Sorry if I wasn't clear--I was agreeing that's it's okay to ask. Some comments here said something about it being a Star Trek-only panel/con, and I had to say that DragonCon had all sorts of fandom, and that any one of them would attend any of the panels. The actors are probably happy that fans are interested in their more recent work.
The series Brent was talking about with John De Lancie was The Twilight Zone in the episode Dead run (1986). I remember that because I just saw that episode. They weren´t in any scenes together, but it was fun to discover because we now see them in TNG.
It's also acceptable/welcome to ask an actor about his more recent projects. Also, though it was a Star Trek panel, DragonCon is an all-around con, with pretty much something for everybody.
I've been to Firefly, Farscape, Stargate panels, and it's pretty much an expected and welcome part of the Q&A to ask about the actors' or writers' recent projects. But I think asking about an older project might be a little inappropriate, like say asking Jane Espenson questions about writing for Buffy during a Once Upon A Time panel (unless it's about parallels in characters).
Yes but it's the 25th(or 25 since the show went off I don't know when they started) panel for the show so it makes sense for there to be questions about what they've been doing. Like how one of the first questions was about a game he's in.
true it is, but that doesn't guarantee your particular fandom having its own panel. Like Montreal Comic Con for example. Last year, it had a brony panel, which John de Lancie appeared in, but this year, there wasn't one, so we had to ask anyone who worked on the show at any panel we can or at the autographs booth.
Doesn't matter, this is a star trek panel. MLP fans have their own conventions and panels involving John Delancie that they could ask these questions at.
I loved 🥰 the way she does ST:TNG years ago and loved 🥰 her real life clothes and I think 🤔 they’re beautiful 🤩 on her including jewelry she wore years ago and loved 🥰 her body figure and I think 🤔 she’s beautiful 🤩 and I loved 🥰 her accent the way she talks, she really curses 🤬 on comic cons on stage years ago and loved 🥰 it when she tells jokes and still loved 🥰 her hair style it’s long and I seen her tattoo on her body and I still loved 🥰 her miniskirt she wore with her 1980s gigantico hair style that’s actually a wig and she also wore a headband and I seen her beautiful 🤩 legs 🦵 and her boots she wore years ago when I watched Encounter at Farpoint and I’d give it a amazing 🤩 rating.👍🇺🇸🇬🇧
It really irks me that this person felt the need to ask about my little pony while at a panel specifically for star trek. It doesn't matter if other fandoms do the same thing no one should be doing this because it's disrespectful to the fans that came to the panel to hear more about whatever the panel's about.
Hopefully when he said he would be singing a song in season 4, he didn't mean the 4 seconds of winter wrap up in the premier. "Discord im showering at noon, I reach for the conditioner and ohhhhhhhhh twilight and her friends are here, that's totally how I want to spend my Saturday."
***** yeah that's true as well.. I kinda wish they'd do a one season reunion TNG show... although I'm not sure how or if Picard and the others are mentioned as dead in one of the other shows, but if not, than they could bring back data without any problem
It's what happens when using a flimsy monopod that couldn't support the camera far enough above the audience heads. See my note in the description. Hope you enjoyed listening to it when the visuals were too painful. My later ones for the con were better.
So a pony walked into a bar and whispers to the bartender, “Excuse me, can I have a beer, please?” The bartender whispers back, “Sure, but why are you whispering?” Pony answers, “I’m sorry. I’m just a little hoarse.”
We aren't the only fandom that does that you know. There are people who have asked Delancie at other panels that aren't Star Trek related that end up getting questions about Star Trek. There are Dr who fans that have gone to other panels of things they like and ask if the actor's character is going to come back in the next season of Dr Who. So believe me, we aren't unique snowflakes when it comes to this.
We know that. just some people are interested in the future of MLP and want to ask whoever is present at the time about it, in this case, John de Lancie.
...i wish this person's phone had stopped auto-refocusing... (I assume they were using their phone) The random blurring is freaking annoying... :/ otherwise, great vid! I love these guys on panels - they're always hilarious!
And I get what you mean, but the fact of the matter is he's not JUST Discord he's played other roles hence why he's at this panel. I don't mean to be a party pooper or a killjoy but I still see this as an unnecessary thing to do.
Personally I get people love the show, but we have our own convention for that, I mean if the convention features ponies then I don't mind, but please, if you go to a con (Which may or may not be this one) That has nothing to do with ponies (Other than V/A) Don't start questioning them on it, the whole 'surprise there are adult men who likes a kid show here' is gone
Brent's recollection about David Rappaport isn't quite right. Rappaport did attempt suicide while filming TNG, but survived the attempt. However, coincidentally just before that episode of TNG aired, he made another attempt, and succeeded.
Why can't you just accept it and stop whining? Just because people talk about it in the comments it won't affect you... I mean, they only mentioned it a small amount of times in the video, so it's no biggie. And yes, I KNOW that bronies love to swarm comment sections, but there's no way in hell that they will leave just because you want them too. Grow up, and accept it...
Brent is still as cute as in his Data days. Also the funniest.
i 100% agree
Thanks for the upload. Regardless of the quality, I still enjoyed it and appreciate it existing here ;)
Thank you!
David Rappaport was in "Time Bandits". Willow Ufgood was played by Warwick Davis.

