Loved it back in 2011, I got into PC gaming a few years back and was very pleased when I found out they had a PC version. Still one of my faves and I play it every once in awhile.
I loved this game when it came out. I remember playing the demo over and over again in the days leading up to release. Though it is short, it has a very high replay value. Messing around with the leash and kick in each level is always a blast, and (spoilers) controlling the giant Godzilla-like robot never gets old. That being said, $60 is way too much money for a simple remaster. It doesn't look all that different from when it first dropped, and they didn't add anything *that* new. Will definitely pick it up when it's closer to $20 though!
I remember getting this the day it came out for Xbox in 2011, and done completed it twice, then played the multiplayer like no tomorrow. I'll be definitely trying this out again when it goes down in price
I pre ordered this game on the 360 and again on the Xbox one. And then picked it up the day it dropped on the switch. I’d say “I don’t know why I love this game so damn much!” But I’m well aware. It’s the part where the gigantic cog is tearing through the background while your on the platform. That level is hands down, top 5 greatest gaming moments of all time for me.
I actually spent me hard earned money to buy this in 2011...best decision of my life. I had a lot of fun playing this game and I'm glad that they brought it back.
I remember disliking the demo of the original on PC, back when that came out, and I never looked back. - I saw it pop up here and there, but I just rejected it as "not interested". - But then I found there's this remaster, and I now in 2020 I ended up buying it for like 6 Dollars. With the reasoning that, not only is it probably at least some decent stupid fun action in an interesting style and setting, it's also by People Can Fly, who I'll always respect for bringing us (the often overlooked) 'Painkiller'. - And who knows their upcoming 'Outriders' might be cool.
I've played in 2011 and I will definitely play it again! So many great games get tossed under the rug these days and it is nice to see a game being remembered like that.
It should've been like 30 Dollars, 40 at most. - Sadly, it's still 40 Dollars in early 2020... Glad I got it for about 6 Dollars on sale, though. I do have to say, now that I looked at the pricing, it never went above 50 Dollars on Steam and it did drop to 40 in late 2017 already. - Again, just too bad it's still 40, which is too much for what it is.
I love bulletstorm. But. Fps is very bad, price is very bad, making Duke Nukem as a paid dlc or a pre order bonus is like a nail in the coffin. I bought it to support the development of Bulletstorm 2, but honestly is is hard to recommend to anybody until the price drops.

This game had one of the best trailers of all time, a really funny parody of Call of Duty. I still remember my first time playing it and I'm glad it's getting a second chance, I hope it works out and we can have a sequel eventually, because this game is so much fun.
I remember when all my mates bought Bulletstorm I bought Killzone 3. Don't know if I would spend full price on a remastered version, but it's kind of good that it's gotten a second lease on life.
Remy Blas They might look somewhat similar but they feel and play completely different. Bulletstorm is incredibly linear with small tight levels that just go in one direction pretty much and it has no jump button so it feels much slower and more like a standard shooter than doom.
Jeez, people, I'm not saying they're exactly the same, I'm saying it has some similarities (the variety of weapons, the violent takedowns, the graphic style, the fast pace, the monsters, etc) and with DOOM being the huge thing that it is, and this last DOOM being so successful recently, I would have probably mentioned it while comparing Bulletstorm to other games like they did here.
Wasn't there a section that was unpassable if you did some random thing? Like there is a bridge and if you don't do something or you did do something, you couldn't progress past that point?
Regardless of the fact that it only came out a couple of years ago, i paid for it again full price, and I'm having a fucking blast. Sure it doesn't last for ever, but it's such a fun campaign. The Overkill mode that unlocks after you complete the game (which gives infinite ammo and lets you carry every weapon at once) is an awesome feature i don't remember it having in the original. The multiplayer co-op while no where near what you should expect this gen, is great fun with a friend for a bit, and is just an awesome bonus if anything. I'm enjoying every second of this game all over again.
unreal tournament oh yea. that was the greatest, id pay for that. couldn't get it to play on windows 7 but found ut4 works great better than bulletstorm but love em both.
Loved this game back in the day on the X360! I seemed to be the only one who bought it at my school. I remember a girl in my class was really into the Gears of War franchise and we talked about this game. A friend of mine was in love with her and I lent her my copy of the game just to make my friend jealous. Good times.

goodinsrt8 the PMC (Peace Maker Carbine) weapon uses a really fucked up clip but a clip none the less.
Flourikum no, it's a magazine
I really like before you buy. Jake always does such fair analyses and he's an enjoyable host to listen to. The only gaming news channel I'm subbed to.
I'm surprised you didn't compare it to the last DOOM considering how insanely similar they are in some aspects.
Remy Blas They might look somewhat similar but they feel and play completely different. Bulletstorm is incredibly linear with small tight levels that just go in one direction pretty much and it has no jump button so it feels much slower and more like a standard shooter than doom.
Remy Blas Its completely different in alot more aspects too also bulletstorm came our first.
Not really DOOM is a lot more fast pace and has more weapons
Jeez, people, I'm not saying they're exactly the same, I'm saying it has some similarities (the variety of weapons, the violent takedowns, the graphic style, the fast pace, the monsters, etc) and with DOOM being the huge thing that it is, and this last DOOM being so successful recently, I would have probably mentioned it while comparing Bulletstorm to other games like they did here.
Remy Blas yo dude we aren't attacking you sorry it came off that way I just want to have a conversation is all
Full price? 😱
I got it for $20, definitely worth that price.
TheBrutal757Channel I got it at $15.
I got it free from ps+ .... 😜
Wasn't there a section that was unpassable if you did some random thing? Like there is a bridge and if you don't do something or you did do something, you couldn't progress past that point?
can you do a before you buy PLAYERUNKONWNS BATTLEGROUNDS?
still infested with cheating hacktards....basically unplayable
Regardless of the fact that it only came out a couple of years ago, i paid for it again full price, and I'm having a fucking blast. Sure it doesn't last for ever, but it's such a fun campaign. The Overkill mode that unlocks after you complete the game (which gives infinite ammo and lets you carry every weapon at once) is an awesome feature i don't remember it having in the original. The multiplayer co-op while no where near what you should expect this gen, is great fun with a friend for a bit, and is just an awesome bonus if anything. I'm enjoying every second of this game all over again.
The gameplay reminds me of a DOOM 2016 and Destiny mix. Can't go wrong there!
The graphical art style is just like borderlands as Jake said.
Yas
Don't let that fool you the gameplay are not as similar as you think
I loved bullet storm! Bullet heavy mayhem! It was good old fashioned bullet mashing fun.
I'm still waiting for the original unreal tournament remaster
unreal tournament oh yea. that was the greatest, id pay for that. couldn't get it to play on windows 7 but found ut4 works great better than bulletstorm but love em both.
I love how you did not mention the whip you get at the beginning of the game i mean you can see some use of it in the gameplay but only at the end
I love this game but I ain't buyin it again
totally reasonable.
Lucien Lachance ikr, i rather deal with the lower graphics and play it on my 360
I can understand but I will get it
Lucien Lachance i still got the original game
Loved this game back in the day on the X360! I seemed to be the only one who bought it at my school. I remember a girl in my class was really into the Gears of War franchise and we talked about this game. A friend of mine was in love with her and I lent her my copy of the game just to make my friend jealous. Good times.
I disagree with OP, Bulletstorm is fantastic! The Duke Nukem dlc is super funny if you'e already beat the campaign once.
Only just finished watching your clip and i have never played Bulletstorm before, but hey it's on sale on xbox one for £2.99 and youv'e just convinced me to buy it, especially at that price.
