It’s so unfortunate that this is what creators have to do to get views nowadays. But know that I will always watch and enjoy whatever content you put out, Mike. I’m proud to say that I have never downloaded TikTok, nor do I plan to

I don’t think most of these creators stay relevant For any longer than a week. I don’t have tik tok, but I guess it is The same as yt shorts or IG reels, and I know For a fact, No one goes out to follow these creators. + these guys don’t have real personalisty, u watch few shorts and go „eh cool” and move on. U don’t even know who they are, hence forth people welcomed back EDP on tiktok, they are clueless.

It seems like the younger generation is craving the vilification we got as young metalheads in the 80s and 90s. Unfortunately for them, there is no comparison. Kardashians are wearing metal shirts. When I was young, people were getting life sentences for crimes they didn't commit because they listened to heavy metal. It's not the same.

My buddy had never been to a concert before, let alone a metal mosh pit gig. He's a country boy. Had extra tix to Volbeat and Anthrax. Oh, yes...he was introduced suddenly and without warning (and totally intentionally lol) to the pit. But same night there was a bunch of kids there too, and we guarded off a section where all the 8 and 10 and 5 year olds got to bouncy house off each other for a song or three. It was goddamn adorable. Buddy told me he hates the music, but he'd come along to another show anytime. He didn't believe me when I said Volbeat was tame, so i introduced him to Static-X.

And the fact people can’t watch something or listen to something for more than 10 seconds to a minute is genuinely upsetting and sad because long ass songs like the thing that should not be or like solway Firth are actually pretty good this is a giant run on sentence that doesn’t make sense but I feel I just had to say it

I did a college presentaiton were I played a variety of metal songs in a pitch to get people to try different music. The kids posting this shit must be hyperfocusing on one or two off comments or just creating them in their head cuz reception was awesome and the only negative comments I've heard in my life about metal was that it was too loud. Mainly commenting for the algorithm but I hope anyone reading has a great day.

I'm gen Z and grew up with cassettes, CDs, and streaming. I got into LPs in my late teens. That Master of Puppets bit is kinda true because I have fallen asleep to that on the train or if I'm trying to listen to an album for the first time, sometimes I'm just so tired that even while listening to "loud" or "extreme" music, I just fall asleep even while I'm trying to pay attention. Caffeine also gives me the paradoxical effect most of the time and sometimes ironic.

    • @pip5528
      @pip5528 Рік тому

@IchigoMatsumoto1889 In practical terms, yes. However, you can get better sound quality out of them with the right gear than the average person thinks you can. Modern decks aren't fully up to the same standard as vintage high-end ones yet and they apparently don't have the licensing for Dolby Noise Reduction specifically so they implement something else but you can also get new cassettes since they made a comeback although not as big as vinyl did. Cassette decks don't require a ton of setup but they require more internal maintenance than turntables. You can also still get full-size CD and SACD decks.

For many years - between 15 and 25, I would go to bed every night to the sound of a full rock.album - loud!
I upgraded to a triple disc player, and would select some unique mix every night, and put it on shuffle.
So...Def Leppard Hysteria...Smashing Pumpkins Aeroplane flow high box set single/EP....Pearl Jam No Code..
    Or..
GnR Lies...NIN the fragile...Counting Crows Recovering the Satellites.
    Or...
Silverchair Freakshow... Powderfinger Double Allergic...Rage Against the Machine (self titled)
See how much fun it was, the 3 CD player on shuffle..??
And no other time do you give your full, undivided attention to music appreciation. In the day, you'll be driving, working... something else. And you don't consume whole albums at a time.
But beddy byes...?? It's go time! It takes me away - and I had a hard time learning to fall asleep without it.
I also drank quite heavily, back then..so, often I'd be moderately toasted as I drifted off on a fluffy cloud of Siamese Dream Fuzz....
    Good times! 😄👍

11:20 That's pretty much the difference between parenting in the USA vs Europe. In Europe, we just let our kids pretty loose so they can have experiences by their own. While in the USA parents want to "overcontrol" their children and filter what they experience. We also take our Kids to Football/Socer games where adults are mostly drunker and more aggressive than at metal festivals.

I find it a slight bit funny because I thought it was basically a satire of the acoustic one (and the trillion others like it) from right before. at least thats how I interpreted it. On the other hand, the Iron Maiden one was actually so cringey that I couldn't really watch that entire section of the video. that, and the one at 3:19 are what I'd consider "bad cringe". good cringe is stuff like Troll 2 or the Room. you cringe at them but they're enjoyable. those two Tiktoks, in particular, are legit hard to watch.

My biggest pet peave is low effort content outperforming high quality content. Unless it’s funny of course

You can tell all of these aside from the wholesome ones were made by teenagers 'cause it's all just the most surface level shit about metal that no one who's progressed past that point would ever even think to say to people because we realised how super fucking cringe it is.

man said "forced" when i bet he could cross the 200k subscriber threshold sooner if he put his popular clips on the platform, but, i suppose that's too poisonous for the brand, right?

Gotta say, my folks and buddie's folks were pretty open to the stuff I listened to. Short bouts of it were okay for them but they could listen to some surprisingly heavy stuff and not complain about it too much. Some stuff they genuinely enjoyed. Tik Tok is annoying as hell generally speaking. Nice Rob Zombie Mike 😂.
