@@monopolythesecondPBD doesn't like getting cut off 😂 it's about his pride/ego because there was nothing in particular that PBD wanted to debate. His main point was essentially that there's no accountability in government. PBD was obtuse in the way he used generalizations to get his point across. David on the other hand, wanted to delve deeper into the particulars because he felt that it was through taxes and government spending that he is fortunate to be in the position that he's in which is essentially the reason why David didn't want to concede to PBD's point in the first place. And that's precisely the reason why they had this silly argument 😂 if David had said I agree with you then the convo would've moved along or if PBD just listened to what David had to say then the same would've occurred. Neither of them wanted to see things from the other person's perspective 😂

@@MarkAlan-no7mb I think it's because Pakman surfaces the ignorance of your boy pbd. If we're being honest, Pakman is highly intelligent and educated and can catch pdb's hypocrisy.
Appeared Packman was trying to find common ground and have a mutually constructive discussion about appropriate levels of fiscal spending. The other guy was trying to dumb down the conversation into all government debt and spending is bad making inappropriate analogies and gross generalizations.
Exactly this. PBD wanted to have a very surface-level, meme, rather meaningless conversation, David wanted to dig a little deeper. PBD apparently can't do that. And apparently neither can most of his fans.
The simple understanding of what he was getting at is it’s not a single program or policy, it’s the fact that overall there’s no accountability of where the money goes and we keep on falling deeper into debt, while we continue to give our money to the institution.
He wasn't dumbing it down!!! He's dumb!!!! Packman was trying to dumb his dialog down so these complete fools can understand but they still couldn't get it!!! Packman is being condescending once he realizes what fools Patrick and his buddy are. Maga is successful because most people are morons

My roommate in college told me something when we discussed (debated) religion. "it's impossible to have a conversation with someone who has only read one book". It's something I have never forgotten. You can debate someone as an unlearned person but to have an intellectual conversation, you need to be read, or you will be frustrated or just look ignorant.
Exactly! Which is why pbd and his viewed in the comments are so frustrated. David is trying to understand pbd’s questions to find points of agreement/starting points for the arguments he wants to make. PBD tends to ask these very simplistic, anecdotal questions because he seems incapable of big picture, high level thinking. David and PBD don’t think the same, so David has to make sure they’re talking about the same thing first before giving an answer. If you get frustrated during a conversation like this, ask yourself why the person you’re talking to finds it necessary to ask so many clarifying questions. Is there room for you to be more clear, more descriptive, more specific, in what you are communicating? Why are you unable to communicate effectively? I learned this just as a regular person growing in my career and developing my leadership skills. The goal is to communicate effectively so there’s no confusion. If people are confused once I ask a question or something…it means I lack effective communication skills, not that the other person is too dumb and obnoxious to understand! I think that’s something PBD and his viewers in the comments should recognize! Just saying
@MRTallTexan1 Agreed. I realized this when he asked Patrick to specify a program, and he said "any of them." Then he asked Patrick if he had an issue with all the programs and Patrick said "I didn't say all of them." Bruh...🤦♂️
The guest asks the host if he is following so far, the host says yes, and then repeats the opposite of what the guest just said. Then says the guest is saying something he is not. Then is multitasking on his laptop while the guest is explaining the point he just misunderstood. Only one side seemed to be trying to understand and be understood.
So you fell for his fake smiles and sarcastic attitude. He appears he wants to learn more, but when you watch more debates of his you realize he does it in a very ingenuine way. He’ll say, OH, rly? How? Hmmm... ok.... all sarcastically. He doesn’t want to learn he just needs the clicks and gotcha moments. Pat does the same thing but he actually wants to learn and get other opinions. PakMan came 100% armed like for real but he's supposed to bring all these links and everything together? Should he have made a flash drive for him? Because when oboy want something brought up it gets brought up. When anybody else asks for anything to be brought up to make a point, he ignores them.
This is a good example of a conversation most of us have with someone else. Often they can't formulate a thought or finish a sentence, mincing words so they look smart, and you appear without merit. Circular conversations, very frustrating!
Agreed. PBD is 100% convicted in his beliefs, they are grounded in real shit. This other guys lives in fairy land (probably brooklyn, North Chicago or a leafy suburb of ATL) However, I think PBD takes a limited view of government responsibility especially in America. Travel across this country you will see which states have higher tax rates, its in the quality of infrastructure. Look at the Rest Stops. The curbs, the pavement. All that shit is govt money dont forget it. The roads in Minnesota are 100x in quality vs Missouri. There is a reason for that.
Actually the roads in MN can suck due to winter lol But there are high standards there vs other places, and it is due to the tax base. Also public education. Shit fucking matters man, taxes are important.

