Have a cheap standard hydraulic pipe bender, and you kink pipe easily? Here is how i fix this problem on mine, Not necessarily the right way to do it, but it is the way i did it.
One of the best tips I have seen for this contraption. I am also making a conversion tool to bend 14 gauge sheet metal for brackets, braces and custom fabrication, since I do not need or want a press.
Cool dude, I took you're advice & getting better results. I'm under the impression that it's the sides that benefit from support as the roof of the jig does not even touch the tube after a bend.
I have the same bender in orange from Harbor Freight. Have had the same problem when I bend rigid 3/4 conduit building exhaust for small engines. Going to give this a try. Thanks 👍
I made a comment a week ago, and then the bottle jack failed. It has barely been used, but when pumping the handle, the piston would raise and lower in rhythm with the jacking action, so the relief valve was not seating. I took the jack apart to clean, and the oil was very contaminated. It has barely been used. After a cleaning and fresh oil, it is working again. Unscrewing the center tubing took a 3 foot long pipe wrench plus a 3 foot pipe extension, and a lot of force. I also had to re-anchor the bench vice.

Tat is the smartest thing I have ever seen on utube. Thank u

Another tip. Always bend pipe with the seam on the side.
Seam on what side, perpendicular to the bend?

I did this yesterday. Works well. Thanks for the idea!
Glad to hear it worked!
Good video. Short and concise. Good tip!
Very neat fix, awesome thinking!
Good job. Thanks for sharing your insight and knowledge 👍

Yours a newer one? I think I have had mine for 20 years or so, and have not had an issue at all…knocking on wood…
@distortedsteelgarage Yes, the bottle jack came with the pipe bender, courtesy Cheap China.
Please? What is the distance between the two rollers for each steel tube and its diameter?❤
I'm going to try this thanks Forest
Did it work
Earned a sub with this. Thanks!
Thanks for the informational video. Were you able to bend without filling the pipe with sand as shown in other videos?
No sand, just the clamp I added to the bending die
Nice 👍
Thanks for sharing 👍
Great tip! Thanks
Solid
Mantap bang 👍🙂
Use a pipe bender for pipes and a tube bender for tubes. Easy
Just gotta spend $1000+. Easy
Thanks captain O 🫡
👍
Another way is to fill the pipe with sand
For real am going to try this😲
You misspelled pipe kinker in the title.
So

Thanks. I'll give that a try.
