1992 is my favorite Jordan. He was in the ultimate balance of physical shape in temrs of his muscle from his workout regiment as well as his vert still being ridiculous. Plus he was just beastly in the playoffs both mentally and physically and he just seemed to float on the court.
1992 Jordan was also so more confident I think. He was finally the Champion. He knew he had the title,he knew he could win it again. That gave him even more confidence that he was the best but also that his team was the best too.As in 1997,I feel, he was much better than he was in 1996 because again he had won the title again and he played with more confidence and he was much more sure about himself
it's nice to meet you and you probably know the 1992 bulls went 15-7 in the playoffs while the 1996 bulls went 15-3 and in the 1997 playoffs they went 15-4
"That did not count" 3:30 may not have counted for 2 but does count as one hell of a VICIOUS dunk. He almost more just "inserts" that ball in the hoop than dunks it. Because of those big baseball mitt hands, Jordan could do this like _this,_ while others not.
When the series tied at 2-2, this game is up for grabs for both clubs and it was at close game throughout the first 3 quarters with the score Bulls 73 Cavs 71. The Bulls overwhelms the Cavs the the 4th, holding them to without a FG for 7 minutes. After this game, the Cavs never recovered from that 4th quarter blowout and that affected them for the next game.
91/92 was awesome and one of my favorite Bulls seasons because of the winning, not saying I didn't thoroughly enjoy watching MJ in 91/92 (I was lucky to have been just old enough to see MJ's being born and raised in Chicago) but my favorite years from MJ was 86/87 to 89/90, he was just unstoppable and the things he did were incredible.
+therealist811 That was his overall individual best season & personal peak prime. The Bulls just didn't have the team yet to contend, and the Bad Boy Pistons were in their prime. It just wasn't the Bulls turn yet.
Jordan A Agree but Id throw 90-91 in there. He still fully had the 80s feathery-grace & hops then imo. 91-92 MJ was still pure cat, but became more strong tiger than gorgeous leopard that season.
yeah but theres different versions of him 86& is flat out unstoppable scorer 88-90 is play maker best defender in the game 91-93 is the total physical and skill package adding long range to his arsenal 96-99 is complete mastery and the best post player ever
obv this is an impossible argument since any MJ from any of his years is a beast, but something about the 92 MJ seems like he's just so much more outwardly tough and intimidating than in years past. he was always a rock and tough, but especially in the Knicks 92 series he showed a lot of outward attitude that you didnt normally see from him b/c he knew his team needed it. even against the bad boys in the 80's I dont feel like it was as constant as in 92; he had a chip on his shoulder i feel...
This series was no walk in the park for the Bulls, but as always they pull it off. Jordan owns Cleveland, he has more points on the Cavaliers than Lebron had his career there.
Jordan was pretty stressed out in 1992 with all the gambling problems and the book, "The Jordan Rules" where he was criticized. You combine all that with Pat Riley's Knicks trying everything they could to drain him, I think it brought out the best in him as a leader and as a basketball player.
@arkade2345 so so true...he was at his top.In 1993 he was also unstoppable but he had some problems with his wrist that made him miss more often. In 1992 he had the confidence of the champion, not only the heart and he had also grew stronger but even with his extra pounds, he could still jump higher than anybody else
@arkade2345 Couldn't have said it any better myself. 1992 was kind of the crossroads. His physical ability slowly declined after this season. When he came back from baseball, he was more mentally tough. Early in his career he relied more on his physical abilities with the jumping and speed.
@andriusssska Jordan had the players in 1991-93 and in 1996-98 to go to distance. That's why he made it and that's why he couldnt do it before.Competition was tougher in the 80s and Jordan's team mates could not handle it.Jordan was as good in the 80s as he was in the 90s.He HAD TO DO more things in the 80s because his team mates could not. In the 90s he was just as good but he did not have to try too much now.Only when needed.
Jack Nicholson at 6:32 all the way in the back hahahahaha. Michael Jordan didn't play that shit of being friendly with actors or people outside his circle.
Unfortunately missing from this video, is the shot of the Luvabulls following along with the beat to the ROCK AND ROLL PART 2 (THE HEY SONG), yes it was interrupted by the NBA on NBC theme but it was still priceless.
yeah, hte game before Ferry punched Jordan and got ejected, so this game was payback. in teh final minute with all garbage players in, Ferry got clotheslined by King on a fast break layup and so after the initial scuffle wore down and King was ejected, as he was walking off the court he just happened to walk by Kerr and poor Steve all of a sudden had King all in his face ready to kill him. I can't believe King is the TV announcer now for the bulls; i still can't take him too seriously!
I feel that the 92 Cavs could've beaten the 92 Blazers. Mark Price was The John Stockton of The East, and had better post players than the Blazers. Blazers only advantage was w/ Clyde Drexler versus Craig Ehlo, but not the monumental advantage of Jordan over Ehlo. Portland had more speed, but Price knew how to slow the game down.
was it in this game that Kerr was about to get into it with MJ i could be mistaken. I know FErry and Mj were about to get into it this series but i remember Kerr about to throw down with someone from the Bulls
MJ made a Fortune off his Air Jordan sneakers, and other endorsements. He never held the Bulls hostage until the 1996 to98 season. One hell of a business Man.I believe he got over 30 mil each of the last 3yrs in the Windy City
jocriss just went on to a site says adjusted for inflation with the CPI index that 3.25m is 5.66m today what an amazing joke jordan today would get $35m in salary and probably $200m a year in endorsements
jocriss no it wasn't. Not at all for pro athletes (even back then) but for one of an entirely different caliber as Jordan, it could have been made a scandal. Only he & media didn't push it. Early 90s Jordan was not in the sports super-star category, he was in the Michael Jackson category.
88's Jordan Just had amazing stats (35.0 8.0 8.0 ) But 1991-93 Jordan has the elavation to led his team to Finals ... So i think Jordan at his best was 1991-93 ,.. Secon 1996-98, and third 1984-90 ... Don't look to stats or dunks, look at the game.
1992 is my favorite Jordan. He was in the ultimate balance of physical shape in temrs of his muscle from his workout regiment as well as his vert still being ridiculous. Plus he was just beastly in the playoffs both mentally and physically and he just seemed to float on the court.
The 1992 Chicago Bulls one of my favorite teams ever
Michael Jordan makes the difficult look easy & to make it worse for us ordinary players, MJ does it with GRACE.
This defense is fucking pathetic lmfao
Nothing or no one can stop 92 MJ
1992 Jordan was also so more confident I think. He was finally the Champion. He knew he had the title,he knew he could win it again. That gave him even more confidence that he was the best but also that his team was the best too.As in 1997,I feel, he was much better than he was in 1996 because again he had won the title again and he played with more confidence and he was much more sure about himself
it's nice to meet you and you probably know the 1992 bulls went 15-7 in the playoffs while the 1996 bulls went 15-3 and in the 1997 playoffs they went 15-4
My all time favorite Bulls team ever

