Not sure you're able to achieve Caro Kann as white since Black doesn't get the opportunity claim the center. I can't see myself ever choosing to open C3 as white. You can play a Queen's Gambit and claim the two tempi advantage plus no black pawn on e4. This would avoid the more London-ish set ups. (Not sure if it counts as an advanced Caro like structure?) Overall you seemed far more comfortable with the 15/10 structure, so I hope you stick with it. Also your opponent used negative time LOL.
1.c3 of course isn't a viable opening really but the idea is just to get caro esque positions to explore the typical ideas of the caro to be played with black
the challenge idea is quite cool. Certainly more ethical than Hikaru's disrespect speedrun damaging the sanity of low-elo players. Could be fun to do something like that once I hit 2k, like the dragon against everything.
I don't think I could improve on that. Logical straightforward and accurate. That said I would play dc, followed by b4 and Nb3. Analysis: I liked Nc3 better too. Trading down, you win because your bishop controls the queening square for the king rook pawn. I think.
I don't think the caro as white is good. You give up any advantage you had as white on your 1st move. I'm not convinced that playing it as white gives you good opportunities to win compared with other white openings. It is going to get much harder as you go up the rating ladder. How high do you think you can get with it?

Ahh that's a good point but hey a wins a win 😂
yeah I also really don't like playing g5 just from experience, it weakens the king sode and you'd have to play very accurately to keep it together
Good point, may be objectively good but only with ridiculously accurate play

No chance I look like him 😂
Tbh i prefer the time scrambles because you can also teach how to handle a time scramble by playing simple moves.
Fair point but I'm horrible in low time 😂
