A few weeks ago I had my very first helicopter flight training… It was awesome! Join me as I step into the world of rotor flying, attempt my first hover, and learn all about autorotation.
This is all new to me, and I’m eager to learn these new skills!
A big thank you to my sponsor Norm Stetson, my wonderful instructor Bjorn, and only the best cameraman Maarten for making this all possible! And of course, I also want to thank my boyfriend Maurits for filming and editing this special experience into a video that I can now share with all of you.

Great video and editing. Helo flying is a whole new world. So much fun. You’re a natural.
Thank you!! I'm having a blast with the training 😁definitely a whole new world!!
@@PilotBambi now even rotor flying - you expand your boundaries step by step! xD
Good seeing you over here Mover.
@@chikokishi7030 Agreed haha
Hello Bambi, Nice channel.
As a former military helicopter instructor I can honestly say as well that not many humans can do that within an hour. You have a natural talent and great aptitude for flight. Wonderful.
She's pilot already so🤷♀️🤦♀️
@@BeMyArt but not a helicopter pilot. It´s definitely not the same. Flying fixed wing is a lot easier.
🙏 what a lucky bird you are! ☺️ 👍
don't always believe what you see or hear,,
We wouldn't be here without women. They are amazing
From a pilot's perspective, this video shows how valuable a great instructor can be. He was very low-key, positive, polite and relaxed and Bambi was as well 👌. Now some instructor's are so hands-on and stressed and the students pickup on that, and they start getting stressed. By the time your hour is over, both instructor and student need a stiff drink and massage to relax and get the knots out of your neck. This was a perfect lesson in training 👌. Low key and positive attitude. Great job Bambi 🙂👍
I flew an R44 a few months ago with an instructor. I am a boat/outboard technician, and i have had absolutely no training whatsoever. It was a gift my wonderful wife bought me. I went from never having been in a helicopter, to piloting one in 5 minutes. That is how good these instructors are. We rented an airspace (under 2500ft) over the southernmost tip of Norway. and i flew around there doing anything i wanted for 35 minutes, before returning to the airport and learning to hover. On the third try i managed to keep it still. I then managed to fly in a controlled manner where i wanted. (The cyclic stick is EXTREMELY sensitive. Try to sit in your chair, and lean your elbow on your thigh while pretending to hold the cyclic stick 30cm above. 1cm movement in your hand is too much). That was one of the best days of my life. Thank you European Helicopter Center. Your instructors are brilliant!
I also have to say that she did an absolutely amazing job!
I'm impressed. I flew helicopters for 27 years. Other than one guy in Australia, I have never seen a first time helicopter pilot hover it safely within the first flight hour. That is awesome Bambi.
Rotorhead99 Gotta love us Aussies 😉
Rotorhead99 me neither. But I’ll just blame it on how the R44 is so easy to handle.
Would have been a different story in an R-22. Bigger=more stability. They say if you can fly an R-22, you can fly anything. I bet the R-66 is even easier.
Meh, Aussies are ok pilots. Go to NZ for the elite helicopter pilots. They are insanely skilled
Demon Got Me - great comment and true. R22 is a beast to control
Some got it,and some don't. Bambi has it. She's a natural talent, it's in her blood. Great job, Bambi 👍😎
Proud of you girl. 😉
13:43 the instructor was in awe by your natural ability, that's so awesome. Nice work.
Planes are cool and all but helicopters are on a different level. Hats off to the inventors of the helicopter.
he's a fantastic instructor. extremely easy going
I was thinking the same. Best attitude you could hope for in an instructor. They also got along so well it was really fun to watch. =)
Most instructors in that sector are. Mine let me fly all the time during my initiation flight. He told me i am a natural. I really want to hover
I've watched more than a few "first heli flight" videos, and even where the student is performing "less than optimally", they have all been very relaxed and easy-going in terms of attitude, but they are not at all hesitant to step in and assume control if need be. I have a feeling that that is pretty much a required attribute for an instructor.
