In the viewport display in material settings please add the possibility to make a turn of SSS in viewport material on object. Also what that mean to pin material in the material tag to stick noise on object?
Thank you Elly, always learn something new. Ideally, RS would allow the masking and coloring of Ian's bumps to white based on average height, as it is in nature, rather than either painting them individually or, as you have done, just faking them somewhere else with noise and making new bumps. RS height gradient on an asymmetrical model is difficult to control, though I had minor success using the state node with normal or tangent. If anyone has a better solution for procedurally coloring the model's bumps, please drop a comment.
Sort of a stupid question, but why is it that my 'Color Layer' only has 2 inputs available in the node? However it shows that I can toggle more options in the 'Attribute Window'. But doesn't show.
Hey Ryan, if you ctrl/cmd click the little circle next to that option in the attributes manager it will add it as an input to your Color Layer node. By default in the new version of C4D and RS the Color Layer only shows 2 inputs to save space but all are still available to use. You can also hover the branch over the Color Layer node and then choose the other inputs that way. Hope this helps!
@@MaxonTrainingTeam Many thanks! I was scratching my head around that. Never new that cltrl/cmd click the circles adds/opens up inputs. Starting to use the Node Editor more, after being an advid Shader Graph user.
@MaxonTrainingTeam @itwaselly Btw the scene file of this stream is not uploaded on the dropbox yet. There is currently only the mushroom file. Would be awesome if you could upload the scene as well. Thanks 😊
Great stuff. I'm learning a lot from your tutorials. Many thanks.
This video was a game changer! Thanks Elly!
You are an incredible trainer and I'm proud to say I learned such great things from you. Thank you Elly from America, Utah

This is one of your strongest videos, all are good but this one is great😊
Amazing 🤩
Thanks, that's really help me to learn redshift node

I attempted to do the Color layer hack trick and it did not work. Two levels of color layers.