Michael Air Jordan Last Shot Was Straight God Like!!! The Goat!!
mj was at his best from 88-98. nobody could guard him in the post.that fade-away jumper was unblockable.he could get that shot whenever he wanted to.
5:30. The I.Q, the fundamentals makes Jordan the GOAT
I don't care if it didn't count, that dunk at 3:32 was absolutely beautiful and nasty
'91-92 is most definitely one of my more favorite MJ seasons.
Oh no doubt, that was a great yr too.
+therealist811 That was his overall individual best season & personal peak prime. The Bulls just didn't have the team yet to contend, and the Bad Boy Pistons were in their prime. It just wasn't the Bulls turn yet.
Jordan peaked from 87-88 to 92-93
Jordan A Agree but Id throw 90-91 in there. He still fully had the 80s feathery-grace & hops then imo. 91-92 MJ was still pure cat, but became more strong tiger than gorgeous leopard that season.
yeah but theres different versions of him
86& is flat out unstoppable scorer
88-90 is play maker best defender in the game
91-93 is the total physical and skill package adding long range to his arsenal
96-99 is complete mastery and the best post player ever
Watching Jordan play.i can't believe the new age kids wanna compare lbj with the great MJ. You just can't compare his just plain better
obv this is an impossible argument since any MJ from any of his years is a beast, but something about the 92 MJ seems like he's just so much more outwardly tough and intimidating than in years past. he was always a rock and tough, but especially in the Knicks 92 series he showed a lot of outward attitude that you didnt normally see from him b/c he knew his team needed it. even against the bad boys in the 80's I dont feel like it was as constant as in 92; he had a chip on his shoulder i feel...
You are correct...

That was 93 not 92

Put This Game On NBA TV Hardwood Classic On TV
Oh my god, Steve Kerr! Great videos ForEmily
Great memories! Thanks for sharing!
amazing shot at 8:04.
@arkade2345 Couldn't have said it any better myself. 1992 was kind of the crossroads. His physical ability slowly declined after this season. When he came back from baseball, he was more mentally tough. Early in his career he relied more on his physical abilities with the jumping and speed.
8:00 so that's a spin move from the 3pt line for what should have been And1 at the basket
makes it look so easy
@andriusssska Jordan had the players in 1991-93 and in 1996-98 to go to distance. That's why he made it and that's why he couldnt do it before.Competition was tougher in the 80s and Jordan's team mates could not handle it.Jordan was as good in the 80s as he was in the 90s.He HAD TO DO more things in the 80s because his team mates could not. @8:03 WTF?! Against the whole team?!
Unfortunately missing from this video, is the shot of the Luvabulls following along with the beat to the ROCK AND ROLL PART 2 (THE HEY SONG), yes it was interrupted by the NBA on NBC theme but it was still priceless.

That physical 90s defense being played here. 6'9" 250 lbs. LeBron would never survive against these mailmen and Applebees employees
I feel that the 92 Cavs could've beaten the 92 Blazers. Mark Price was The John Stockton of The East, and had better post players than the Blazers. jaboo82681 More so against Drexler than against Jordan for sure.
Craig Ehlo's the Bryon Russell of the late 80s-early 90s.
Pippen famous 2hander @7:51
+Good Comment thought it was jordan, since pippen made the basket.
please tell me who you all feel was the most elite between the 1978 and 1980 sonics along with the 1992 cavs
was it in this game that Kerr was about to get into it with MJ i could be mistaken. I know FErry and Mj were about to get into it this series but i remember Kerr about to throw down with someone from the Bulls
3:20
Jordan was paid by the Bulls $3.25m in 1992
By today's standards there are probably 8 guys on every team earning more
MJ made a Fortune off his Air Jordan sneakers, and other endorsements. He never held the Bulls hostage until the 1996 to98 season. One hell of a business Man.I believe he got over 30 mil each of the last 3yrs in the Windy City
peto2827 $30 & $33 million per
jocriss just went on to a site
says adjusted for inflation with the CPI index
that 3.25m is 5.66m today
what an amazing joke
jordan today would get $35m in salary and probably $200m a year in endorsements
