Fermented cucumbers

Sourdough or quick sourdough.
It's the season right now and you can make them and eat them in no time. I always only make these instant kvass, which are ready to eat. You can also make ones that are supposed to last all winter, like sauerkraut, but I've never made those, so I can't say if they actually last.
My husband loves these for that. She just eats bread and butter. So I only love pickled cucumbers and I didn't like the taste of these fermented ones, but maybe that will change someday. It is said that we can all need them, they are said to be a great rescuer :-D

sugar
vine leaves
cherry leaves
dill (flowering, not sprigs)
Depending on taste, you can add horseradish, garlic, pepper, allspice, bay leaf...
