Thank you for your honesty about losing control of the clutter and then regaining it again. It made me feel like I wasn’t such a failure! It’s good to know that it can be challenging, even for the professionals.
Thank you for being normal and sharing that! I needed to hear that it is okay to be not okay once in a while and that I could give myself a second chance and more than one do over.
I've been in awe over your office/craft room since I found you. Now I'm in awe of your super organized kitchen! I'm loving binge watching your videos!!
You have really inspired me with your story at the end of your video. I watch these video shows and I feel like ,”I could never get that organized.’ But I really want to. So the people in the videos are like “Them” and people like me that are watching are “us.” Hearing your story let me know you ARE real. You get things out of place and get overwhelmed. Then you told us how to begin and go on to organize. You bridged that gap. Thank you. This a most inspiring video.👍
THIS is why we all love you! You're real and "get" us , and this is why (I now understand) I never felt like a bad human for having a messy craft area that happened to spill over into my office and kitchen and garage and... Hey! ...at least I didn't say bathroom! 🤭 With love from the Southern California desert, MK ❤☀️🌵
The thing about new viewers is that we haven't been around long enough to miss notifications, so we're just binge watching everything else. :) Jon in rural BC, Canada
🌻Norrine, During this “stay home” Covid19 time, I am rewatching many of your episodes. This is one of my favorites. Your thought processes are great to hear and see. I really love that you shared your home life with us and let us know that you get busy too, just like us. YOU ARE THE REAL DEAL, ❤️ THAT! You use your space wisely. I like what you said about “when things are in order, I am happy and do projects.” That is a great feeling and it is peaceful. 🌻THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU.🌻
The Crafty Organizer 💁🏻♀️Hi Norrine, I am wondering about yard sales. Do you have any ideas on how to organize and have a good yard sale? Ideas: set up, best days/time, pricing, number of people to help out, haggling, amount of money for change in my fanny pack, neighbors joining with a sale of their own. 😎We had a sale last fall, (hadn’t had one in 12 years) and we made $1,094. It was a 2 day event. We were very pleased with the way it went. We have stuff leftover, so we’re going to do another this summer/fall, especially with “Covid19 cleaning” going on with me. 👍🏼 My son is my biggest helper and we enjoy the whole event. THANKS, Diana in Albuquerque 🙋🏻♀️
Wow!!🤓 the shelf over the cereal container idea is great and i love the seasonal velcroed picture frame!! You used that space very wisely!! I see you are great at your job 🤓😉
I found you 3 days ago, I subscribed immediately.! I’ve been binge watching your videos and not only do I love your info, your style, I love your honesty, you are transparent about your life, as well as your shut down periods, I love you for that as well, as I too deal with the same issues.! Thank you for you.!! Blessings.! 💖💖
Although I've seen this video sometime ago, I just got new ideas from it. That repurposed stereo wood with the baskets, just gave me an "aha" moment. I recently saw that people are using wood pallets to create shelving etc. As an apartment dweller, I could get an old door or pallet to mount things on, then lean that against a wall --- to avoid attaching things into the walls.
Well I might have to hold up on one project unless I can order on line. Went to 2 DS they were out of everything I was looking for. I just received my orange colored corner etc measure guide. That is the coolest thing I have ever seen. So glad you had one, would never have thought such a thing existed. Had to wait, they were out YOU must have caused a surge in sales..lol. I bought vinyl floor strips over a year ago to use behind my sink but hated to start because of too many cuts around cabinets electrical plugs etc. Thank you, gotta go play with my new toy in the tool box 😊😊😊❤️
Exactly what i went through. Had to move my craft space several times due to kids moving out and in. It was just pounded die lack of time and desire. I got depressed. Ann's the thing that i live to do became my sore spot. Finally beyond that punt.
Love that you rearrange large items in you kitchen. Mine is similar in that I have a lot of moveable shelving units and also an island on wheels and a couple of smaller wire shelves on wheels. Then there’s the dog food bin, trash can and recycle bin. Such a mess and never enough counter space. . Nothing seems to really function well. So I’m always trying to repurpose. Love how you use baskets on your homemade “”door” for fruit n such. And with your kiddos to also accommodate you’ve managed to make it all look so good and functional. Really like your ideas. 🙏💃
Thank you so much!!!! I saw a 'hack' to make our wire shelves look better by Katherine at Do It On A Dime. She took foam core sheets and wood looking contact paper, both from the dollar store, and made covers for each shelf. They looked great! I may try it. If I do, I'll send you a pic. ;) Thanks for watching!
2:20 I like those style boxes, I collected 6 of them from a Suppermarket and there great with there lid. Iv got some other boxes to and you have made me think I should spray paint or decorate them in some way. I have to many kinds of boxes so am slowly replacing them to just 2 kinds to make them easy to stack.
Love your colors & "thinking" on uses of space & your openness on how clutter effected you as it certainly does me! Would love to see a segment for older SHORT women on pantries, small kitchens & set ups!
Geez. I thought you were talking about me there for a moment. I knew I had to do something as well but it was overwhelming. People laugh but I started with my sock drawer. Then came the undie drawer. Then all of a sudden the closet was purged. Then the other drawers. Then the bathroom........ Just found you and immediately subscribed.
You have given me some ideas. Will get them in working order in my head and maybe draw them haha yeah, and email the ideas to you. Maybe you can come up with a (better plan!) I am going to home Depot and get the tallest rack and use as a wall on the other side of the Tall fridge. I have the same some counter space as you. Kerig, and Air fryer/oven take up large area. Microwave completely takes up the short one. I love my kitchen gadgets and don't use them because I hate to dig them out and find a space to use them🤐 I'm thinking.........,mmm We'll see
Great idea with the clothespins!!! Definitely going to make up cards so I can always change the boxes.. I don't have any cricket machine so it will never look like your gorgeous set up. But at least it'll be neat
Loved the tour and the little pointers you always are so kind to provide! I love the paper towel holder in your kitchen - could you please let me know where you bought it from? I do a lot of the same re-creates you do if I like something and it's ridiculously priced - I try to create my version too! It's really helpful to see all the items you reference and then you show how we can do the same thing(s) more economically. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us!
