i love the conflicting personalities of the protector and the mastermind here. the mastermind is thinking about saving those kids, the protector is thinking about... protecting him and elliot, the body. the way these two alters clash in their inceptions for being is truly so well written. the protector knows the mastermind wont give up, but tries anyway, because that is the nature of both of their alter personalities. such an amazing show.

"Ray is not some.. coffee shop owner" I really thought he was worried about what kinda guy ray was cause he ran the site.. after finishing the series I see what the true concern was and how much simpler it is than that.
Ray is arguably worse. He runs a black market and ignoring everything that goes on there just for a profit. It doesn’t help the fact that kids are sold on the website with actual hitmen. But yeah, I can see what Mr Robot’s concern was here.

Well, IMO before starting to learn about cyber security, you need a solid understanding of networking, programming and computer hardware. After that, try to get some hacking tools, and try to understand how, and what the tools do by either looking at the source code (if available), or by reverse-engineering them. There are also many website with hacking challenges for all skill levels.
I've only ever watched the first few episodes of this show years ago when it was still on. And watching this now makes me realize how similar this show is to Dexter, the internal monologues, the hallucinations, the themes etc. are so similar

That's why they send a whole unit from the FBI to arrest him Illusion is Control, but it was mostly for the environment, not so much for the situations (except the illusions of Mr. Robot)
