An exceptional generation of players (probably with Fabi leading them) busting their heads against the fact they reached their peak on the Magnus Era. SadButTrue
It would be really bad for Fabi if he never becomes the world champion ever..
Meh, Aronian had a clear path to the title in 2012 when Magnus didn't play, he was the highest-rated participant and the champion, Anand, had called Aronian his "nightmare opponent." He just choked. Karjakin chose not to play anymore due to politics, and now Magnus has given up the title with the other guys still in their primes. Nepo couldn't beat Ding and everyone else couldn't qualify over Gukesh.

4 times World Champion - Sum Tin Wong (Cn)
@yourstruly1234 Yes, it's sad. But it seems like his prime and his generation chess got over with Magnus refusing to play WCC as you gotta admit that you gotta have a strong league of opponents and rivals in order to become better and keep pushing for more in life
Agad has in his channel an old video of the only game between Fabi and Korchnoi, where Korchnoi gave Fabi a masterclass in dynamic play. And Fabi learned the lesson very well.
I actually found the bishop brilliancy, but probably only because I was told there is a brilliancy there...
"And here, Hikaru is already lost. It is merely a matter of how he wants to go down."
What a savage comment 🤣
I remember this game, and remember Hikaru's facial expressions, it was a hard time for Hikaru
When I see immortal in the description, I immediately hope for an immortal game
Fingers crossed 🤞
I think Fabi's Immortal was against Hikaru, but in 2016, not 2014, and at the London Chess Classic
Crazy that this was 10 years ago feels like forever
I want in my wedding Antonio says to my guest: "Hello everyone, welcome. "❤
I did see Qe4 as an option Bh4 not 5-5 incredible I guess we can not expect Fabi to find all the Brilliant moves I have seen him miss a few in last couple years he totally dominated this game against a tough opponent in Hikaru Thanks for the game Agadmator enjoy your day 😊♟️‼️
Realized partway through that I was physically there watching this game in StL.
I bet Agad never wants to replace medo/get another dog. although I think it would be great for the channel if he had another furry friend in the background 😊❤
I'm out of the loop, did Medo die? I must have missed the video, link please?
Me too , let us know
I agree, I miss those days where his medo was lively in the background ❤
@@rollotomasi1832yes Medo passed not too long ago in recognition and honor you see photo of Medo where the usual bot 🤖 would be
@@michaelmassaro4375 how sad. 😞 where did Antonio inform his viewers, do you know?
Back when Fabiano Maruana
so true
To be honest I found Bh4 Antonio, but I have to keep watching your videos coz I am addicted to you and your channel, it's been more than 4 years, you have become my family now
With this play Fabiano could have definitely become a world champion.
14:17 this was before Hikaru turned into a madman playing online chess
A 22 year old Fabi had a tournament performance rating of 3103. To compare, Sofia Polgar's Sac of Rome, widely believed as one of the greatest single performances ever (male, female, or otherwise) had a performance of 2879. Granted she wasn't even 2400 at the time and she was 14. She went 8.5/9
The team games after the tournament with garry and magnus etc were very fun.
We demand daily Rapid Chess Action on lichess! #suggestion
Bishop h4 is the easiest move I have ever found on your videos😂 does that make me 2700😂😂😂
Something to consider: when doing a saga of a specific player, showing their side at the bottom, regardless if white or black #suggestion . Thx for the consistently great content!
He stopped that years ago because it tends to ruin the suspense.
You usually want the focus to be on the winner.
I say keep it neutral.
...Bh4! Wow! D:
Good tactical presentation.
I have learned something here... :)
Thank you :)
NEWS FLASH- This just in. Agadmator steps out of his comfort zone and interviews Caruana on the next episode!
"Fabiano, what was your most memorable game of the 2014 Singuefield Cup"?
"Probably the one with Magnus. He had been pretty unbeatable at the time".
"What were thoughts when you moved the bishop to G5 against ...........:
We will never know.
Fabi's tragedy is being born in the same era of Magnus Carlsen, he could have been the No1 player in the world if not for that
yaa fabi is indeed no1 material but he is born in the era of unvincible alien
It was after this year that Hikaru took this personally and proceeded to beat Fabi in every online format since then

