Every time an apologist claims they have undeniable proof it always seems like a 20 year old episode of the atheist experience. They don't have any new ideas, they just keep on recycling the old ones and guys like Forrest come up with new entertaining ways of calling BS on them.

    • @Nerobyrne

Yeah Matt from Atheist Experience is at the point where he gets mad before the apologists even get to their dumb point because he's heard them so often that he just automatically knows the path they're gonna take, and he's almost never wrong.
That's how dumb these people are. They think they came up with something, and instead of researching this they immediately think they discovered something that somehow, millions of smarter people before them just totally missed.
That actually happened to me once, I came up with the idea for an electric motor, went online to research this "new" contraption, and found out it's actually 200 years old ^.^
Maybe it's not actually stupidity, but hubris. Either one is bad though.

    • @neverendingparty1534

The fact remains that ATHEISM is all about the murder of logic/intellectual suicide. Atheism is the equivalent of saying mud, star dust or NOTHING has the INTELLIGENCE, POWER, PURPOSE, RESOURCES & MEANS to produce LIFE, INTELLIGENCE, LOVE, CONSCIOUSNESS & MORALITY, including the human being, plants & animals, including ALL the co-existent DESIGNED bodily systems (circulatory, respiratory, reproductive, pulmonic, digestive, skeletal, muscular, nervous, body (skin), etc., etc.) intertwined in order and co-dependence in the human body and THAT SAME DESIGN seen in MILLIONS of other animals. Atheism = mental illness.

@@Nerobyrne When someone comes up with a new idea, the first thing they should always do is: Check if it's actually new. If it is, the second thing they should do is: Wonder why it hasn't been done before. (RUule number one for engineers, why has noone build this before?). And only once you pass those two tests, THEN you start thinking about your very own new idea.
Of course rule number two does not mean that everything that hasn't been done before automatically has a critical flaw and therefore should be discarded. But chances are if you just found a revolutionary new transport system that is cheaper, faster and less prone to damage than cars, trains, boats AND planes, there's probably a critical flaw in your idea.

Even animals realize that there are laws of physics. You wouldn't see dogs jumping off cliffs, would you? Dogs doesn't need deep understanding of gravity, to realize that if they jump from somewhere high, it will hurt, and the bigger the fall the worse is the injury. Guess biblical people didn't realize that thus they were flying of cliffs, until the Bible mentioned nature's regularity. Guess until than they expected every cliff jump to end differently...

Im from the Philippines so I checked the video, it was empty so I just read the "article" in the description. In his own words (verbatim) below, this sums up what he thinks about the 20-year dictatorship of Ferdinand E. Marcos under which thousands disappeared, tortured and killed. The atrocities and corruption under the martial law imposed by Marcos are fully documented including court decisions and records.
"The thing is, no matter how infamous a family is or a person, no matter how notorious they are for misdeeds, corruption or evil through court conviction-one thing is sure, the court isnt the final arbiter of who is guilty or not. The court isnt the final judicial authority in matters of determining who is evil or not. It would always be God Almighty as final determinant in his jurisdiction and judicial right as ultimate judge."

I grew up in one of the most conservative Evangelical Christian Churches on the planet... Throughout my childhood I had sooo may questions that no one could answer including the clergy... I kept getting sucked back into the church due to my desire to keep my relationships with family and friends... In my late 20's I was an adult Sunday School Class teacher... When I reached 30, I could no longer abide the lie and left the church... I had a close friend that ended up being the head pastor of the Church I grew up in and he asked that we meet and discuss why I left the church... We spent 3 hours discussing it and by the time we were done, I had used the Bible to prove that Christianity was false, and he agreed with me... I used this tactic several times when church people of various denominations dropped by my front door to evangelize... In about 50% of the cases, I had them doubting their faith in a way that they never had before and some outright agreed with me... IGNORANCE!!!

I highly recommend looking into the field of Epi-genetics....
Quite interesting when you consider how it alone would influence the concept of 'binary sex.'
      Added:
To be fair, I wonder how many people arguing for this Binary Sex concept have studied normal Genetics...!
For they would notice the glaring problem with Binary Sex to start with: It isn't a single Gene but several, of which my favourite is Sox-9, that handle the process of sexual development over multiple points as an embryo. The X and Y categorization that a lot of people want to use is the whole chromosomes on which these vital genes simply reside. The fact we have several genes all working together to determine some very specialized tissues... amazing, quite beautiful if you ask me.
I, honestly, think the 'error' rate of around 2% is down right miraculous when you consider all of what is actually going on.
      - Not a biologist, just really really really love genetic expression and how it goes "wrong."

Bc I take classes from people who have PhDs in biblical scholarship and the ancient near east and it’s agreed upon by experts that the Bible is a literary, cultural work put together over hundreds of years-and that’s just the Old Testament, which was canonized 1,000 years after major parts of it were written. It’s not meant to be taken literally, but as a representative of a cultural group’s worldview and legendary past.

They are so mean that they "disown their own sons or daughters all because of their religion)

    • @xen0bia

Yeah it's really weird. I live in a place where nearly everyone has rejected religion or don't consider it an important aspect of life whatsover, and nobody would bat an eyelash at you "coming out" as atheist/agnostic. Welcome to the club they'd say, really. Churches are literally falling to pieces because there's no longer devotees visiting them. You may come across people such as myself who have been baptized by their parents out of habit but are non-practitioners or non-believers. Looking at the US having real issues teaching evolution or sex ed in school is quite concerning. Or overturning fundamental human rights laws based on religious beliefs... It's terrifying actually. The US exerts a lot of influence like it or not, and fringe right-wingers and conservatives everywhere are feeling validated and empowered by all this stuff happening and are coming out of the woodwork to make a living hell for everyone else with functioning brain cells.

    • @LordTails
      @LordTails 2 роки тому +3

@@xen0bia There's also this almost religious reverence around the "right to firearms", the flag/Constitution and conservative figures too by a fair number of people where I live (and I am in a more liberal county in the US so take from that what you will). In some cases it teeters on, if not falls deep into, the types of behaviors you'd expect from a Scientologist enclave or a doomsday cult. I am not even exaggerating. That is the crazy part. The Internet had made it pretty easy for extremists to meet and for people to fall into bubbles. Factor in the lack of emphasis of critical thinking and logic in place in US schools nowadays (basically factory worker mindset), a strong us-vs-them mentality ingrained by our very system, and all this enabling of extremism that has been allowed (ie. certain political leaders not telling fascists to take a hike) you've got a recipe for well what we have. When I say weird I am really underselling it.

This may be tangential, but my favorite mathemetician is Eratosthenes, because he measured the circumference of the Earth 3000 years ago...using the Sun, some sticks, shadows, and math. Then, 3000 years later, we proved he was correct (minor margin of error, only off by a matter of meters), using freaking satellites and lasers. What a legend.

I can't read because my brain read this as "isopod" and I was going "what's an allopod", then re-reading got me "isotape" which confused me even more.
I do hope that you get your isotope and allotrope podcast episodes though. I'll knock on wood for you.
