If they do a sequel, They might as well do a full on crossover. Both Franchises are doing poorly. Doing a full proper crossover would be quite awesome and help them both out, and John st John and Steve bloom spouting one liner's together would just sweeten the deal.
Yes pls. And having an optional coop would be a great way to have both running around at the same time. Note, the optional part. Let it be an over the top actionfest first.
Shrinker and Microwave Expander would be fun as hell to use in Bulletstorm. Chaingun Cannon/Ripper, Pipe Bomb, Mighty Foot, Freezethrower, Devastator and Laser Tripbomb would be fun as hell to use too!

I was curious to see the changes but then shortly I learned the Bulletstorm was also taken off the store in favor for another one of Gearboxes "Upgrades" but I think the only thing upgraded was the price tag.
Uh have you actually played Doom? For every weapon you earn you have to purchase the 2-3 perks for either the weapon or the mod and then once you do that you have to perform a small task to unlock another perk to enhance the weapon. Like for instance with the Super Shotgun you have to kill 2 enemies at the same time 20 times and once you do that your shotgun can now fire twice before it has to “reload”. With the Gatling Gun I don’t remember the task you have to perform but for the Chaingun attachment mod you can make it so that the barrel can never overheat and if you combine this with the tune that gives you infinite ammo if your armor is over 100, or 75 if you’ve upgraded the rune upgrade, then your chaingun will fire for days and not ever overheat at all. I’ve even tested this myself holding the trigger for a good 15 minutes or so and it can’t overheat.
How would it make sense tho, in bulletstorm it was to weed out the runts in the squad as they cant upgrade their weapons or get ammo if theyre not killing in high numbers or brutal ways

Gearbox said about it that they don't own the rights to the original version of Bulletstorm, it was the excuse they made for why they update the existing version
sean anderson The PC was fucked from the beginning since the game was using Games for Windows Live. It was also a mediocre console port with stuff like 'Press X' to jump. GfWL alone was enough to sink the sales by a large amount anyway.
Because it pretends to be an old school but it is not. It is Gears-clone console shooter in which the entire action is on rails, zero exploration, alternative routs or even some backtracking - you move and shoot what jumps in front of you, then move forward (and only forward as there is laterally no other way) a bit more and shoot again.
One change Gearbox made that I really enjoyed with this game was the inclusion of a weapon wheel to carry more then just 3 or so guns! I believe it’s found in the overkill mode (I think it’s called that) I believe as well you have to beat the game once to unlock it.
And like fcukugimmeausername pointed out to me in another post, it's actually 5 bucks more to get the Duke part. To the tune of 55 smackers total! What the freakin' heck??? :/ (Well, technically 54.98, but who's counting? Evidently, Gearbox is... :/ )
DrIvanRadosivic "Duke Nukem version of events" is an interesting way of describing a lazy asset swap with the original character's VO replaced with out of place one liners. As for GFWL, plenty of games like Dark Souls, Red Faction: Guerrilla and Bioshock 2 had their multiplayer modes perfectly intact when switching to Steamworks in a _free_ update. In fact, Red Faction: Guerrilla got a technical overhaul much greater than what was done here as well as 4 follow up patches after gutting GFWL. Even if they couldn't offer it free/discounted because EA published the old version, this should have been $20 tops. That's what Darksiders Warmastered costs, which has significantly improved visuals and performance. "Have you considered that the re release is for People can Fly and their Bulletstorm 2 as well as their other projects?" That's not my fucking problem, as a customer I only care about getting value for my money. Arguing this does nothing to change that this is an overpriced, lazy re-release that will only sucker in total retards like yourself.
I'd be interested in this if it wasn't for the price. I think charging full price for a "remaster" of an already modern game is simply unjustified. Did whoever was responsible for pricing not think to themselves "Is the extra money worth it from a consumer's stand point when the original is so cheap now and the additions in the remaster are minimal?". This could've been a really great marketing opportunity for a good game that under-performed commercially to get another go at success with better pricing and maybe offering it for free (or at a greatly reduced price) for people who already own the original copy.
