really love how Mr. Robot steps in when being asked about the plan. No door slam no footsteps, just walks right in front of Elliot (literally taking over his place) and the proceeds to explain it. Really goes to show how much thought they've put into this show.
She knew he was batshit, or it's a plot hole. She's not all upstairs herself so... hmm I remember the episode where he tried to french her and not realize she's his sister. She reminded him that this was the time and time again as if he's done it before. Sick fugger if you ask me, but she was using that.
It's brilliant that everything said means something else, now that we know the ending. that we see Darlene needed to entertain and lure her brother whenever he is his Master self and doesn't know her to get him back to a place he knows and immediately let's Mr Robot take over, both of thrm protecting Elliot from the distraction or pain of knowing who his sister is. And his Mr. Robot even told the truth about his father being awful in frustration... with himself. 🏆✨
9:26 SPOILERS AHEAD Do you think here if the mastermind would have left, it means Elliot father's personality would have been the one in control of Elliot's mind during the rest of the series? Because IMO it appears to be that. This scene is of course a discussion Elliot is having in his head. So I believe when he says to the mastermind that if he leaves he is no longer part of this, it is a metaphor. He is saying that if the mastermind leaves his mind and so he won't save the world, then Elliot's father personality will take over. Thus the rest of the series would have been different. Actually in 9:39 he repeats that he will save the world if he stays. What we now know is the goal of the mastermind.
If Mastermind leave, no way Mr robot kill and do phase 2 Mr Robot only push phase 2 so that Mastermind who have a hero complex that want to protect Elliot from the world, will erase evil corp, so erase evil so Elliot take back control. Mr Robot is here to help Mastermind "saving everyone" so then "hey kiddo come on it's all good now, ELLIOT CAN GO BACK PLEASE?" So if MM leave at that scene, then instanetly , Mr robot will say "ok Elliot, it's over, come on". Mr robot is, in a way the good guy during the whole show. He's the "come on... Dude, the entire promise of the series is that you see things from Elliots perspective, and thus that you never know what's right or wrong. It's why you see Mr. Robot in the first place. It's why you always hear "evil corp" when _anyone_ says E-Corp. It's why you see the black men outside the subway.
The show presents the group conversation to appear that way intentionally. The ending of the series explains why scenes like this were filmed in such fashion.
*spoilers spoilers* *SpoilerS* because Mr Robot is not imaginary. When only Elliott and Mr Robot are talking, they're talking in their mind, as ofc they're sharing the same mind. But when Mr Robot is talking to others he's what in DID is called 'fronting' - he's now the personality that 'took control' over body and he can use Elliott's body and voice to speak for himself. That's why Elliot is behind Mr Robot when Mr Robot is talking or taking action. In these scenes Elliot is there only mentally, seeing this scene with their shared body.
