I love how they mention 2 months of service per month of academic subsidization 6 minutes into the 7 minute video
This whole program is about producing military officers... Of course they're expecting military service...

They gonna get those f 35s soon tho they’re just waiting till it’s good enough. But yea ur right. Hopefully the c8 will take over as the standard. Also they are getting new helmets and ships. Except the ships are gonna come in like 10 hrs
2024 they should get new fighters
@@jackburgess5819 its between the f35 or the gripen e by saab (which I personally prefer) and yeah the navy is getting new type 26 frigates brand new (for a change)
@@aidanbegovic9584 isn’t the gripper 4th gen tho. They’ve put over a billion into the f35 platform
They’re not financed enough to afford to phase out all of the équipement and vehicles u mentioned
"Modern"
Me: Can we please get new helicopters? Please?
Andre villar ouch. Thought the griffons were pretty advanced
@@1anre they're meh,the sea kings (which thankfully are being replace) are usually older than the crew on board, sometimes almost twice as old
Canada military (all 3 branches) are widely known as underfunded...... Blame Mr. Trudeau. lol

When i graduate highschool, my dream is to become a nursing officer. I am already an army cadet. I would love to study nursing at one of the universities on the west cost (UBC, UVIC, etc.). Hopefully i will achive this goal, because if not, I'm not quite sure what else i would be interested in doing.
Em i am it seems like you like helping people and love actions so if you arent accepted you should try becoming a paramedic
HEYYYY! My sis went to ubc. We live maybe 30 km away from there in Coquitlam
How did it go! Did you make it in?
Hello, can you provide us with an update? What happened, are you now a nursing officer in the military?
How do they decide who gets in or not besides the obvious physical and aptitude? The positions I would like to work for are in the Navy and require a degree.
My Dream.
Just like my great grandfather
Going to do it***
Tim Peters Did you already join the Canadian Forces?
Did you do it?
Do they still look at high school marks if you’ve been out of high school for a couple years
So you don't have to go through RMC Kingston to be an officer.
Would there be other requirements for combat engineer officer? And what rank do you receive upon graduation?
Youd be a 2nd Lieutenant. Officers version of a private/od, next to zero real authority, job is basically to finish courses to qualify and then learn from the people who actually have experience and know what they’re talking about.
So just to be clear, you must commit to eight years of military service beyong your graduation date.
It’s 5 years past your graduation date, and up to 7 for pilots.
How old do you have to be to do ROTP? I heard it was 16, and what do you do as a 16-year-old?
If I was 18 I would totally do this... free education? Who gives u that!
I have a college degree and currently at University, speak french and english. Is it dufficult to join the army as an officer, without passing the college officer school ?
if it’s a four year degree speak to a recruiter
@@johnnorth5824 thank you so much probably got confused
@@johnnorth5824 I believe, not only science, but several other undergraduate degrees at any accredited universities are eligible to apply to all 3 branches.
I want to be a medic or a surgeon
u know that they are very different things - and if you don't know - u proby won't be either.
JamesJoyce12 I doubt you have any idea what you're talking about. You sound like the typical PAT platoon failure that can't get the grapes and thinks they're no good.
Medic would require grade 12 biology and chemistry to join, whilst being a surgeon would require you to have a 4 year degree a 4 year medical degree and 3-5 years of residency training in general surgery. (minimum of 11-13 years of school BEFORE you're a surgeon). PLEASE do your research..
Will they look at grade 11 marks when i apply? or just grade 12? my grade 11 average was 80 with a couple very low grades. Will that affect my admission?
Grade 11 marks are quite important, as you apply before grade 12 is over with your grade 11 marks. Grade 10 and 9 marks may also be slightly important.
how do you qualify to become an officer and get accepted into the college
To qualify you must meet the academic requirements of the role more info can be found at www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/campaigns/in-demand-jobs.html
Does anyone know if you take the MOST test during the recruiting process or when you do basic training?
You have the FORCE test , idk what MOST test is , might be the same thing?!
MOST test should be done after the CFAT and before basic.
Do you need to be fluent in French to graduate? and if so is the courses there to teach you French?
yes and yes
You don't need to be fluent in French to graduate? I know many officers who are not bilingual.
***** Ok thank you very much :)
They teach you french, and you have to be able to communicate in French, but you don't have to be really fluent, as long as you understand enough. They will most likely place you with a french roommate if you cannot speak french to further ensure you learn french and to help you.
Frost wrong: LtCol is the first rank needing french.
I'm doing it, I looks like the best thing in the world lol :P
You get in?
8 years later
how did it go?
Currently fluent in English Spanish and learning Portuguese. Still need to learn French?
Yes.
It's a required language as a commissioned officer. And you must learn it if you want to graduate.
Ola Jorge tudo bom? Vai aplicar para Oficial? Também pretendo
Is bilingualism a requirement for reservist officers?
It is not a requirement for any officer
Is it still possible to apply for paid tuition and enlist (as opposed to becoming an officer)?
If not are there opportunities to enlist and then work my way up to becoming an officer and going to school during my military career?
Nah u gotta be an officer. But that’s better anyway cause u get payed way more and the studies show that it has higher morale levels
@@jackburgess5819 ah, thanks for the info mate
How good do the academic grades have to be?
Your high school grades probably need to be like 80%
@@evansoutdoors4022 No, 75% and lots of extracuricullar. 80% is mostly for the faculty of engineering.
@@Justin87878 only for 12th grade as well, unless you are applying in 11th

I'm currently in my first year of university, would this still be eligible for me? Even though I want to stay in my current university? Nevermind, I have just got to that part of the video. Should I talk to a local recruitment office for more information?
Did u get it in to RMC? If so did u think their was a lot of competition due to lack of availability?
You can go to any university of your choice too if the degree and major are not available at RMC. You should contact RMC right away.
What about geography?
How do u apply for Rmc?
talk to a recruiter
Contact the admissions office of RMC or talk to your local recruiter.
but what happened if you are already a bilingual
then you get a free period when everyone else is taking french
You take a test at the beigining of the year to see if your already "fluent" enough and if so you have free periods
The French language is not my best language.
Nope. You can live how you want you want but you do not get to rewrite God's word. You do not get to pick and choose. This is Blasphemy and the CAF should know better than to stomp on Christianity like this. Shameful!
