If you understand how to set exposure values on the ZV-E10, you can have the log profiles baked into your recording. You don't necessarily need to have them tweaked in Davinci Resolve. I don't see the build quality as a deal breaker, there are after market camera cages that can make it more robust. You get what you pay for. Again, the menu system is not great but you can also customise it to your own preference.
I'd like to put in a good word for my camera, the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II. It shoots Cinema 4K video, has headphone and mic jacks as well as a fully articulating screen. Yes, it's only 8-bit, but the advantage over the GH5 is the reliable autofocus. The image stabilization is a little better too, although the GH5 is no slouch when it comes to stabilization. It's a better tool for vlogging and, of course, photography than the GH5. It can also be had for under $500 on the used market.
Great video, I wish the Canon EOS M was mentioned in this video, I feel it belongs up there especially with it’s cult following and available accessories
Good luck buying the BMPCC OG for $500. Sellers used to beg to give them away at $350 months ago and all the sudden one UA-cam video brought the thing back and now everyone wants a price of a new 6K for it. lol I know it’s a good camera but stop it people. It’s not a $1000 plus camera.
What would be your recommendation for a studio camera? I would like to sell my BMCC 6k G2 and invest in two sets of a lower priced 4k camera. Great overview, thanks!
Investing in a good camera and quality lens while learning the craft of videography is often the better choice if you’re serious about improving your skills. For example, if I had $500 to spend, I’d likely put it toward a camera rather than a phone if my goal was to focus solely on video. However, only you can truly decide what’s best for your situation. That said, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with shooting on a phone-it can still produce great results, especially with proper technique.
hello there ! thanks for the video and I'd like to know if there's a better camera for streaming compared to my lumix G7 please ? thanks a lot and take care ! keep up the great work 👍
It reminds me that I had a cheap camera and took some pictures at minus 20 degrees celsius outside (in Canada) and had to use the garanty to have it repaired...

You're making think I wanna go back to my 5DMKII! 😂 ML did not have all those options when I was last using it. I def miss it as a stills camera tbf.
Right? It has come a long way!

How are you attaching the C Mount 16mm to the BMPCC Original? I love the look of those lenses
Hi Elijah! You’ll want to get a c mount to micro four thirds lens adapter geni.us/PrelY
Ok but how much does ML crop in with the raw recording formats?
It does not crop in 1080!
hello mate! what lense did you use with the 5dii i the first shots? ty ;)
Hi! I used the Helios 44-2!
canon eos m with magic lantern ??
Very helpful. I wondering if Panasonic G9 with updates would be a better option than the GH5?
Could be also good option, especially for photo!

It would depend on what your shooting, but I think the ZV-E10 or the new ZV-E10 ii might be a solid choice, since you would have autofocus!
@@NatesFilmTutorials Thank you! 🙏
How are these cameras comparing to high end phones regarding video? Sorry for this rookie question, I am new and consider buying a phone or a camera.

@@NatesFilmTutorials thank you for this great reply :)
I'm looking to totally overhaul my 3 cameras. Just need a faster auto focus
Oohh... What are you currently shooting with?
Hi! with te BMPCC to change de aperture in automatic lenses y just press right or left in the "pad"
Genius! Thanks man!
Whats killing are the lenses, they are so expensive 😫
great video!
Appreciate it! What camera do you shoot with?

I'd recommend the ZVE-10 for that! Great autofocus, plus adding a power supply you would be ready to stream in no time!
mate I think you are going to live to at least 98 years
m50??
That’s a good one! But I’d look for a ZV-E10 if you can swing it
@@NatesFilmTutorials yeah other than the roling shutter effect thats a nice camera
you lied you said under 500$
Why would u put a camera in the freezer
To distract you from the DVD’s