I must say, however, that they must be *quite* confident in their abilities to recover, and do so before the situation gets out of hand.
Kudos to Pilot Bambi- that was an incredible performance for your first heli flight!
@@WorivpuqloDMogh In my experience, that's the Dutch in a nutshell! Easygoing, friendly, and unflappable.
@@steviewonder9209 very much so inderdeed.
The best thing is Pilot Bambi's smile while flying ✈ ❤
Captain Zakaria
This is the one thing that you will notice about anybody stepping out of a helicopter: the angle of the mouth is very close to the earlobes! And it will stay there for a while.
Great job for a first time.
I agree, she has a magnetic smile and personaility
@@berndheiden7630 ,
It's more akin to "Perma-Grin"? lol.
@@mtech1961 so true! xD
Simp
Reminded me of my first time. My instructor told me that he would expect the coordination I showed after 8 to 10 h from students. We agreed that I had two things going for me:
1: I am a dentist and have very intricate hand eye coordination when using a 400.000 Rpm turbine drill to prep teeth and
2: I have been a drummer since my high school time and have hands and feet absolutely independent of each other!
With a heli you don‘t fly as high and usually not that far as with a fixed wing, but the fun factor is awesome!
How many times have you been to Sturgis?
I work in the helicopter business since 20 years and I know about the challenges of helicopter flying, especially in the beginning and concerning "taxying" and hovering. Your performance in these flight regimes during your first !! flight hour was extraordinary, Bambi, really impressive !! :)
Hovering is all about anticipation. Knowing what to expect when you make a stick or cyclic movement and how that translates during a hover. You did real well for a first time flight.
This is my first time on this channel and I have to say, I enjoyed it. I'm very impressed with your flying, Bambi, if this is your first time in the pilot's seat, I'm even more impressed. Usually, first timers are a bundle of nerves but if you were nervous you hid it well. Think I'm going to leave a thumbs up, subscribe, and click on the bell, I'd love to see more of your 'adventures' in a rotor craft. Thank's for sharing. BTW, I feel the same as many other commenters, there should be more of the female persuasion in Helis and all flying craft, full and R/C, keep up the fun!
WOW !! This gives me HOPE, Lol..What a fantastic first flight ! And Bjorn is the BEST Instructor! What an awesome, chilled, but EXPERT, Pilot he is ! Totally chilled, but you can tell TOTALLY In Control and on top of it at the same time ... And Bambi, you did great, too ! Thanks so much for making this, it really helps those of us thinking and dreaming about doing this, to get an idea what it takes, and encourage us to do it ! ;-) Can't wait to see more ...
You are born to be in the air, whatever wings it takes! Awesome flying!!
Being able to hover a helicopter on the first try surely puts you right in the top tier of pilot skills. I think she might be the best natural pilots I've ever seen.
wow i'm flattered! Thankyou Ryan 😄
@@PilotBambi Hey, I'm very impressed, and I mean it. I felt like I was born with feathers for finger tips, but you blow me out of the water because I know if I try rotary, I'll get it, but I won't get it like you got it for at least the first several hours. You set a very high bar. I do think you might be our generation's Bob Hoover.
Simping?
@@vitaminprotein6878 Absolutely not. Show any experienced pilot this video and let them give you their honest opinion of her skill. Some people are born to fly, and this one happens to be female.

When I had my first helicopter lesson, I was sweating and forgetting to breathe. You seemed relaxed, waving your left hand and pointing, laughing and using the radio. Your glider time has given you an edge and the instructor is great, which makes a huge difference. Go for the helicopter license...you'll be able to fly anything and never be unemployed.
@Herman Spoot You are totally correct, if Bambi gets a Heli endorsement She will never be unemployed ever. With natural abilities to fly a Heli she could pick her type of Heli flying and name her price and they will be lining up at her door to hire her.
How is the employment oppertunities compared to fixedW?