@@michaelstephenvargas8821 He's 4 games up against caruana post covid
Caruana has been over 2840 ELO twice and qualified for a World Championship match (the major one) where he drew the champion 12 times. It's hard to top that without becoming a World Champion yourself.
"& who can blame him"
Hopefully this form of Fabi gets back while Nakamura and Firouzja hits their 2800 status again. That would be an amazing candidates tournament.
LOL. I saw Bh4 without even pausing. And I'm only ~1800 on FIDE.
Highlander rules apply when it comes to this game. There can only be one
Have you thought about going back to acting?
I loved your role in Guy Ritchie movie "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels".😄
Who, Agadmator? I thought he was in Braveheart.
Let's be real here. What Fabiano was in 2014 is not what he is today. He doesn't dominate Hikaru or anybody else quite like here.
Find someone who adores you as much as Agad adores B4!! 3:40
Luck really is on Fabi's side this tournament !!!!
#suggession please do a Hikaru Nakamura saga as well
Am I the only one always hearing "pudding pressure" instead of "putting pressure"?
I found (blundered) the move for people rated over 2500 and I'm a lowly 900😂😂😂
I found the sac and am 1500 elo...lmao....you shouldn't have hinted a sac!!! I think almost everyone found it.
Do only i think that Agad posts mostly Hikaru's defeats?
Not really, check his channel, he had a lot of Hikaru's wins, maybe more than losses
lol I knew bh4 was the move because that pawn just moved and that’s the only weakened square. No idea why it’s winning . Ok got to keep watching
What's the difference between him saying "it's a completely new game" and "this position has never been reached before?"
Completely new game is for recently played games when they reach a position that has never been reached before. This position has never been reached before is for much older games. The position was new at the time it was reached but other games have since reached that same position.
Am I blind... @12:00 why didnt Hikaru play Qg8# ? no matter where Black king goes, Queen can pick up e6 and b5 pawns or pick up an easy repetitive...
And @12:55 again didn't he miss Qd4+, picking up Fabi's rook on f2 for free?!
@@yanair2091 No - Bc5 blocks and protects rook. I doubt these GM miss any line.
found Bh4 😁
I found that move bh4😅
Stockfish after watching this game: "Hello ignorant human,i told u to watch my games not Blundermorra's games!".... Stocky is pathetic
Why not do a magnus miniature agad?
I’m 1500 but still I am able to make totally new game within move 7/8/9 😅
Found bishop to h4 ..still below 1400 rated🤣

#suggestion Magnus Carlsen (white pieces) vs Daniel Bogdan Deac (black pieces) , titled tuesday final round 03/09/24
unbelievable ending
That was a very nice game but I thunk magnus mouseslipped at last right??
@@nikhildawani2913 I dont know but Deacs defense for many moves with 3 seconds on the clock was really impressive as Magnus had over a minute for most of the endgame
2nd: 2023 USCC - Atousa almost beat Carissa Yip, the eventual winner!
Carissa was losing most of the game. Atousa just blundered in the end.
It's Hikaru's (rapid WFRCC) WIFE vs Wesley's (classical WFRCC) GIRLFRIEND.

First
I have no doubt that Fabi cheated in this entire tournament … for the first 3 games no one suspected him as everyone thought that Fabi was performing well…. But the 4th game against Levon did not sit well with many players … and then the 5th game against Hikaru gave more credence to the theory … Fabi again cheated in the 6th game but came to know official doubt about his games had been reported to the tournament organisers and Arbiters and that he will be investigated in game 7 onwards so he did not cheat in that game but won the game nonetheless because everyone else was so disgusted and fed up of Fabi … eventually Fabi stopped using engine and rather played two popular drawish line in the last two games … He cheated in the first 6 games
