italian flavour
CLASSIC !! My first time seeing him in one of his first roles on tv so funny and great acting i nearly fell out of my chair over laughing when i saw the hair style PURE 80s !
Peter Capaldi with Matt Smith's haircut!
THANK YOU FOR BEING A CAPALDIAN!!
I'm in the Capaldi Army!
that last line 'I'm fae Paisley' is brilliant. this is soo funny. great writing and great acting.
Aw, he looks soo young!
Capaldi teenager... That's priceless!
Nice Red hair Doctor! so cool!
+KHWendy28 He's Ginger!
"I'm fae Paisley." Best line ever 😂😂
what does it mean?
obrubnik77 that hes from Paisley
Oh, is that what he said?😄😄
Someone should insert the Capaldi clips here into footage from "The Trial of a Time Lord."
So young, so cute 😭❤
I saw Peter Capaldi in blood brothers in the theatre royal Plymouth 1984. Good then too-without the hair of course.
yes I understand...its nice to have seen actors in theatre before they are big on TV etc.
he looks like a funny version of the 10th doctor
XD
"Binky" Capaldi eh , what a lad he is , always ready for a laugh , a pint and a sing song round the piano , and his carrot and cabbage curry is to die for !

well, i think I understood everything in this video... and english is not my native language, so... it can't be so difficult...right?
+PilencePile Me too
Now, this is the "Trial of the Time Lord."
He reminds me of Father Damo Lennon, in Father Ted
"I'll be in n a minuhhh…" "You're not the boss uh maeeeee!" "oasis or bloorrr?"
When Peter goes slightly mad
Weird seeing him play a dumb guy
Peter Capaldi could play the devil very well....or in other words, Malcolm Tucker.
The Devil would quiver in the presence of Malcolm Tucker.
lol the hair!
Lol!
💙💙12 as a Ginger!
I can't understand half of what he's saying--, but I'm figuring it out!
The best way to watch this is with the auto generated subtitles on---struggling to decipher that deeply Scot accent!
Lol he sounds the same as he does now

Aye, check
@@BH-98 Thanks, got that bit OK, it's after that, what he says to the clerk with the paper who takes the gum away.
@@BH-98 Just looked at the transcript, it says: "why not by after this your car I mr" which obvs doesn't make sense!
You can see why he got the part of the Doctor
The Twelfth Doctor is rude AND ginger!
does anyone know know where i can get subs for this amazing act?
Ah, the 80's!
OMG it's not a comedy but Pete cracks me up !
Is that the 12th Doctor, eating Jelly babies????
What year was this?
This should be how he plays the Twelfth Doctor.
the doctor tries to act human, channels his inner jamie
What did he say at 0:25?

+Video Games Epic Yes, thank you very much.
Glad it helped. there are some Scottish accents that I can't decipher haha.

What's up with his hair? hahaha and his scottish accent is very strong here, was a bit difficult to understand..
+Siren If there is anything you need 'translating'. I can give you a hand? And his hair is crazy because he is playing a punk like character XD
Since when has the accused been allowed to act like a barrister?
When acting as one's own defence counsel
And not a single fuck was given that day.
Would anyone please translate it for me lol English is not my first language but now I find that I do not dare say that as my second as well...
Don't worry it's just an accent not the language. It's just because you're not used yo hear the accent. The more you exposed to it,it will come naturally easier to understand.