@@RelaxingVibes202 more employment and better pay as fixed wing
I'm a trucker and I've just enrolled in flight school to learn how to take my freight to the air. God bless you, and awesome flight. Thank you for the inspiration.
What school? And how much for the training?
As I have watched your videos, I had a feeling you would make a great helicopter pilot but you seemed to be so focused on building your fixed wing hours. When I saw the title of this vlog, I smiled from ear to ear. You are a natural helicopter pilot as I suspected! Keep up the good work and continue to share it with us!
Everyone else already commented on everything else I would have said so I'll just add this... "Lucky duck"... Was my dream to become a Search and Rescue helicopter pilot. Did my fixed wing PPL 20 years ago on Cessna 172 & 182, got as far as 109 hours and a night rating. Haven't flown in years, got too expensive here in Africa. I wouldn't even be able to afford an hour in a R22. Now I can only fly in X-Plane and live vicariously through VLogs like this. Wish I was in your shoes. Keep it up... and enjoy.
Wow what an episode. I feel like I learned a tiny bit just from watching. Great flying yourself, and kudos to that awesome instructor. What an educator. Cheers and happy flying!
I am so happy to see that a beautiful independent young woman like you has accomplished in aviation..and offered what she knows for others..
She did fantastic first time! Not many people can do that so quickly.
Can't believe this is her first attempt to fly Helicopter. She certainly adapts quick.
Excellent first lesson! Made me relive the time when I was a helicopter fight instructor and before that a student, but 'm always a student even after 22 years of flying helicopters. Great video!
A pilot's license is merely a license to learn!
Bambi, your a natural ! WoW hovering on your first flight, can't believe he let you fly that hole time and Land. You did great !
Had my 2st flight now can't wait to start my training. What an amazing experience and feeling. They're so responsive. 😍Ed every second of it. Much ❤️
I'm Afrikaans speaking and, as you might know, we do have a connection with the people of Europe through the Dutch and the Belgium's, but also from the Germans and French. So, lots of history here and I will follow your helicopter lessons keenly!
This is impressive. I know how hard it is. I was on vacation a couple of weeks ago, and was bored, so I went to the local airport and took a helicopter lesson. It was in a R22 with the doors off. Some of the most fun I’ve had. I only flew .5, but we did a autorotation, and an off airport landing. By the end I could hover, but not as stable as this. I have around 60 hrs, so maybe that helped.
AMAZING Bambi, You're a natural. Keep the videos coming. The instructor is a class act.
Full of JOY ,really. Awesome every moment of this flight was. I like it.I feel like I was also there in the cockpit . Thank you.
Like many, I have more than 25 years in FW and when I asked my instructor "what is learning to hover a helicopter really like ?" he said - " put a marble, a golf ball, a pool ball, a baseball and a softball, on the floor. Then, get on hands and knees and push them all in a straight line with your nose" lol! I've never forgotten that analogy. Later he admitted that was an exaggeration and I could take away the softball. Great CFI, great "Bambi smile" = great video. Can't wait for more of these, safe skies Bambi !
Good job! You always look like you have so much fun whenever you fly, it's so nice to see! Stay safe and well!
WOW, a natural! When I was getting left seat training as a crew chief on a jet ranger in the army there was a China hat on top of the cyclic stick to control landing light. The pilot had a half dollar coin and held it over the hat switch when he was teaching me how to hold position in a hover. He said if you have the top of the switch inside that circle you are good. When we practiced hovering he showed me that he stayed mostly within an inch of travel. I stunk first few times till I felt the movement and instinct kicked in. Pretty soon we flew nap of the earth at 60 knots and it was the most fun I ever had piloting.
Helicopter flight is freedom but it comes at a price. Absolute diligence all the time! No lazy pilots last long.
Same same, the first time that I hovered was on a late afternoon flight. After the flight went home, to bet. Sleep didn't come until about 8 hours later. Too much adrenaline flowing. Ended up with about 500 hours of stick time, 1500 total time oh-58, UH-M huey gunship.
