The sequence with Michael hitting the shot, gets the steal, loses it and chases McDaniel down and knocking the ball away clean says everything you will ever need to know about Michael Jordan
06:00-06:23 Jordan splits through the double team & scores. Then steals the Knicks inbounds pass, gets stolen himself, sprints back down on defense and strips the ball from McDaniel. The ABSOLUTE best sequence of plays I have EVER seen from Michael Jordan! G.O.A.T.!!!
I had that play on DVD and was convinced they probably let him get away with a foul on Xman. I slowmo'd it and enhanced and came to the conclusion that it couldnt have been any cleaner. Ridiculous.
6:01 That sequence pretty much sums up the heart of Michael Jordan, kids. That's why he will forever be the G.O.A.T! 1: He splits the double team defense with amazing ball handle 2: Drives to the basket, pump fakes in mid air and makes the shot. 3: Steals the inbound pass. 4: Gets pressured and loses the ball. 5: Chases McDaniel all the way down the court and cleanly prevents the shot! UN...FUCKING...BELIEVABLE!!!! Show me a video of Kobe or Lebron doing that sequence........... .............still waiting............................. ........Yeah, I thought so!
I came here for 6:00 to 6:22! "Who's game is it? It's Michael Jordan's game!" Best quote by legendary Magic Johnson! Also the best sequence in the playoffs history!!!!
GOAT and he only played 11.5 years. People throwing out that Kareem has better numbers and just as many rings and more mvps. No shit Sherlock the man is one of the greatest of all time and he played 21 years in the league, so I'm sure he'll have better stats. Had Jordan not broken his foot in 1985 and retired from 1993-1995 he would have won more championships. Jordan should have more MVP awards, but the voters just didn't want to vote for him every year because he could have won it nearly every year. Don't believe me LOOK IT UP! The man is the greatest basketball player to ever play and to say otherwise is utterly ridiculous.
If jordan would've retired after that 88 he would have still had a hall of fame career that's how great he was. It's amazing what he accomplished in the first nine or 8 and a half. Then he added 3 more years of winning.
MJ has the best numbers still and better than Kareem or LBJ. Both will beat MJ in terms of longevity stats but those don't mean that much - it's about the per game numbers and MJ is clearly the greatest ever. It's not even close. Once you play 10 seasons or so, that's a career and it's about the quality of play through said career. Nobody thinks Karl Malone is better than MJ but he scored more points as he played so much longer. What is incredible is how efficient MJ truly was as he only played 11.5 actual seasons for the Bulls and he generated all those numbers. What's even more amazing is that MJ's numbers were at their highest in his first 6 seasons which are the best stretch in history in the modern era. But he sacrificed his personal stats at the start of 89 for Phil Jackson and the Triangle which he agreed to for the sake of winning. Imagine if they never brought Phil in and he continued to play without the Triangle? His numbers would be astronomical considering he averaged 37 points in his 3rd season! And finally, he did it when it was much harder to score - if he played today, his numbers would be even higher.
I have to imagine that Jordan (without injury & retirement) and Wilt (without injury and change in playing style) would be the only two people in the 40000 point club, barring the conditions I listed.
Jordan broke everyone's heart that wasn't a Bulls fan. He destroyed my Suns back in '93 when we had Barkley. There just wasn't anybody that could guard Jordan. He'd have 8 rings if he didn't take a break from basketball after his fathers death.
The Intensity of this game was insane!! I remember watching this game like it was yesterday. Man the BUlls just Rammed it down the Knicks throat in Game 7
I remember Mark Jackson proclaiming that there was "going to be a funeral today", as all the Knicks players wore black to Sunday's Game 7..turned out, it was New York's burial.
jaboo82681 He ate his words, for damn sure..but, I actually like Mark Jackson..more than I can say for basically anyone else on that team..fucking bunch of goons.
7:40. On the slow-motion replay, watch Jordan as he spins toward the basket. He is so quick that even the slow-motion replay can't quite capture it. That is speed, folks.
@@lauriemiller3692 Its impossible to sum it up in words, I agree. He was literally perfect at every single skill the game has, and his hustle and sheer determination ive never and still as of yet have seen anything like it, and honestly believe no one will ever match his skill while humans play the game of basketball.
9 second window MJ scores the bucket, steals the ball, turns the ball over and gets a defensive deflection that denies a bucket.....lol GOAT level sequence.
CLASSICS. Jordan going off on the Knicks. Scored on 3-4 guys a couple of times. Nose bled. Pippen wearing a bandaid. Steph Curry, Lebron James and Kevin Durant take notes.
Real physical defense and no FLOPS. Basically NO BLOOD, NO FOUL. That is unheard of in today's NBA. One big reason why Today's top Shooting Guards like Kobe, Lebron, Durant, Wade and others will never equal or top MJ no matter how many rings they win is the fact that all these guys play in the most soft Era of NBA basketball in history.