Thanks for sharing your organizing tips. I also appreciate your honesty as we all go thru those times where we are overwhelmed and not feeling too productive! Sometimes you just need a break! Glad you are back!
I love your ideas about the use of boxes & how to keep labels on! When you purge, instead of throwing things away, how about donating it to a women's shelter or somewhere?
ABSOLUTELY!!! I did an entire video on feel-good reasons to purge! When I say get rid of.... I always mean to a donation/charity/someone who can use it. Thanks for saying that! I will be more clear in the future. :) ua-cam.com/video/O_-O7MykWBM/v-deo.html
Congratulations on your reorganised kitchen but mostly for being open and honest about ourself. I am currently attempting to organise my scrap booking cupboard, omg I am a hoarder. How do you throw stuff out that you have purchased and not feel guilty ???? Lexie from Australia
Hello again, Lexie!!! Try asking yourself: 1. Would I buy this today? 2. Is keeping it causing me anxiety? 3. Do I have an immediate need for it? If you answered NO to 1 and or 3, but yes to 2 - you don't have to feel guilty!!!! Give yourself permission to let it go - then pass it on to someone who needs/wants it. Schools are the BEST place to donate craft items.
I understand totally what you went through and I’m so happy that you’re doing good now. I understand because I am now going through a time when my craft area is crazy 😜 messy and I have to clean, store and get ready cuz my craft area is moving and it’s so OVERWHELMING!!!! My anxiety goes through the roof and I shut down, so I totally feel what you went through. I do enjoy your videos. Thank you so much 😊
Thank you so much I appreciate it, I can use all the help I can get. My daughter can help me but I hate to ask her she’s got a full time job and is newly married. I need to find 21 things to purge everyday, keep, Toss, donate or sell!!
Your title sucked me in, now I'm Yours, lol. I've decluttered so much but I need ideas on Homing and organizing the items I need. Thank you, please make more of these types of videos. PS, love how you have arranged your tiny kitchen.
Where did you get the grey/black/white paper on your boxes and back wall. I love it and the color you coordinated with in Robin eggs blue. It is so helpful when you share what you really go through and it looks like you have it all together. So we are a like and have a few shut down when things are disorganized. You deserve to have a break. Thanks for all your help.
Thank you so much! I have just discovered your channel and find it very useful. I totally agree with your opinion on Marie Kondo and Clutterbag as expressed in a different video.
Love this in every way. The kitchen wow love love 😍 it my kitchen is small too and like you I have all of same. Thank you and thanks 😊 so much for you honestly ❤️ God bless 🙏🙏😇 and your family.
Love your videos! And your honesty, ‘cause sometimes it gets ugly! I have the same issues now and again. Yep, I’m new here, and you got me! Pleeeeeeease, keep going!!!!!! Lol. Hugs from Brazil.
Love the kitchen areas. Where did you get that gorgeous paper towel holder......(haven’t watched to end yet......)......so you may or may not say. 🌹❤️🌹
I am binge watching. i have enjoyed all so far. I do appreciate that you are giving us a glimpse into your home and how you are implementing your organization for yourself. A couple of questions. I love your boxes in your art /office. Do you have a link or even where you bought them? I love my art supplies and I used to be a very visual person. But now seeing all of it freezes me up. It's like having a hundred people in the room and they are all talking at the same to me. And where in the world did you get your paper towel holder? It's adorable.
I have those kitchen containers and I have had a couple of them crack/break from dropping or knocking them off. Have you had that problem? Thanks for all the tips.
I really like the Walmart containers and your shelves. I much prefer clear containers because out of sight out of mind although your coloured boxes sure look pretty!
I like your black baskets that are mounted on the wood. I also like your little shelf that you have above your Keurig. I have a similiar set up. That would help in the coffee area. I have a bunch vitamin bottles next to the Keurig and they look tacky and cluttery. (Is that a word?) I just subscribed to your channel. Enjoying very much! 😎
Thank you I need help with my counter top I have everything on it like you said but I have no place else to store them my coffee machine my toaster my fruit stand but I like to have pretty things out to look at them but it started to look pretty full not sure what to do
I have just found you and have subscribed :-))) This week-end I have been trying to organize my home...I too live in a small home and all of my stacks of stuff were taking it over...I plan on going back to your previous videos to gain inspiration....thx for everything...take care, Kathy
I AGREE! I have been to Ikea only one time, in Denver. It is overwhelming and unbelievable, but amazing, right? 🤣 Hope I go again. I’ll be ready with measurements and a “game plan.” 🤣
Where did you find your boxes? I really like them. If you like decluttering and organizing you would love my whole house!! I need help everywhere! Wish you lived close to me because I need all the help I can get. Lol. I don't have a lot of room in my craft room and instead of shelves I have cube units. I do so many different crafts. I try doing the like stuff together but I also have a lot of miscellaneous stuff. How do I organize lots of small miscellaneous stuff? Any help would be greatly appreciated
I love cubbies!!!! You just have to break down the items into cubes that fit. So, if you have a 12x12 cube... see if you can fit 4 narrow shoe boxes. I've had luck with narrow shoe boxes at Daiso or other Japanese markets. They are usually 4.5-5 inches wide... so you can do two side by side with another two stacked on top. Great visual - AND you can break things down into smaller categories. Email me a pic! CallClutterFairy@gmail.com
I used to get supplements by mail & saved all the 5" square, flap lid boxes. Most finally got a coat of decopauge & scrapbook paper & magnetic lids. I kept them in neutral colors b&w brn & crm. I can't see inside but my alcohol inks, stickles, pearl paints have a box. Each holiday has a box, (my only moment of genius) -a couple boxes have individual projects. The boxes are all stuffed into a salvaged desk drawer, standing on end. A spice store near me tosses out beautiful painted shipping boxes, so I grabbed 5 or 6 but I don't think I can use them all. I'm definitely using that idea for my loose die cuts! My dies exploded into my space, when they sb stuck to projects I can't seem to finish.
Call Clutter Fairy haven’t been able to get to my craft room last few days due to other things. Lol will have to move temporary card table I put in there to make my wreaths but yeah I think the cubbies are 12 x 12. Not sure about the narrow shoe boxes because I haven’t seen any
Just a suggestion, if you haven’t used some of your craft items, please don’t throw them away. Donate to a thrift store. I get a lot of my supplies there, but I only go to stores that help the community like for women’s shelter. Just a suggestion.😊🧚♀️