I've heard so many times it's hard to pilot a chopper the first time, well, it seems you're up to the challenge. Congrats and I sincerely hope you will achieve all your dreams up in the air.
Outstanding instruction, if i wasn't so old I'd be very interested in learning how to fly heicopters. You make it look very simple!
Some of the best aviation content out there! Love to watch your journey.
I’ve got 140hrs rotary (Australian CPL-H)
And I must say that is some natural talent.
Flew it amazingly, only little thing is I’d hold the cyclic abit higher up so you can press the PTT easier. But that is just me.
The R44 Raven 2 is a great Heli, not having a carburetor makes it abit easier. As you don’t have to be paying attention to pulling carb heat., plus the power they have is great when it’s just 2-3 people.
Can’t wait to see your future lessons!
You took to that a lot quicker than I did. Hovering is like juggling eggs on a unicycle while being tickled but once you get the hang of it you wonder why you found it tricky to begin with. Great video. 🚁👌
You got that right, lol.. hovering is like doing the "HOKIE-POKIE" dance moves, lots of little bumps to start moving to compensate, compensating for the input effect to stop, then again as it drifts..all while looking way out in front of the nose 75' or so for attitude/yaw reference, good sight picture for best reference, only using your peripheral vision to the sides to judge motion. This gives you the best "resolution" of movement along with best vestibular balance. Pilot Bambi's secret was probably that the nose of fixed wing forces one to look out there during roundout & flare, looking to the sides or down isn't good reference, head start to successful hovering! Hovering is like a never ending landing! Can't wait to see her take on float flying too someday!😎👍
@Christine Herrington don't give up, flying is a shock to the system initially, just until your body learns to trust the sight&sensations.. like riding a bike, first we fail then we succeed like it was nothing!
@Christine Herrington observation flight..now I'm queasy thinking about orbit after dizzying orbit, looking down gives ya vertigo real quick if your body isn't used to flying, even experienced pilots have to manage it. Also worse when you are not feeling in control(as the passenger rather than the pilot, you are experiencing "uncommanded" sensations..
@Christine Herrington ya, that probably didn't help! "Nervous on a full stomach on the tilta-whirl girl" prank.. a good laugh for everyone if you left them holding the bag, but a little rude if so! If they were gonna make ya lose a perfectly good lunch, they should EACH owe you lunch @ least, or take you up again to do lazy-8's(fun turn, climbing roll&turn, on side @ highest point, then rollout still turning while diving out..repeat..two 180°turns😉) feel heavy, then light, perfectly safe when done right, kinda fun!
@Christine Herrington Go for it if you can! BTW, the video you are referring to is on "Pilot Bambi" channel..she and her significant other are an awsome team, they have a great channel.. and she is an inspiration to so many ladies, young and old, to just be open to opportunities that they wouldn't otherwise participate in.. (like a lady Bush pilot from Alaska who is a pilot of the newer models of the Goodyear Dirigible..)I'm not a fan of gender bias in careers, and look @ the women of VERY early aviation history.. even if only for recreation, flying is worth the effort..it makes you an even better and honest person. Kids can do it, they just have to wait to be of age to hold a licence, you have the advantage of being retired & able presumably to RESEARCH the process and pathes and "shop" YOUR path..life is too short to miss out on your dreams! BEST OF LUCK! Meanwhile I fly w/friends & fly RC bushplanes 😃
I've been a passenger on a same type of helicopter across London few yrs back. What a blast seeing my home town from a helicopter! Pilot Bambi, you were awesome on your first flight! Well Done
I'm a 47 year old man in the US. I've always wanted a career flying helicopters, but I couldn't join the regular military to get my start. I've been a laborer for 30 years and never could afford lessons. I chose to spend my extra money rescuing and caring for unwanted animals. My heart is full of love, but it's a dream I've had since I was 15. I'm so glad to see others get to live their dream! I'll keep just doing the purpose God gave me. Maybe I'll fly in my next life? I dunno. I've got a better job because I give my little ones a chance they never would have and they are so HAPPY!!!!!