“Who makes better decisions for your daughter, you or the government?” “What kind of decisions?” “School” “What about school?” This reminded me of when Bill was interrogated for his inappropriate behavior in the White House and said, “It depends on what your definition of the word “is” is”. But the most diabolical thing about this is that he would argue that I’m wanting an oversimplified version of the discussion, and that he’s sophisticated in his higher assessment of the problem, falsely stealing the high ground while intentionally ambiguating the argument just because he doesn’t want to lose.
Just because you agree with Bet doesn't mean he's a good debater or has any idea what he is talking about. Normally the government never makes a decision about WHICH school your children go to. It's a complete hypothetical. In Europe for example, college is subsidized and you decide yourself, that's why Pakman reacted the way he does. It’s called the Motte and Bailey argument fallacy. He has a habit of skipping around every single point and burying his opponent in minutiae. This strategy continually keeps the opponent off balance trying to clear up all the artificially introduced confusion while never being able to directly address the point.
"My willingness to be taxed" is exactly the problem. At some point, you won't have the "willingness" if you give them the power to tax you heavily. They will heavily tax you and spend how they wish no matter how much you oppose it.

The real nail in the coffin for me was finding out about the grace commission report. Not one cent of your income taxes go towards anything you expect that it pays for. It all goes to pay the interest on the national debt. And don’t even get me started on what created that debt out of nothing.

Accountability is the key word. The government has zero accountability. If I don’t pay taxes, I go to prison. If the government squanders my tax money, they don’t face any consequences. They’ll just blame it on something else, and ask for more.
Exactly. Patrick could’ve worded it better. He should’ve said that if all of our tax dollars just went to essentials, or just went to what was promised during a campaign, then that’s one thing. But every time there’s a pile of tax money that gets squandered, and we had no say. People voted for Biden, but his platform didn’t say he was going to put through a multi-trillion dollar Covid stimulus package, which drastically drove up inflation. Or things like Canada’s Trudeau spends money on, like abortion programs in Africa. Stuff like that, NO ONE voted for. Stuff like the carbon tax he introduced, which cripples everyone financially, NO ONE voted for. When these powers don’t spend our taxes wisely, there’s not a lot of options for us as voters, because either we know that all political parties will do the same thing, or we have no choice but to put up with it because we consider the other party to be worse. The overall point being, once these parties are elected, they aren’t really accountable anymore, they can spend the money any which way they want, and there will be nothing us voters can do. No it is not the same thing. What he is saying is that there are "toys" (bad metaphor btw) that we need to keep paying for in order to produce greater benefits in the future. I even held off posting my comment to see if he could recover and there is absolutely no hope this guy is completely lost. The word he needs to learn is ACCOUNTABILITY. Government has none and expects the rest of us to be held to that standard.
The worst are the unelected bureaucrats within the government agencies that make up “regulations” on the fly, that are considered “law,” that fuck up all the time and still retain their jobs, health benefits and retirement benefits. At least elected officials can get removed by voters for incompetence and what not. But those fucks think they’re Gods and Kings.
David uses the word accountability during the interview. Yet I bet he can't give any real-world examples of how the citizen CAN make the government accountable. To give you an example, he might complain about the Catholic priest child abuse scandals. Yet, he probably doesn't know that a child is actually more likely to be abused in the public school. He might respond with the idea that a teacher in the public school would be held accountable, but a deep dive into the evidence shows this is not the case. Add to that the fact that if you find out that the priest in your local church is abusing children, you have the freedom to not go to that church anymore. If you find out that the public school teacher is abusing your children, you do not have the freedom to not send your kid to the public school anymore.
So if we were to utilize PBD’s logic, then we don’t need government at all. By extension, no military, no social security nets, no local government. Every citizen for himself. So, let’s go back to the Wild West. I know David might annoy some folks with his reasoning. But PBD did not articulate his point properly. That’s why it is imperative to give a specific example. Entitlements? Ok let’s discuss what’s the issue? Is your point treat the government as a business? Ok let’s do it, first order of business, we need to ensure profits for our shareholders, as a result, we will utilize these automatic machines and therefore cut our workforce by 50 percent. It is ok it would increase unemployment but it is ok,those folks will become “influencers” Pbd seems to forget that the majority of corporate America wouldn’t exist without government subsidies. Like some comments… the agency or department that gets money and no accountability is the dod. Umm 🤔 surprisedly no republicans and democrats are sounding the alarm about that.
Guys an idiot. PBD screams “Get rich quick seminar CEO” vibes. Like read a book or do some research before having guest that know what they’re talking about. 😂