***** Are you crazy? Watch the early 90s Bulls vs Knicks playoff rivalry and see the type of fouls committed and hardly anyone was ejected. Today's NBA is a joke. Players get ejected for talking trash or mean mugging other athletes after they dunk on them. Pure trash and soft'
***** Funny, you get a technical foul for "taunting", you get a technical foul for "staring" at your opponent or "mean mugging" your opponent. You get a technical foul for wagging your finger at your opponent after blocking his shot or just simply put, the Mutombo rule. Tim Duncan was once ejected from a game for laughing while sitting on the bench. No hand checking on defense, I could go on for ever, bottom line is the game is soft and weak today. Most former NBA players agree, from Jalen Rose to Shaq and Barkely They all agree. Players flop at every single contact that it is painful to watch, it's painful to watch a freight train like LBJ and others flopping to the ground after being bumped by a player half their size. It's soft, if you don't see it, I have nothing else for you.
***** Ok, clearly you are delusional or just started watching basketball yesterday. Players don't flop that much? LMFAO, all that tech stuff doesn't show how soft the game has gotten? Ok, have it your way, there's clearly no point in conversing with someone who thinks flopping in the NBA today isn't out of control, I am done here.
Kanguesso Kang Jordan got tripled teamed hand checked bumped and still scored a ton of points. No way in hell Lebron beats this Knicks team let alone the bulls teams. Lebron is good for his era but would not get a ring in the 90s at all
Kobe don't compare. MJ is instinctive and his body reacts on its own. He is in sync with the game itself. Its amazing. His timing was just on point in ways no player can duplicate. He is the Brucelee of his sport. The top. You'll have other great players. But no one will ever get to the instinctive level and sheer connectivity to the game itself,...like MJ.
Those were wars and that was when basketball was intense, not today's game where you can't even touch a player or it's a foul.I've seen them all and MJ was the greatest and it's not even close.
xBXRxAaron He also got more than his share of no-calls that definitely were fouls. As much as people want to tarnish his game because no one including Lebron has been able to match him and fans from Detroit and elsewhere are still pained by him, the truth remains the dude was the best. Not the best role model in the world, but certainly the best player and probably the best athlete ever, physically and mentally combined.I still think Lebron has a chance to match him because of his unselfish style, but he needs to keep producing, playing and getting even better results.
***** Everyone who knows what was done back then and what is done now knows your statement is false and you are creating the false history. Sports guy should not be your name because you have a false sense of history.
I would pay money to watch that game recorded instead of the last 10 NBA finals live. Good physical 90s nba. Feel bad for kids watching today's game- no learning just all about flash
At 6:00 - 7:15 is a prime exmple of why MJ is the goat. His determination to do whatever has to be done to win. On both ends of the court. Todays so called greats would've let that be a layup for the other team.
Jordan with the spin and the bucket!! Marv Albert and the bulls were legends in the 90's I miss these games. Bulls-Knicks in the old stadium nothing beat this glad I got to witness this.
I still dont know how the hell Jordan always played the best in most important games? I mean the best moves, the best plays always come from his most important moments like finals or here game 7 in playoffs
Great match-ups with the Knicks enabled NY to push MJ to 7 games! Born & raised in Chicago, this 91' - 98' Knicks team was my 2nd favorite 90's era team after the Bulls. I can appreciate NY's "blue collar" determination & work ethic! Only Detroit's "Jordan-rules/Bad Boy Piston's" Championship team gave MJ & Co. better competition from '88 to '91. MJ's inability to hit a curve ball in my opinion, was the best thing that ever happened to the city of Chicago!
Since the introduction of the triangle the Bulls won so many games but when Michael said this triangle is not working at this time he takes over it's insane he's like he has a switch that turns on and off anytime he wants to
These were the real fighting matches in the NBA...it was a pleasure to watch them. Comparing these games to todays matches...no passion today. Bulls-Knicks rivalry rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As i watch these videos it all but reminds me now more then ever how fortunte we all were to be apart of something so rare and special. There will always be comparisons but there will never be another Michael Jordan. You really don't know what you have untill it's gone.
7:33 This the move Kobe asked Jordan about at half court. When you feel the defender on you back thigh, don't shot the fadeaway, spin off and they will fall foward. Beautiful footwork.
Jordan showing you y he came to play every fuckin single ngt and the playoffs when u think dam can someone raise there game any higher this man does jordan the one man band especially the last 3 titles
AMEN!! I wish I could of seen MJ at least in 1080p, not mention in real life! I was just was at the heat v lakers game last sunday, sitting in lower level and im more impressed with MJ in 240p then what they can do today. He IS, WAS and WILL always be the MAN!!!
omfg best sequence EVER from 6.00.. shakes the double, scores, steals inbound, turns it over, chases McDaniels down for the block. Seen 50,000 in Air Time as well.
