Just bought a 2013 fjr I gotta thank you for making this video.
I just picked up a MT 09 Tracer (FJ 09 in the US) and am thoroughly impressed with the nifty dash! I've never had so many buttons to play with on my previous bikes. I did read the manual, but this video makes it a lot clearer. Also, the manual makes no mention of the heated grips options in the menu, and I was racking brain trying to find the button to switch them on. Glad I found this video, really helpful.

Very useful video Bryan. When I entered the advanced menu for the first time, I was a little confused (of course I'd not looked at the manual ) to the point where I just left it at the stock settings. So this is great Bryan.

Great video thanks. With everyone harping on about TFTs I actually prefer this integrated and classic design. Still looks really modern. I hate that Ipad style dash that everyone seems to love these days, looks cheap.

Important to note: If going from statute miles to kilometers the bike must be in Neutral. Good to remember at Canadian border.
I was just at a Yamaha demo event and tried to clear the mpg readout so I could see what mileage I got on the FJR. The Yamaha guy said there was no way to reset the mpg readout! I told him that didn't make sense, and he said "I know this bike very well". How do you reset it?
You hold down the reset button
