    As a FA woman I agree that the need for intimacy is the greatest need of all and on the other side is the lack of trust and hipervigilance. We struggle in our thoughts. Constant battle between our emotional and logic side although on the outside we try to behave as solid rock what exhaust us to the limits.

      Please look into somatic processing. You think it is thoughts… emotional or logic. That is not it… it is thoughts and sensations.

    I am earned secure mostly now, but I was FA. Somatic processing for the nervous system and vagus nerve work is essential for emotional regulation and self safety. You must learn to be connected to your body to self soothe. fa,s most often are in their head to try to resolve what is happening… self blame or hyper vigilance.…. But the key is to move into your body, observe your sensations and observe your thoughts.

    My childhood was normal. Not like anything described here. Nonetheless, when in a romantic relationship I feel like hands are around my throat. Like its going to restrict my lifestyle, so I jump ship.
