Coast to Coast Iron Butt Challenge on Yamaha FJR1300 - DAY TWO

2529 miles total from El Segundo CA to Jacksonville Beach FL on an Eagle Rider 2021 #YamahaFJR1300 also known as the 50CC ride from the Iron Butt Association (coast to coast under 50 hours) at the end of January 2022.
All I wanted for my birthday this year was to ride. But of course my brain didn’t stop there… I knew this challenge was going to be difficult but I didn’t realize just how much. It took so much effort, I am unbelievably sore, beyond tired, and just plain exhausted from this ride. The temps dropped down to 28 not only the first night but also the second night. I endured 45mph+ wind gusts all through AZ-TX. I worked with what I have, which mean a really small peanut tank bag and my comms for navigation. My Lexin lasted the entire trip with the battery life under 15% when I pulled into the hotel. I was extremely lucky after striking a large cardboard type box deflected off a semi just hours into start and a patch of black ice at one of my gas station stops.
It wasn’t an easy ride, but I’m glad I accomplished what I set out to do. Physically one of the hardest rides to date, and tested my mental strength.
