I read Craig Ferguson's autobiography. He wrights about Peter helping him when his drug addiction was at his worst. Peter would let him crash on his couch while Craig tried to sober up.
Most of the clothes for Twelve were Peter's to begin with or Peter pushed for. On the first day of reading he showed up in a black jumper, that Moffat liked so much he sent the costume team to Paul Smith where Peter had gotten it from and bought a bunch of them which is now the Twelfth Doctor's iconic black holey jumper. Same with the Dr Martens shoes and the Budd white shirt with the longer lapel. :) You can actually see him wearing the black jumper in a vid here of the first read! The jumper itself only showed up for the first time in Last Christmas.
I think he’s got allergies that are annoying him a bit. He’s probably rubbing his nose because it itches or it’s bothering him. Notice how red his left eye looks?
I can't stop thinking that something like Chimerae would be a nice second name for the band... But then, it might've made it successful - and now we wouldn't have such a wonderful actor, a charming TV comedian, a cool art gallery director, and an awesome storyboard artist.
I wonder if Peter remembers the band Pink Pyramid, we played the Rock Garden around the same time, I was the guitarist, I also played at the art school
Kinda. They filmed this series at the Chapel in the House of St. Barnabas, 1 Greek st, Soho, London. It's sort of a culture hub for activities like this, they've got bars and pubs and stuffs.
So sad! This is one of the proofs that the european culture is dying. I wish I were born two centuries ago, when chrurches were sacred places, and Europe was respectful of it's beautiful traditions
Take it easy guys. To me the great thing about those churches is that they're all such amazing works of art. It'd be such a waste if those great works of art couldn't appear more accessible to people. Turning them into these kind of places to honor arts and cultural features is not a bad way to regenerate an old architecture. They're not turning it into a night club tho, they've been playing good music and talking to artists there. Idk, no offence but perhaps I'm not a Catholic after all.
What is this? I mean, Charles Dance (isn't it?) interviewing Peter Capaldi on a stage*. Who arranged this? It does say "Richard Strange's A MIGHTY BIG IF" on the screen above. I could google that I suppose . . . . . . . Well do I feel a fool? That's not Charles Dance at all but Richard Strange himself. I've now gone from never having heard of him to knowing all about him in a few minutes. *When I wrote that, I'd only watched the first minute. That's my excuse.
It's criminal that Craig Ferguson never appeared on Doctor Who during his run.
Aloysius Whiteboat Yeah, Jas Cordon made it...
Aloysius Whiteboat Craig Ferguson would make a fantastic Doctor.
He got close - had a bigger part in an episode of Red Dwarf. It's kind of unrecognizable, especially with the accent he pulls in it.
It cracked me up so hard when I realized it was Craig years afterwards. It's like he's trying to sound like an American used car salesman.
Aloysius Whiteboat Craig wanted to for years but never worked out for the schedule
He has such an affection for Craig he can't hide it
I would too! Craig Ferguson is a low-key literary institution.

Mekrab J so we was the doctor even then
NICE!!!
Mekrab J Craig's book is great. He talks very fondly of peter.
@@WAMMO678 it's also incredibly honest and touching story.
What’s the name of the book?
I already miss him.
The tears welling in his eyes at him reminiscing about Craig XD
Peter is such a wonderful and warm person. :D
Anyone else think he was in costume? Just casual Capaldi clothes I guess.

Titaniacy I'm sure he wore it before then, in "in the forest of the shite".
I would love to get more stories of when they were young, they sound hilarious
Peter: "It's really hard to get a drummer who will stay the course and hang around." I felt that on a personal level, me being a drummer...
I felt it on a personal level, me being someone looking for a drummer lmao
Love Craig. And Peter.
he acts all embarrassed about his band. but they recorded some good stuff, considering the era. he should record some stuff now.
He realised some the other day I think
Awwww this just warms your heart. I knew Craig would be funny in real life too. Just love this!
Hearing him laugh is so so amazing
What a wonderful laugh Love him
Peter Capaldi is my all time favourite doctor!
I love that he delays as long as possible to say the name of the band
He sure does touch his nose a lot in interviews.
kaiserj1982 nervous habit.
What axelf said. Nervous habit
Or a coke habit
I think he’s got allergies that are annoying him a bit. He’s probably rubbing his nose because it itches or it’s bothering him. Notice how red his left eye looks?
Who knows
The bastards from hell sounds like a awesome name for a band if you ask me but then again, I am a metal head.
"Piss off! Go break some windows or something!"
I loved Gregory's Girl!
That's a hilarious story 😂😂
Having an Emergency pound to get home after drinking late Friday night.that’s hilarious 🤣

A coisa mais preciosa do mundo dando risada=perfeição
is that charles dance... with peter capaldi... im confused,, what did they do together :D he would be an awesome master
I LOVE this!
It was bloody brilliant!
I didn't know this side of Malcolm. 👀❤️
😂
The snowfall musta been ferocious that day, lol! 😉😜
Looks so healthy now, those long DW shoots really took it put of him
This is recorded in 2012
This is priceless 🤘
I wonder if Peter remembers the band Pink Pyramid, we played the Rock Garden around the same time, I was the guitarist, I also played at the art school
The area they’re filming in would make a decent Tardis.
Peter Capaldi reminds me of that cool teacher or uncle you only get once in life!
Capaldi needs to cover some of Anti Nowhere League's music.
Love the idea!
Ngl Their songs slap!
Omg hahaha that made my day!!!
His band was good, if they had a little bit more music they'd probably have more fans.
It’s apparent Peter had allergies in this interview. Poor guy.
"Emergency Pound" would be a great name for a band.
Sideways sorta but I kinda wonder just how far that emergency pound would take you today.
Does he always dress like The Doctor?
Is that a church?
Kinda. They filmed this series at the Chapel in the House of St. Barnabas, 1 Greek st, Soho, London. It's sort of a culture hub for activities like this, they've got bars and pubs and stuffs.

The same exact thought ran through my head, msinvincible2000!!!!! Why do an interview in such a holy place? It's still a church after all....

I have read that Peter Capaldi is a Catholic himself?
Who is interviewing Peter Capaldi?
It's Richard Strange. I'd like to consider him as a curator of art.
Thank you Jelly in Distress :-)
@@jellyindistress6593 I thought it was Charles Dance. I'll take another look...

you snooze you loose mate 😉
He even looks a bit like Craig..
A what if, but it is what it is.
What the hell's wrong with his nose?
aperson22222 If you mean how u keeps touching it im guessing it's a nervous habit. He does this in most interviews
Possibly lol
Maybe it was just itchy. That happens every now and then, it's just itchy
His eyelids looked quite red and sore: perhaps he was ill at the time?
Its a nervous tic. He has anxiety issues but hides them fairly well
Best DOCTOR made it his own.Replaced by a female David Tennant wanna be!
So… the nose? Coked up?
The hand gesture at 2:25 is something Craig does
