One thing I discovered about Johnny O'Keefe via Wikipedia was his life span was similar to Elvis Presley in that O Keefe liived from 1935-1978. Gone Too Soon sadly RIP.

Del had a magnificent strong singing voice, striking red hair & a vibrant personality. She released 2 singles & was a familiar solo & duo artist on TV pop shows & in live performances. At age 14, Del first performed as an acrobat on the TV show "Sydney Tonight". From age 19, she performed as a vocalist on Johnny O’Keefe’s TV show, first called "The Johnny O’Keefe Show" & then "Sing Sing Sing", from 1961-65. According to the publication Teenagers’ Weekly, October 16, 1963 issue, Del Giuliani (as her name was still spelled there) was signed to an exclusive 5-year contract at Channel 7/Sydney, in 1962, after she appeared on "Sing Sing Sing", the program that replaced "The Johnny O’Keefe Show" from October of that year. She also supported Screaming Lord Sutch's tour in 1964. Del Juliana has gone down in history as the singer who *almost* supported The Beatles on their 1964 Australian tour. Whether she pulled out or was overlooked is unclear, but her place seems to have been taken by Johnny Devlin. Del toured throughout Australia with Johnny O’Keefe until his death in 1978. She also toured as a vocal soloist supporting Chubby Checker, Gerry & The Pacemakers, & Herman’s Hermits. She toured in the "Rockarama" show throughout the early '80's with Little Pattie. She continued club performances until 1990. In 2002, she appeared at a memorial concert for Dig Richards. Del Juliana passed away in Sydney in August 2012.

This is a fabulous clip. Del's voice is sensational - exciting and passionate. I hope to find more of her stuff. She's the perfect partner for JOK in this version of the song. Margaret McLaren was superb also, and maybe more suited to JOK's style later in his career. Great stuff!