I'm a fixed wing pilot, and I got my helicopter add-on rating after about 250 hours of fixed wing. I got the rating in about 35 hours before my check ride. Needless to say, I felt pretty cocky about my performance. But, if a had to compare my first lesson to yours, I'd have to admit that you put me to shame. Really impressive job! I think you found your calling.
HELICOPTER!! Are you kidding? Amazing! Can you say NATURAL.

@Pilot Bambi You're truly a natural and amazingly talented!!!
You've inspired me to finally register for my RPL license ,with a vision of one day obtaining a PPL licence and soar the skies✈🛫🚁
Comparing this to C.W. Lemoine's (Navy Jet pilot, also doing initial helicopter training vlogs) first few lessons. Maybe Bambi's a natural. Maybe the R44 is way more stable than the R22. I'd love to see them do a debrief video.
That was amazing! I loved every second. Great flying, great instruction and great editing. Incredible.
OMG I LOVE YOU BAMBI ... ! You Are such an amazing role model for so many women that think this stuff is impossible for them ... Really Congrats you are Amazing ... Clearly We Love You ... The Aviation World is Very Lucky to Have You ...
Congrats on the first flight lesson. Hope they are going well. We've done a few tours in R44's in the last few months, but would love to be able to start flight training in one
I doubt your instructor sees many first time fixed wing flyers as good as you! You were excellent. He appeared calm all the time. Another first!
Fantastic lesson. Looks like so much fun. Instructor was so chill and Bambi was a natural can't wait to fly 1 day :)
Thanks!! Happy you liked the video :)
I was Always a bit scared to transition from fixed wing to rotary winged aircraft, i was kinda worried about how much of a difference there would be plus, i was comfortable with moving flight and stationary flight did seem to be a little unnatural to me. but after watching your videos Pilot Bambi, i found my confidence returned and i am about to begin Helicopter flight training here in Australia.. Awesome videos, thank you for all your efforts, taking the time to record, edit and post them, we really do appreciate your hard work...Keep the videos coming..
I'm very proud to see this! I am a machinist at Robinson, and it is nice to see happy pilots with our aircraft!
Please dont waste your talent at the Robinson, there are other aerospace companies that will appreciate your skill.
I had a lesson in one of these once, at the end of an hour we were just getting to 'this is a collective and this is what it does'. Goes to show what flying experience gives you on translation to helicopters. Nice vid.
Very impressive. I've gone from fixed-wing to a few hours of rotor wing, and I didn't hover nearly as well as you are!
Wow! You're a natural pilot young lady. Absolutely nice job! Thanks for sharing. from Ottawa Canada
Beyond the obvious, I’m still impressed by the professional filming, and editing. Go Bambi Go!
Better words than mine.
WOW I think that nice lady did SO so well in that helicopter for her FIRST lesson, I hope she keeps it up, and become a fantastic Helicopter Pilot, I'm sure she will.
This was awesome! Helicopters seem like a lot of fun, but airplanes are already expensive enough! Enjoy your training, your CFI seems excellent.
Bambi, You did a great job on your first flight. It will not take you long at all to get as comfortable in the Helo cockpit as you are in the cockpit of a plane. Well done young lady, very well done. I look forward to your next video.
Very good and professional production and content, and a host discovering new aspects of flying with a positiv attitude and talent. Better than TV! ...or perhaps time to go TV!! Keep up the great work you all!
This teacher is amazing. I have had enough headaches with the R44 when I was trying to land on the skyscraper using a flight simulator when I was 13 and gave up. Take off has never been the problem, nor doing a normal landing but landing on a building, the helicopter starts spinning out of control. I just increase the power of the main motor for it to spin up and avoid buildings and sometimes it slows the spinning down or the helicopter flips. I think this is because of wind they say to be careful off at the top of the building. Ah 😓.