I do Love the idea of using a timer. You have mentioned this in other videos but it really does help when motivation is tough. LOL. 🤣

Having a clutter free home is more than just pretty ( which yours certainly is), it also makes for less stress. Stress can make you sick, for real.
I love the idea of clothespin clips for labels and the handles you put on the magazine holder boxes in a nice touch, Thanks for the ideas
Thanks!!!! I stole the idea from Pinterest! LOL It was super easy :)

I use pretty home made tie on luggage style labels on boxes and containers ,for those that give problems with stick on labels.
Great idea! I'd love to see them!
Like ur Walmart finds, and the closing trick❤️
Thank you I need help with my counter top I have everything on it like you said but I have no place else to store them my coffee machine my toaster my fruit stand but I like to have pretty things out to look at them but it started to look pretty full not sure what to do
Email me a pic - I'll see if I have any suggestions.... CallClutterFairy@gmail.com

Tee hee.... it was a cookie cooling rack from the dollar store. ;)
Thank you so much for being Real!
Thanks!

Cool ! Great video~
Where do you donate your old craft supplies?
Local schools and/or senior centers usually take them. :)
I have just found you and have subscribed :-))) This week-end I have been trying to organize my home...I too live in a small home and all of my stacks of stuff were taking it over...I plan on going back to your previous videos to gain inspiration....thx for everything...take care, Kathy
Welcome, Kathy! Keep me posted! I'm rooting for you! xoxo
Behind you on your shelve.....how do you have the power strip attached......?
🌹
I'm bad..... I put two screws right into my desk hutch to hang it.
Wow,,,,another great video.
Aww, thanks, Ann!
New Subbie here! Love your channel!
Where did you buy the light blue boxes you put stuff in?? Love your ideas thanks so much!
In an earlier video, the one titled “ Office and Craft Room,” Noreen said she bought them from Ikea. They were on sale, I think they were $2 each!
ABQdianne ABQ thank you!. I went recently for the first time but it was overwhelming. I have a catalog not sure what section they would be in?
@@brrjohnson8131 I love repurposing!!!! That's awesome!
Call Clutter Fairy haven’t been able to get to my craft room last few days due to other things. Lol will have to move temporary card table I put in there to make my wreaths but yeah I think the cubbies are 12 x 12. Not sure about the narrow shoe boxes because I haven’t seen any
To add counter space, I hope you have put your paper towels under the cabinet. I realize this video was a while back...
Another ❤❤❤ !!!... Great Video and very helpful and informative !!!... #FutureGoals
Just a suggestion, if you haven’t used some of your craft items, please don’t throw them away. Donate to a thrift store. I get a lot of my supplies there, but I only go to stores that help the community like for women’s shelter. Just a suggestion.😊🧚♀️