Alot of people investing on your society like roads and other infrastructures via taxes turn out to be beneficial things for every single individual on that area. So yes people get "free things" that an average individual cannot get alone. What a stupid comment
Bad faith argument right there Pablo. Everyone knows a fraction of our taxes pay for that. And we can all agree on that. So take your stupid comment and try again. You think it's some clever tactic to point out the obvious which barely anyone would argue against. You look stupid

Pakman wasent laughing at anything, he is still the one being laughed at. He was literally asking Patrick to repeat & define every mundane aspect of every questions and/or hypothetical. This is the quickest way to ID a Pseudo-Intellectual clown from a real Thinker. The pseudo-wanna be- intellectuals will keep repeating simple mundane questions back at someone who is asking them a straightforward question or asking an opinion on a hypothetical. They do this to appear like they are so much smarter than the other guy, they were able to even find holes in his questions that rendered them unanswerable. This is usually accomplished by acting like every question posed to them is incomplete or incapable of a proper straightforward answer. This way he never has to admit he lost a debate, when he can just keep saying “the question or hypothetical wasn’t properly defined”. Your either too dumb to notice the obvious , or too tribal to admit it.
No this guest is a moron and is a danger to American society. He says that debt is not a problem, yet hundreds of studies and highly intelligent people have admitted that millennials and gen z will live lower quality lives than their parents. This is a result of debt. We have more available goods and services than our parents, yet we are more poor. This is 100% due to massive government enslavement and waste.
First time I’m ever seeing or hearing Pakman. From this clip,I enjoy his demeanor and appreciate how genuine he sounded. He seems very good faith and sounds pretty reasonable. Respect to them both.
This man is a professional saboteur of reality. The part most of us cannot wrap our heads around is that he is not aware that he is, only because he forces himself to not be aware to claim naivety. There is a classic trope we see in movies when someone says "I don't want to know, because they'd tell if I was lying"... That dialogue happens between him and his self in the confines of his mind.
@Google Sucks Ass He's saying this idiot knows where Patrick is going and purposely acts stupid to ruin Patriks metaphors. He's refusing to step out of his ideologies and reality and claims his perspective is the only perspective that makes sense.
I agree it's almost like Pat doesn't understand that our reputation on a Globe of other countries matters, and that taxes are necessary to run a country.
Patrick Bet-David appears to lack a comprehensive understanding of the national debt. The U.S. government is utilizing Treasury bills, notes, and bonds to support corporate America. Notably, a significant portion of the public debt is held by foreign and international investors, amounting to over $7.4 trillion. The Treasury provides a detailed breakdown of public debt holders in its quarterly bulletin. Currently, foreign and international investors own more than $7.4 trillion, while state and local governments hold approximately $1.55 trillion, and mutual funds account for about $2.84 trillion. Additional holders of public debt include insurance companies, U.S. savings bonds, private pension funds, as well as various other entities such as individuals, government-sponsored enterprises, brokers, dealers, banks, personal trusts and estates, and both corporate and non-corporate businesses.
The host here keeps coming up with analogies that are so child-like that it's basically framed in a gotcha style question. The guest has to untangle the analogy for 2 minutes before getting to an answer. And the questions are HUGE questions. They can't be put bites with any sort of honesty.
Patrick: If you come to me and want to wipe my butt should I let you? David: WTF?! Are we still talking about taxes?... Adam: He means do you want some lunch?

😂Yeah, as much as I saw PBD trying to make a point with that, it was just too funny to think of someone getting more "big-boned" And to any "David"s out there, that big-bone analogy IS supposed to be ridiculous, but without a good metric, the perception of what the problem is will be WAYYY off.
Just saying

Especially when the media is corrupted and twists the message.
Are you talking about government officials? Coz they have gone to prison in cases of corruption charges. Its the prominent bankers who caused the 2008 crisis who have never gone to prison.

Where Pakman fucks up here is that he isn’t positing a example which builds his own point of view, and PBD isn’t playing his game so he comes off as just trying to be combative.

Even though PBD was just using his own weapon against him.
No it is not the same thing. What he is saying is that there are "toys" (bad metaphor btw) that we need to keep paying for in order to produce greater benefits in the future. An example of this is investing in education, which has a high likelyhood of repaying itself in the future and help you dig out of the debt hole
This is not what happened. Context matters. Pakman was making broad statements that didn’t require backing from data. Patrick’s statements did require backing from data

It is ok it would increase unemployment but it is ok,those folks will become “influencers”
