One of my favorite game series of all time. I agree with the steeper learning curve that makes them hard to try for newcomers to the hobby. But for OG like me, it's the best landcrawler game(s) of all time. It made me remove Runebound 3rd edition from my wishlist.
3 hours in: "This is a new format, it will make it for a shorter game".

Agreed. Hexploreit is the perfect opengame landcrawler. Once I feel I've had enough of one setting, I open another of the four boxes. It's demanding but rewarding. I won't sell it ever, no more than I sold my first ed of D&D.
IMO Runebound 3rd Edition isnt very good.
First off….I’m KIDDING, but I can’t unsee the dot mid screen. 😂. Great play through, analysis and thoughts. I like this format for the bigger games.
I figured out after that it was a tiny piece of card board that got on the green screen I use to overlay cards. It's not the first time it's happened, but I forgot. It was driving me nuts!!! 🤬

A question: Do you know how to fight the Clockwork Assassin blood collector? His stat is Outlast, but there are no Skills listed on its card to roll against.