6:00 - Michaelangelo, Beethoven, Picasso, any great work of art in the history of the world: I would put this segment in with them all! Bravo, Michael Jeffrey Jordan! GOD bless your eternal soul!
One of the many (!!) things that make MJ by far the best is his ability to take his game to another level on command !!! It is as if he had a kind of super-pursuite-mode button he only had to press..... Make MJ angry or give him a challenge.....he presses that button....LaBradford, George Karl, Van Gundy, Alonzo, Knicks, Pistons,Game 7's, Flu, Comebacks. I think if Jordan's body was not wearing down he would come back every 2 years and still win championships. His hunger never stops !!
9:08. Notice how the playoffs and Finals were so physical ? BUT EVEN SO YOU DIDN'T SEE THE PLAYERS flopping ? That's why we, as NBA fans refer today when we say ..today's NBA is weak and full of cry babies and floppers. Those players went through war instead of crying like little girls ,like these players today
chiladin he never lost in the finals. 6 on 6 mvp finals. 10 times scoring leader. and game 6 of nba finals.have you ever seen someone to perform like this in the last minute in the finals??? with that pressure. never.he was the man in his team. Jordan grew up with his team brought it to the win. kobe for me are just two.three the best player of the team was shaq.lebron had to move to miami where there was a great one like k wade.
Jordan played against the greatest players in the world.the majority of them was afro american athletes. I think in bill Russell time there wasnt a lot of black guys in the League and we know why,M.L.king Malcom X they was fighting for a full integration in the Utd states of america society. So in a few words the League was composed by a lot of whities which are not known as great athletes.People never talk about the BIG O oscar robertson,he was huge,I think he s better than Russell than wilt and so on.the goat ok is subjective, but what i don t like is people saying lebron is the goat, kobe is the goat and bla bla bla.about lebron we cant talk noe because he is still in his prime.we can talk about kobe,do u think kobe is better than mike?he s not better in titles,in points(and kobe has been playing for 17 seasons and he has not reached MJ points),hes not better in rebounding,in steals,in assists in defense.. kobe is nearest thing to mike, seems like his shadow. when it counted who performed better than mike? when you close your eyes, and think about mike, kobe and so on which are the highlights of those guys??nothing cant be compared to mike period.maybe magic game six in the finals in his rookie year without jabbar cause he was injured, playing on teh road,he dropped something like 42 p grabbed 10 rb 15 assits and won the champ
no way, kobe more skillfull than mj??cmon, kobe lost two nba finals!of course he is one of the greatest but if you want to be compared with the god of basketball what he did is not enough!c mon Jordan schooled Young kobe in the all star game during 1998 season. 55 against Washington when Jordan was 40 and he was not even guarding him??he was guarded by newble and stackhouse??!! kobe was 24 and Jordan 40! ok,if Young Jordan plays against the Lakers now(kobe 34,not 40) Jordan will score more and more than 60 points i m sure, because mj was all about motivation. you forgot 1996 season, best team ever(72w 10W).kobe was very lucky to play with shaq.jordan playing with shaq?10 rings easily,no doubt about it.I love kobe, when I hear people saying LBJ is better than kobe i laugh.people is crazy.I like LBJ too,and people now say thatdurant is better indiana will beat his ass and bla bla. lebron has 2 other guys nothing.kobe has 5 (but 2 as a team leader) durant nothing. Robert horry has 7 rings but no ene put him in the conversation,so is for bill Russell they dont deserve it! in his early years you forgot kobe struggling in the playoffs throwing airballs in clutch time.
chiladin oh one other thing,im 30, and in 2000 years no one wanted to be like kobe,we all wanted to be like mike and than like my favorite player allen iverson. the answer he was really great and his game 1 in the finals is a game for the ages
chiladin Of course Russell lost in the finals. You're way too young to realize that Jordan was head and shoulders above any player from any era. 33 means you never saw MJ in his absolute prime, dude was a beast! It's not even close and MJ would have destroyed Kobe in the physical era of the 80's and 90's. They had to change the rules of the game because they were worried someone would get seriously hurt after watching teams play so aggressively that today's game is such a joke. You can't even hand check anyone anymore to increase the scoring and any perimeter player has a huge advantage blowing by people. There is a reason why no one likes your comments, it's because they're totally wrong.