This is a really fun one, thanks for uploading!
No worries. I'm glad you guys enjoyed the video. :-)

Well then.
I think I just died a little bit inside.

Lancie will sing for us?!
Aw I love that guy :D
Also great to see he's on board for more episodes!
Hopefully when he said he would be singing a song in season 4, he didn't mean the 4 seconds of winter wrap up in the premier. "Discord im showering at noon, I reach for the conditioner and ohhhhhhhhh twilight and her friends are here, that's totally how I want to spend my Saturday."
they wouldn't have had any problem bringing data back... i'm mean... they do have Q!
*****
yeah that's true as well..

Any links on John Delancie on Breaking Bad? he was amazing in that
I loved Marina's reaction to John's almost instant popularity in the Brony fandom. "And all this from ONE episode?! Blow me..." LOL! XD
You can just see Troi mouthing to de Lancie, "My Little Pony?"
IKR!? Discord is my fave villian of Season 2!
Nope, I don't do the whole "horse puns" thing that the rest of the fandom seems to be obsessed with.
why did you keep taking the camera out of focus?
please see the video description.
This whole cast is just naturally funny 😂
Camera is so shaky! What is up with the shitty focus checks?!
It's what happens when using a flimsy monopod that couldn't support the camera far enough above the audience heads. See my note in the description. Hope you enjoyed listening to it when the visuals were too painful. My later ones for the con were better.
Alright, let's see power of EqD rolling out.
So a pony walked into a bar and whispers to the bartender, “Excuse me, can I have a beer, please?” The bartender whispers back, “Sure, but why are you whispering?” Pony answers, “I’m sorry. I’m just a little hoarse.”

Sounded like many people at that panel were fans of MLP too?
34:05 Its likely that this is what you came here to see.
Hopefully you've gotten a better camera
We know that. just some people are interested in the future of MLP and want to ask whoever is present at the time about it, in this case, John de Lancie.
Troi's reaction proves otherwise.
My bad. Sorry about that.
This is awesome.
"My daughter is a fan of yours..." I'm calling BS. Closet brony.
Filmed with an Idaho Potato with one eye
...i wish this person's phone had stopped auto-refocusing... (I assume they were using their phone) The random blurring is freaking annoying... :/ otherwise, great vid! I love these guys on panels - they're always hilarious!
I get what you mean, but he is FUCKING Discord the best villains in the show.
Welcome to the internet! U must be new here~
De Lancie is so awesome.......in everything Ive ever seen him in
And I get what you mean, but the fact of the matter is he's not JUST Discord he's played other roles hence why he's at this panel.
I don't mean to be a party pooper or a killjoy but I still see this as an unnecessary thing to do.

Discord going to sing omg omg omg omg omg omg
Am I the 1st brony here?
Personally I get people love the show, but we have our own convention for that, I mean if the convention features ponies then I don't mind, but please, if you go to a con (Which may or may not be this one) That has nothing to do with ponies (Other than V/A) Don't start questioning them on it, the whole 'surprise there are adult men who likes a kid show here' is gone

I enjoyed that too. lol
thanks you XD
seems legit
I love TNG. I love the Actor who played data, as well.
Aww sheeeiitt
i'm a fan, but if Marina would shut up ,it'd be perfect
Brent's recollection about David Rappaport isn't quite right. Rappaport did attempt suicide while filming TNG, but survived the attempt. However, coincidentally just before that episode of TNG aired, he made another attempt, and succeeded.
Look harder.
Damn Straight Son! We bronies are here!
bronies rush?
Inb4 horde of bronies
Nope
