- Hi guys!! ♡ I wanted to do a video on my experience about getting the job at Sephora! Before I got the job I searched everywhere about interview questions and watch videos on how others got the job because I really wanted to be part of the Sephora team! Now that I got the Job this video is all about my experience and some tips and tricks on any interview! I literally talk throughout the videos I really hope you don't mind! Awww yay!!! I'm glad that you are getting a second interview! Let me know how it goes! For my lighting I use two umbrella lights and a ring light! I hope that helps!

+lizzyAc Yeah definitely give it a try!! I love working at Sephora and I really feel like the invest in there employees. Ever since I started to work at Sephora I feel like I have learned so much and they really offer a lot of classes and have given me so many opportunities to learn from other brand reps as well! I'm glad you found my video helpful! I love going to Ulta! We don't have it here in Oahu yet! But I've been to the one in California!

My interview went good and I already had a second one the next day which was today but they said I have to wait a week and a half to find out if I got the job. Im so nervous, also she said they might be contacting me by email which made me worried, I think they would only do that if they are telling me I didn't get it?

Did you work in a stand alone store or one inside jcpenney? I plan on applying when I turn 18. I'm 16 almost 17 and I'm counting down the days lol
I work in a stand alone Sephora! But I have to move soon and the only Sephora where I am going only has it in a Jcpennys! So I would have to apply with them all over again! It is an amazing job I can't wait for you to Join the team!! 💙💙💙💙

To work at a Sephora in Jc penny how old do you have to be? I've heard you just had to be older than 16 but on the Sephora website it says 18 but then again that's just for freestanding Sephoras right?

kinda a weird question but here it goes,
i love makeup, i'm good at doing it, i get compliments all the time on my makeup, i have product knowledge, BUT I don't ever do anyone else's makeup except my own!
Do you HAVE to have experience and know how to do other people's makeup or will they show you and train you or maybe just help you along the way?
anyone have any tips? I wanna apply as a seasonal/temporary but idk. I'm scared tbh. lol

CharliGirlToast Hey!! ☺️ thanks for leaving a comment! I was exact position you are in! I love makeup so much and when I first applied I haven't really done anyone's makeup other than some close friends and my relatives. I was really nervous too when I first applied because I really didn't have much experience and plus it was my first job! I was put in as a cashier at first even though I really wanted to be an artist in color. Now it's been a couple of months and I'm an artist in color! I went through color 201 which are guideline and tips about makeup! You get to be on floor helping other clients to gain experience before you can do a full makeover. Then when you feel comfortable you take a certification test on applying makeup on a client to see whether you can do it and follow sanitations, etc. Sephora really invests in their employees making sure they are well trained! I won't lie I was so nervous but I had confidence in myself and I really wanted to follow my dreams as a makeup artist. My best advice would be to go for it! You have nothing to lose and so much to gain! I have learned so much and Sephora is an amazing company to work for! I really hope I was able to help! 💕

I never know what to answer when they ask at interviews how much do I expect to be paid :)
Usually it would be minimum wage or if you are Makeup Artist or went to school for cosmetology/esthetics I would ask for a bit more! ☺️