Quick fact: Bulletstorm's original release was pulled from digital sale entirely shortly before Full Clip Edition released, even from Origin. There's still disc copies however. As sweet as it is to have Bulletstorm without GFWL, unlocked config files and a revived multiplayer (Though I'm not foolish enough to think it's going to attract regular players, let alone many), Gearbox really just couldn't stop souring this sweet offering. The initial price definitely places FAR too much value on the minimal changes (Honestly, "reissue" fits the bill far better than "remaster"), which mostly amount to options menu changes (More user options like FOV without a config edit, but less graphics options People Can Fly bizarrely thought we wouldn't want in the menu and not scrambling to the config files to enable/disable/alter), they REALLY oversold Duke Nukem's inclusion (Both in terms of marketing and pricing, when the initial price tag was enough to be considered taking the utter piss), and the now unpopular incident of them partnering with G2A, having a game critic do their homework for them and then promptly "being the extraction process" will certainly make purchases uncomfortable for yet more eying up Bulletstorm. If only a publisher like Devolver Digital did the legwork on this one. On the plus side, UE Viewer can extract the audio files, so I guess one redeeming factor is I can buy Duke Nukem's Bulletstorm Tour, extract the audio data if it works exactly like the base game, then stick all those lines into another game of my choosing like Left 4 Dead 2, so I can enjoy me more John St. John for my unfair buck. Still, I'd dare reckon this version of Bulletstorm is the better one, but only because the config files were opened for us to tinker with without tools and multiplayer's back, a lot of the changes give the impression a patch could've been enough to delivered them, not a borderline full-priced reissue (My region went for £29.99 instead of the RRP £39.99, so lucky UK at least) that still makes gamers find a catalogue of config edits just to turn off motion blur or adjust anti-aliasing, let alone surpass the 100 FOV limit or adjust the weapon aiming FOV. Really puts me on the fence as to whether I should seek a Steam Refund to make the statement this form of re-release shouldn't stand, or keep it as I'd like to make my point that I love Bulletstorm and would like to see People Can Fly give it another go (With a much less incompetent publisher whilst I'm embellishing in foolish optimism).
I immensely love this game I'm 29 and I still play it and fier up my old 360 today . I play a lot of good old games like... red faction half life 2, Manhunt 1 and 2, Gun, ect ect.
Great review, I'm also hoping it'll sell well this time, so we'll have a sequel, I was most astound by the fact it had decent story more than anything. I absolutely adore this is title.
I replayed this game recently and jesus does it hold up well. The pace is incredibly, almost one set piece to the next. Great weapons except for the bowler, and a story that actually had be invested by the end.
I'd been wanting to try this game for a long time and got it for about six bucks on sale and I am having a blast. This is one of the most fluid and fun FPS games I've ever played. I'm doing my first run as Gray, but I'm going to play as Duke down the road because I definitely see myself replaying this one. Here's hoping for a sequel.
Out of all the games I've played, I think Bulletstorm is still the one I want a sequel for the most, I got the Xbox 360 version slightly before launch in the UK because my stepfather knew a guy who got hold of a few copies, and I had a blast with it, I could never understand the reason people hated it other than it uses the older FPS style, which I've always enjoyed more anyway despite growing up with modern shooters. All in all, I think the most modern game I own is from 2017 (I think the AAA gaming industry is dead at this point), I'd still buy a new Bulletstorm game if it was released.
This is why classic games can't be given to devs who don't give a shit. I'm so pissed off at Gearbox, fuck Borderlands, that's all you hear about. Gearbox ruined DukeNukem. For fans of that style of FPS games it wasn't THAT bad but they made it a laughing stock. Everyone loves to act like the game took all that time and ended up sucking. It wasn't being worked on all that time. It was just stagnant, switching hands, etc. This is why you gotta pick a good dev to hand a classic franchise too. The next Duke Nukem (If there ever is one) should be handed to FlyingHog/Devolver(Shadow Warrior) or MachineGames (WolfensteinTNO/Old Blood) But with the shit DNF got for not being that good added with the PC mindset being forced down everyones throat we might not ever get another good Duke Nukem again.
The reason DNF sucked was mostly to blame for Gear box handing it off to another dev team so they could focus on borderlands, the same thing that happened with Aliens: Colonial marines.
+The ghost of Sammy classic Sonic fan, Your username is way too long. But, no don't cut Gearbox any slack. Anyway you want to cut it it's their fault. I asked a guy a know to make the steak for you.