Michael Jordan, at 35 and with torn ligaments in his index finger on his shooting hand, shot 46.5%FG in 1998. Take into account he rarely drove and shot an ass-load of fadeaways(very difficult to perfect), i'd say that's pretty remarkable. GOAT
10:05 I love how the Bulls' bench players kept the game going even in the closing seconds. It was like "Jordan hates this team and we hate this team, let's just keep stabbing them so that they never get up"
The sequence with Michael hitting the shot, gets the steal, loses it and chases McDaniel down and knocking the ball away clean says everything you will ever need to know about Michael Jordan
+Michael Crane Determination.

Arguably his best sequence, offense to defense
6:01 That sequence pretty much sums up the heart of Michael Jordan, kids. That's why he will forever be the G.O.A.T!
1: He splits the double team defense with amazing ball handle
2: Drives to the basket, pump fakes in mid air and makes the shot.

5: Chases McDaniel all the way down the court and cleanly prevents the shot!

7:33 This the move Kobe asked Jordan about at half court. When you feel the defender on you back thigh, don't shot the fadeaway, spin off and they will fall foward.
Beautiful footwork.
Jordan showing you y he came to play every fuckin single ngt and the playoffs when u think dam can someone raise there game any higher this man does jordan the one man band especially the last 3 titles
the greatest sequence in basketball history ever can be witnessed at 6:00 to 6:24 jus sayin
As much as I think SP33 is an all time great .. Michael Jeffrey Jordan ... this dude is truly the greatest player of all time.
I really love this matches. Damn Phil vs Pat 🔥
hell, I'm still watching this in 2012! he is still the best! period!
AMEN!! I wish I could of seen MJ at least in 1080p, not mention in real life! I was just was at the heat v lakers game last sunday, sitting in lower level and im more impressed with MJ in 240p then what they can do today. He IS, WAS and WILL always be the MAN!!!
The only athlete that I've seen where his peers we're in Awe of him. Michael Jeffrey Jordan"
Even Magic
LeBron who? Man quit on his team…
Jordan is the prime example of a true great
80s 90s real defense nowadays soft defense
Because rule have changed for example you were alowd to back people off with two hands and now you arent alowd to do that
Jensen James Saoit alot have change. Before there is no flopping, now they are flopping left and right.
He was just completely different from everyone else who has ever played in the league.
omfg best sequence EVER from 6.00.. shakes the double, scores, steals inbound, turns it over, chases McDaniels down for the block. Seen 50,000 in Air Time as well.
Loudest venue I have ever been to ....the MADHOUSE on MADISON.... Incredible game 7 crowd
Great video, you can really feel how into it the crowd was.
When the NBA had STRAIGHT DUDES in it!
That spin move and then reverse on Ewing. Wow.......
6:00 - Michaelangelo, Beethoven, Picasso, any great work of art in the history of the world:
I would put this segment in with them all!
Bravo, Michael Jeffrey Jordan! GOD bless your eternal soul!
1:33 inside to dribble spin move
The greatest doing what he does best.
MJ's the Best.
Michael's god of Basketball. He is a fantastic player, and the best athlete of this sport in old time.
THIS was real basketball. The basketball I loved, with classic rivalries like this. With the best broadcasts too. NBC > ABC/ESPN.
loving the epic fall to the ground @:32. you can hear it so clearly.
You will never see anyone touch the bacsketball court like #23. The GOAT.
This be the sh%t!
If you dont like this you dont like basketball.
Thanks for uploading the entire series man.
90's Knicks were straight goons.
No that title belongs to the Detroit Pistons they were ruthless and unapolegetic
Is it just me or everyone has the same feeling MJ scores every shot he took?
MJ is the GOAT, simple as that---look at his stats and he could have won more had he not left the game for almost 2 years!!!!
chiladin he never lost in the finals.
6:00 to 6:16 damn what an intensity and passion,
MJ the greatest!!
this is why jordan is better than everyone else defense and offense not just offense i havent really seen him choke much
haha the slow mo fuck you from jordan is so good
hahahahaha. 😂 best trashtalker of all time.
hahahahaha. 😂 best trashtalker of all time.
loved this rivalry
Michael Jordan, at 35 and with torn ligaments in his index finger on his shooting hand, shot 46.5%FG in 1998. Take into account he rarely drove and shot an ass-load of fadeaways(very difficult to perfect), i'd say that's pretty remarkable. GOAT
@HonoreT35 Great call. This is one of the only vids I have seen that has so many views and no dislikes.
10:05 I love how the Bulls' bench players kept the game going even in the closing seconds. It was like "Jordan hates this team and we hate this team, let's just keep stabbing them so that they never get up"
Man...... every possession, all you would hear is .............DID YOU THAT??? Still the greatest player to ever play this game in this time !
How about that crowd, huh? Two heavyweights going after eachother! Love it.
Great Stuff, simply the best period in basketball in my opinion, and dominated by the very best in Michael.
