When I started watching you it made me want to do microsoldering. I ordered a stereo microscope and hotair/soldering station. Spent about 300$ altogether with some tristars for 5c-7plus and screens. I have now started a business. Just from watching you. If only it was as easy as you make it look.

I can't get enough of your repair videos. They're so unique with the friendly and relaxed tone, the so instructive contents. Not hiding anything, even the mistakes you make and how you learn from them.
Plus as a non-native English speaker, I do appreciate your clear diction.
Thanks for all the good entertainment and learning the tricks of the trade.

Thanks, Jason for all the awesome videos you stream. Those videos made me more anxious to enter the world of micro-soldering issues you know ics capacitors resistors transistors and etc. But you know the tools are the most important to do so. I do phone and pcs repairs but didn't dig yet in this freaky world of micro soldering. I could use some useful tips you may recommend. Have a nice time.

Nice work ! I ve used Freeze spay since 2011 when i was on debug department in Celestica the manufacturer of BlackBerry smartphones , it was used as a standard procedure for troubleshooting . Got more tips for this type of work used in manufacturing plants . All over Hakko it is used as the main tool for repairs and rework . Rarely i saw JBC , on old manufacturers plants Metcal or Oki.

    Nice Video, great quality!
Maybe a comment/question/suggestion on the Ice-spray method (which was driving me crazy):
Why dont you just use isopropyl or ethanol as an indicator for a hot area?
When it evaporates, it doesn't leave residues and there is no thermal stress for any parts and you don't need much heat to evaporate it.

Great Video Jason It good you show that you do not need a 840 USD Camera to find shorts ( although i do secretly wish i owned one lol ) they use tri-wing screws on macbooks sometimes too but bigger ones :) also your the first person i seen to show concern over the condensation caused by the freeze spray, I have always thought about that being a problem and nice to see im not the only one lol.

Loverly repair jason, it's like nothing ever happened to it :-D
Hope you noticed the psu leads before the next job.
I don't repair phones but i do fix ordinary electronics, the tantalum capacitor is a swine for shorting out and often exploding, the old dipped bead type really go bang!!.
I replace them with a boring old electrolitic, i won't take a chance with tantalum.

If this has been answered already, I apologize. Tri-wing fasteners are not exclusive to the iPhone. I have been dealing with tri-wings for almost 30 years. You find them all over aircraft but they are obviously much larger. It makes no sense either, you have a mix of tri-wings, Phillips, slotted and quads all over the interior and exterior of the aircraft.