I loved this game when it launched. Some of the most fun FPS shooting mechanics ever. Too bad it didn't do well, same with the remaster. Would have liked to see a sequel.

"I can remember what I had for lunch in 2011." Let me guess - Reuben sandwich? Also I can't wait to see Duke Nukem Forever remaster in my Steam recommendations. Full-priced at that!
I could be wrong but I don't think the Overkill mode was in the original game. You get it for beating the game once and it unlocks all weapons from beginning and give you infinite ammo when you complete the challenge for the weapon.
Wait $40? The Gamestop website is showing $59.99! WTF! I never played this game, but I want to, especially with the inclusion of Duke Nukem, but $60!!! Now that's some bullshit right there my good sir (drinking tea angrily).

Is there a way to switch of the flashy points shieeet? I wanna be violent in a game cause its fun to be violent and not to get points pop up out of there arses all the time.
My only gripe is that they killed Rell and Doc too early in my opinion, they were there for like a half hour and I like them as characters more than some characters in other games that get a full-games-worth of screen time.
Truly even though I don't see much in the future for Duke Nukem sadly but a New Bulletstorm that connects to The Nukem franchise with duke as a supporting character would be cool. Then a actual true Duke Nukem 4 or 5 if they wanna keep on after that.
Hey gggman I found this FPS released in 2010 called Alcatraz, you should do a review of it I heard it's pretty shit so it might be a funny review. Cheers
That's the whole reason why I got this game is so I can play ass Duke Nukem I definitely am a fan of Duke Nukem 1, 2, 3D, 64, Total Meltdown, Time to Kill, Land of the Babes, Zero-Hour, Manhattan Project, Critical Mass, Forever and Duke Nukem 3D 20th Anniversary World Tour and Duke Nukem's Bulletstorm Tour. Yes, you heard me correctly, I'm a big fan of Duke Nukem Forever. I had a blast when I got it back in 2011 and I still do, I thought it was one of the best Duke games and a great sequel to Duke Nukem 3D I don't care what anyone says about DNF, I still have my copy from when I first got it and I will play over and over again. I like all the games that Dukes in, He kicks so much ass. I'm getting tired of people complaining about Gearbox this and Gearbox that, I think that a lot of people just like to complain about BS, Just like people who hate on Alien Colonial Marines. I own that game to and I liked that also, I bet that a lot of the people who hate on DNF and Alien Colonial Marines have never played the game and just trying to hop on the ban wagon of hate so they don't feel left out. I think Gearbox will make a new and improved Duke Nukem game and be successful at it, Randy Pitchford has the right idea of starting with a new design before story for a new Duke Nukem game. I'm glad I'm not the only one who actually enjoyed Duke Nukem Forever and there are other people who defend it, fuck the haters and what anyone says. Hail to the King Baby!!! At least we got Duke Nukem Forever, better something then nothing.
I got this on sale for i think £7 which i thought was fair and having not played it since it was released it was nice to come back, i just hope they make a sequel after outriders
For us in Germany its important that it gets a "remaster" because so we can buy it in first place. The original was banned and the new version (with out the GFWL cancer) can now be bought.
They supposedly added a new game + sort of mode (haven't unlocked it yet myself), and I think the second series of echos is a new thing (though not a big fan of it). Still a hard sell for some people, but I was personally interested enough in it to grab it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed they get enough to net a sequel, but I'm not counting on it. I really wish they just risked making it anyway, 1 million sold isn't too bad for a new IP, especially considering that number doesn't even account for long term sales (that number coming from 2011).
I picked this one up based on your review and I'm curious if you had any issues with this game running in fullscreen? I assume not otherwise you would've mentioned it, but after Googling it I see I'm not the only one. If I run this in anything other than windowed, which sucks ass, any time there's a cutscene the game crashes within seconds. And since there seems to be numerous cutscenes scattered about randomly, that means my game crashes all the time, making it extremely not fun to play. It looks like Gearbox never tried to fix this problem either, which a surprising number of people seem to be having. At this point I don't even feel like playing it anymore, I'm only like an hour in and it legit JUST crashed again, so I came here to see your review again and leave a comment.