Hi Rosita. I am also passionate about aviation. I see you flying small planes and I am very impressed. I am glad that such a beautiful woman is a pilot! This is amazing!!! You are also doing very well with the helicopter. You can see that the machine is listening to you. I must admit that the Robinson R44 is a stable pilot. The instructor is perfect. I am from Poland and with us general aviation is very popular as in the Netherlands. Although I am personally interested in larger machines. I wish you all the best and see you in the sky in the future. ✈🛩🛫🚁
Sweet, you gotta come to Hollywood to fly with us! Great first hover! Took me 6 hours to get it down.
Go girl.. never seen anyone get rotorcraft so quickly! 😎
I started flying the R22 in 1985 out of Helistream at John Wayne airport in OC, Ca. One thing you will never forget is your first required cross country flight. Back then I could rent the R22 for $100 per hour including fuel. Good luck and thanks for posting this video! I also have hours in the bell Jet Ranger and OMG, like a Lambo compared to a VW Ghia. I'm 61 now and only fly my drones. With fpv goggles it is as immersive as piloting a heli but much safer. Liked and subbed!
What a fun video Miss Bambi, getting my PPL for fixed and or helicopter would be the dream of a lifetime come true. One of these days I hope to be in a position to take on the challenge. It also looks like you're a natural in helicopters too! Happy flying adventures
Great job! A helicopter doesn’t exactly fly itself, but you almost made it look that way. I remember when I first tried helicopters in a PC flight sim. I was so occupied keeping a stable attitude that I had little control over position.
Great video of first flight lesson! A lot to do with the low touch/soft touch instructor who instills confidence and making the student less tense and continues to build that confidence throughout the flight.
That was astonishing! You're a natural.👏
I loved my first lesson. I only had full control from the pilot as i operate diggers and fly drones which gives me the coordination. Love to do it full time.
BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT! Thanks so much for this fascinating insight, and now i cannot wait to do a lesson myself! 👍👍
Thankyou so much!!
We did a helicopter ride over the Crazy horse monument. It was a Beautiful experience. Will remember it for my entire lifetime.Love watching these videos also. Thank you
Damn! That looked like a lot of fun (with a bit of stress mixed in ), and it seems that "our Bambi" has the feel for all things that fly ! :-)
Your light touch on the cyclic is a great example to wannabe helo pilots like me! I'll always remember my fixed wing CFI reminding me to not grip the yoke to death, makes a huge difference in your ability to do fine and rapid corrective inputs, arguably most important in a helicopter.
Awesome video, really showed what it's like to get a lesson and was interesting the whole way through!
My congratulations Bambi. You learned your first helicopter lesson very well and rode it so well. I also like learn helicopter lesson from you Bambi
I guess he fell in love in the first flight-minute, just realizing how smart, flight-sensitive and beautiful you are. You are made to fly. Keep doing it and enjoy. Greetings from Argentina
Wow, never seen somebody learn hover that quick. Sure took me a lot longer. I noticed how they call the "pattern" the "circuit". Great instructor, too.
One secrete in rotorcraft flight... is... keep your forearm on your leg... it helps take the pressure off of your arm from freewheeling... this way, baby movements are easier to accomplish.. I’ve flown fixed wing for over 46 years.. rotorcraft for 30... id rather loose power in a helicopter because I can auto into a parking spot...vs my twin needs a par 5 golf hole... if a road or airport isn’t available.. thanks for sharing...
A good point Robert! Makes small inputs more "gaurded" & precice while giving feedback as to where "average center" of inputs are, "trimming" your inputs (better than your whole arm including the shoulder making inputs! Think fingertip wrestling, not arm wrestling!😎)
Francis Conti - I’m reminded about when I was in training... my CFI flew with one finger while I was squeezing the cyclic with a white knuckled death grip... I love rotorcraft and the freedom. I flew a MD 600 recently (c-47 turbine)... from a hover... I pulled power to fly vertically to see what she had... I went through 12,000 and and thought better if it because I didn’t have 02. Rather impressive...