Another good review. I bought the game for Duke. I really wish they'd at least redubbed some the dialogue for the other characters to properly fit Duke into a sort of alternative version of the story similar to Frank West's inclusion in Dead Rising 2 Off the Record but I guess beggars can't be choosers for us Duke fans at this point.
best fps of its time since doom, doom2, half-life, sof, bioshock and maybe unreal...liked it a lot and when the full-clip-edition is on sale via steam, i'll buy it! fortunately bulletstorm is now aviable uncut in germany which restrained me from buying it back in the day '-.-

Gearbox is always bad. Borderlands is the only thing they got right.
Damn, 2 reviews in a day? You're off the fuckin' chain, Gggman!
Thanks for the upload son.

Great vid man, Ive been happy ever since subbing sometime back.
Probably my favorite shooter of past gen. Mix of old and new, humor and kick-ass action.
100k subs! Congrats!
Definitely gonna get this, because I never played the original version. But only on a massive sale.
I immensely love this game I'm 29 and I still play it and fier up my old 360 today . I play a lot of good old games like... red faction half life 2, Manhunt 1 and 2, Gun, ect ect.
Kyle McDonald Half-Life 2 should never have been ported to console. It’s a disgrace to the franchise.
Been waiting for this
I'd been wanting to try this game for a long time and got it for about six bucks on sale and I am having a blast.
Gearbox took Duke Nukem, bent him over a concrete block and fucked him senseless.
Then they put him in Bulletstorm
+Slightly Off Centre Line, And I hate Randy Pitchford, he looks like he has halitosis and always has a piece of shit hanging out of his ass.
The thought of Duke saying "Bazinga" makes me want to punch someone in the nose.
If I'm a known chef and you ask me to make you a steak, you're not gonna be happy eating a steak that taste like shit because oh it wasn't me, I was busy! I asked a guy a know to make the steak for you.
this looks like something that would show up on a steam sale for like 15 bucks or less. when that happens I'll buy
Just started playing this in 2023 and it’s still awesome
What about the game Psi-Ops or Zeno Clash (You can find the game for 1 dolar on steam sometimes)?
Psi-Ops isn't on Steam and it never has been
I started playing this yesterday and I fucking love it
you wont regret playing bulletstorm, take my word for it
I love the original bulletstorm it was amazing
This German Version is Uncut, so I will going to play this one.
Can you review Neotoyko? It's free on steam, and is a favorite of mine.
I loved this game when it launched. Some of the most fun FPS shooting mechanics ever. Too bad it didn't do well, same with the remaster. Would have liked to see a sequel.
I got a Bulletstorm trailer for your Bulletstorm review lmao
Bulletstorm failed commerically because Games for Windows Live.
:/ No, it was under promoted and came out around bigger releases for console
@@PrincessNine also controvesial within the game itself duhhhhh??!!!!
@@allancandaza English?
Im playing it now...its so fucking amazing, the graphics are STUNNING for the time and the mechanics are smooth and fun. Great game than you GmanLives i got to know this game watching your vids! i owe you a beer.
"I can remember what I had for lunch in 2011."
Let me guess - Reuben sandwich?
Also I can't wait to see Duke Nukem Forever remaster in my Steam recommendations. Full-priced at that!
Love this game. Playing it again tonight.
At first, when they added "Duke Nukem" in Bullestorm, I thought it was going to have new Missions, or a bonus Campaign. I'm a bit disappointed
I love how Gearbox doesn't even try to come up with a new Duke Nukem catchphrase, and just keep reusing the old tired bubblegum line from They Live.
It would be a best bet to wait for the game to go on sale, then purchase it.
I could be wrong but I don't think the Overkill mode was in the original game.
You get it for beating the game once and it unlocks all weapons from beginning and give you infinite ammo when you complete the challenge for the weapon.
This and your next most recent review haven't been in my sub-box! Just a heads up
I really loved the original and hoped for a sequel since I played trough it but There never was one :(
Wait $40? The Gamestop website is showing $59.99! WTF! I never played this game, but I want to, especially with the inclusion of Duke Nukem, but $60!!! Now that's some bullshit right there my good sir (drinking tea angrily).
Stop supporting gamestop for fucks sake! They are just like G2A, they are legal criminals. In other words they are parasites to game companies and consumer alike!
I can only visualize Gggman eating reuben sandwiches every day since 2011.
I am running this on ps pro and on an ultra 4k tv with no picture issues or crashes so far.
rehashes and remasters. Amazing next gen gaming.