@@visarma9673 Lol, like an empty Huey, probably would have gotten to 15k & forgotten why you had giggles! You were right, you'd get squirrely before the rotor system! I got a serious wake up to hypoxia in the back of a C-172 @ only 10k because I was squatting and moving around awkwardly doing aerial surveying w/2 SLR film cameras..got confused..forgot most of experience in confusion till about 5000', my pilot was awsome even though I FROGGED up the day's work for his contract completely.. I learned an incredible lesson from that! Excess balancing&muscle strain, didn't think logically about cramps & confusion..& getting more uncomfortable/harder to keep balance..hypoxia markers for sure
Items to keep in scan pattern!
Francis Conti do yourself a favor... go to the FAA and find out where the Hypoxia Testing Chamber is.. you even get a goofy blue card that states you went through the exercise. It’s very interesting... I barely made it Six minutes at 28,500 feet.. the most amazing part was... the nanosecond I received a burst of 02? I was back.. good lesson... I would encourage anyone to take a back up bottle of pure O2 with them. Smokers be advised that your hypoxic top of climb should be around 9,000 feet... everyone fly safe...
Francis Conti - I was mostly surprised how fast that sucker climbed... didn’t miss a beat... rather impressive... even at 85 gallons per hour...
Great job! Good sight picture attitude reference skills from fixed wing landing technique show through! If you ever take on floatplane flying, you will be equally successful! Great instructor too! I could sense no pressure and a lot of confidence building, the best! Helicopters are neat, kinda like riding a pogo stick or a unicycle.. all about balance! Thanks for your channel, you are such an inspiration to so many people, young & old, & showing young ladies in the world one more opportunity available to them, if you can do it, they can too!😎🤩🥰 You guys stay safe & have fun during this COVID mess! Last night I was noticing how few ladies were involved in a weekly RC forum that I watch and participate in with a steady group of 60- 100.. it appeared one young lady was joining us, but we were afraid that the chat was just a BOT on UA-cam chat🤔😕was awkward because we didn't want to scare her off.. there are so few ladies into model aviation out there, some individuals, some husband wife teams, but aviation is such an important character and discipline builder. Luckily in model aviation I am seeing more young ladies becoming involved in drones, planes, RC surface, etc.. & its awsome! To see young girls & ladies winning competitions is fantastic! I see even more aspiring and professional ladies sharing & engaging hobby and full scale experiences on UA-cam now! All this leads to more ladies feeling comfortable accessing the aviation fields! Keep the fire alive ladies!😀👍
Haha, great flying, bring back memories of my first flight in r22. Thanks for sharing 👍
Incredible performance for a first flight. Well done, great job
well done bambi. your a natural flyer and congrats to a cool intructor, keep it up bambi for a first lesson it was awsome and i could watch all day long especially with that lovely smile.
It felt so much like I was She💙 Great supper instructor, I’ll come back to check who agrees with me 👍🏻
A very rare occasion when I am delighted to say "Yup! Done that!". After decades of almost obsession with helicopters my amazing wife bought a 1/2 hour flight in an R44. Both she and the instructor were very surprised that I could actually fly, hover and land the thing. (All those hours with PC simulators finally paid off.) I wish I could afford to to it regularly. Still, I have that memory.
Haha...."should I call out?.." ...."nah no need, when the engine starts people start getting out of the way" ......hahaha, come on now... lol.. / great job tho btw!!!!
He's absolutely right.
Can't believe that was your first rotary lesson. Marvelous!
Enjoyed this very much (for the second time 🙂) Have a look at the UA-cam channel Pilot Yellow and the amazing training they do in the beautiful BC mountains. Thank you for making these great videos!
Wow!... your video takes me back to my transition from Commercial fixed wing to Commercial fling wing! I’m as impressed as your Instructor is Rosita! Awesome!
Haha thanks Joe!! Can't wait to get my rotor license, it's so much fun!
Come to the dark side, we can hover... ;)