*current gen
Vlaka nothing new, this kind of thing goes on since the 16-bit era.
thats been the circle jerk for the last 3 years boy
46 plebs thumbed up
That thumbnail though, just had to comment.
THE DOOM GUY AND DUKE NUKEM ARE BROTHERS, LIKE SOLID AND LIQUID
*Bulletstorm Advertising*
_Gearbox:_ Dubstep trailers, G2A sponsorship they had to pull out of last-minute
_2011 (original devs):_ Mocked Halo 3's "Believe" trailer, released a short joke game mocking Call of Duty
5persondude how the fuck is this mocking call of duty? They aren’t even in the same category dipshit.
@@JAHomeRenos They made a mock up parody game making fun of COD to promote Bulletstorm
Can you do review for Alien Rage?
I agree! bulletstorm is sooooo underrated.
Apparently the Duke Nukem addition is preorder dlc. Is that an early unlock or is Gearbox really that inept?
Gggmanlives Good Review!
this just makes me want a new duke game
good review but what if you never played the original one is it worth it then ?
Not sure if there's anything you can do Gggmanlives, but your videos aren't showing up on my sub page. I have it set to notify by email when you upload anyway, but I'm sure some don't.
Is there a way to switch of the flashy points shieeet? I wanna be violent in a game cause its fun to be violent and not to get points pop up out of there arses all the time.
Playing as Duke nukem in this game is really funny
man you should review Vanquish.
and shadows of the damned
did the guy from Honest Game Trailers do the voice of Duke Nukem now?
My only gripe is that they killed Rell and Doc too early in my opinion, they were there for like a half hour and I like them as characters more than some characters in other games that get a full-games-worth of screen time.
Is Duke just a novelty that wears off after 30 minutes? I was cracking up when he said "I'm not even supposed to be in this flashback."
Cheers
I'm amazed at Gearbox's ability to constantly fuck up
I had so much fun when this first came out!!!!
That's the whole reason why I got this game is so I can play ass Duke Nukem
I definitely am a fan of Duke Nukem 1, 2, 3D, 64, Total Meltdown, Time to Kill, Land of the Babes, Zero-Hour, Manhattan Project, Critical Mass, Forever and Duke Nukem 3D 20th Anniversary World Tour and Duke Nukem's Bulletstorm Tour.
Yes, you heard me correctly, I'm a big fan of Duke Nukem Forever. I had a blast when I got it back in 2011 and I still do, I thought it was one of the best Duke games and a great sequel to Duke Nukem 3D
I don't care what anyone says about DNF, I still have my copy from when I first got it and I will play over and over again.
More power to you, but there were MUCH better games than DNF at the time.
I got this on sale for i think £7 which i thought was fair and having not played it since it was released it was nice to come back, i just hope they make a sequel after outriders
Full magazine edition* clip is something you put in a bolt action rifle
bought thhis for my Switch today for 15 pounds never played it before but honestly hyped X3
Doesn't this also get rid of games for windows live?
For us in Germany its important that it gets a "remaster" because so we can buy it in first place.
The original was banned and the new version (with out the GFWL cancer) can now be bought.
The weapon wheel is the biggest change
They supposedly added a new game + sort of mode (haven't unlocked it yet myself), and I think the second series of echos is a new thing (though not a big fan of it). Still a hard sell for some people, but I was personally interested enough in it to grab it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed they get enough to net a sequel, but I'm not counting on it. I really wish they just risked making it anyway, 1 million sold isn't too bad for a new IP, especially considering that number doesn't even account for long term sales (that number coming from 2011).
is this a sign that gearbox software is working on a new duke nukem ? between this and World Tour seems like it is.
I'm thinking of buying this just so I can play as Duke.
Please do retro review of ONI.
Another good review. I bought the game for Duke. I really wish they'd at least redubbed some the dialogue for the other characters to properly fit Duke into a sort of alternative version of the story similar to Frank West's inclusion in Dead Rising 2 Off the Record but I guess beggars can't be choosers for us Duke fans at this point.
best fps of its time since doom, doom2, half-life, sof, bioshock and maybe unreal...liked it a lot and when the full-clip-edition is on sale via steam, i'll buy it!
fortunately bulletstorm is now aviable uncut in germany which restrained me from buying it back in the day '-.-
Forrix of sure is Intense
